We report the HST pixel analysis results of the interacting S0 galaxy, NGC 5195 (M51B), using the HST/ACS images in the F435W, F555W and F814W (BVI) bands. After 4x4 binning of the HST/ACS images to secure sufficient signal-to-noise ratio for each pixel, we derive several quantities describing the pixel color-magnitude diagram (pCMD) of NGC 5195, such as blue/red color cut, red pixel sequence parameters, blue pixel sequence parameters and blue-to-red pixel ratio. Those parameters reflect the internal properties of NGC 5195 like age, metallicity, dust content and galaxy morphology. To investigate the spatial distributions of stellar populations, we divide pixel stellar populations using the pixel color-color diagram and population synthesis models. As a result, we find that the tidal interaction with NGC 5194 significantly affects the stellar populations in their dust content and mean stellar age.
We report the HST pixel analysis results of the interacting face-on spiral galaxy, NGC 5194 (M51), which is the first step of a new observational research project, PANCluG (Pixel Analysis of Nearby Cluster Galaxies). We derive several quantities describing the pixel color-magnitude diagram (pCMD) of NGC 5194, suitable for future comparisons with the pCMDs of other galaxies. We investigate the spatial distribution of pixel stellar populations, finding that the spiral arm pattern and the tidal interaction with NGC 5195 significantly affect the stellar populations in NGC 5194. We find that the pixels corresponding to the central active galactic nucleus (AGN) of NGC 5194 show a very tight sequence in the bright-end of the pCMD, of which spatial distribution seems to agree with the AGN torus region.

Security system with web camera remarkably has been developed at an Internet era. Using transmitted images from remote camera, the system can recognize current situation and take a proper action through web. Existing motion detection methods use simply difference image, background image techniques or block matching algorithm which establish initial block by set search area and find similar block. But these methods are difficult to detect exact motion because of useless noise. In this paper, the proposed method is updating changed background image as much as $N{\times}M$pixel mask as time goes on after get a difference between imput image and first background image. And checking image pixel can efficiently detect motion by computing fixed distance pixel instead of operate all pixel.
To understand the coevolution of Brightest Cluster Galaxies (BCGs) and their host clusters, we conduct a case study on the BCGs in dynamically young and old clusters, Abell 1139 (A1139) and Abell 2589 (A2589). We analyze the pixel color-magnitude diagrams (pCMDs) using deep g- and r-band images, obtained from the CFHT observations. (1) While the overall shapes of the pCMDs are similar to those of typical early-type galaxies, the A2589-BCG tends to have redder mean pixel color and smaller pixel color deviation at given surface brightness than the A1139-BCG. (2) The mean pixel color distribution as a function of pixel surface brightness indicates that the A2589-BCG formed a larger central body by major dry mergers at an early epoch than the A1139-BCG, while they have grown commonly by subsequent minor mergers. (3) The spatial distributions of the pixels with deviated colors reveal that the A1139-BCG experienced considerable tidal events more recently than the A2589-BCG, whereas the A2589-BCG has an asymmetric compact core possibly resulting from major dry merger at an early epoch. (4) The A2589-BCG shows a very large faint-to-bright pixel number ratio compared to early-type non-BCGs, whereas the ratio for the A1139-BCG is not distinctively large. These results imply that the BCG in the dynamically older cluster (A2589) formed earlier and is relaxed better.
In this paper, we propose an indoor-space recognition using DNN and super-pixel. In order to recognize the indoor space from the image, segmentation process is required for dividing an image Super-pixel is performed algorithm which can be divided into appropriate sizes. In order to recognize each segment, features are extracted using a proposed method. Extracted features are learned using DNN, and each segment is recognized using the DNN model. Experimental results show the performance comparison between the proposed method and existing algorithms.
Low spatial resolution remote sensing (RS) data (LSRD) are promising in agricultural monitoring activities due to their high temporal resolution, but under such a spatial resolution, mixing in a pixel is a common problem. In this study, a numerical experiment was conducted to explore a mixed pixel problem in agriculture using a combined RSsimulation model SWAP (Soil-Water-Atmosphere -Plant) and a Genetic Algorithm (GA) approach. Results of the experiments showed that it is highly possible to address the mixed pixel problem with LSRD.
Magnetic fields play an important role in supporting molecular clouds against gravitational collapse. The measured magnetic field strengths in molecular clods enable us to see the effect of magnetic fields in star-forming regions. People have used the Chandrasekhar and Fermi (CF) method to estimate magnetic field strength from observational quantities of molecular cloud density, turbulent velocity and polarization angle dispersion. However, previous studies obtained just one magnetic field strength over the quite large region of a molecular cloud by using the CF method. We here suggest a way to estimate magnetic field strength distribution in Orion A region. We used 450 and 850-micron polarization data of James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT). Magnetic field strengths were estimated in two wavelengths with 4 pixel resolutions of 16, 20, 24 and 28". Through statistical analysis, we proved the difference of magnetic field strengths between two wavelengths were caused by the difference of their beam sizes. Additionally, we calculated the radii of curvature of polarization segments to select a best pixel resolution for estimating the magnetic field distribution. The pixel resolution should be larger than a radius of curvature. We selected that 20 or 24" pixel resolutions are good choices towards Orion A region.
The extraction of 'end-pixels' (i.e. end-members) aims to quantify the abundance of different materials in a single pixel, which becomes popular in the subpixel analysis for hyperspectral dataset. In this paper, we present a new concept called 'End-Pixel of Features (EPF)' to extends the concept of end-pixels for multispectral data and even panchromatic data. The algorithm combines the advantages of previous simplex and clustering methods to search the EPFs in the feature space and reduce the effects of noise. Some experimental results show that, the proposed methodology can be successfully used to hyperspectral data and other remote sensing data.

This paper proposes a new and simple stereo matching algorithm using the disparity space image (DSI) technique. First of all, we detect some salient feature points on each scan-line of the image pair and set the matching area using those points and define a simple cost matrix. And we take advantage of matching by pixel-by-pixel instead of using the matching window. While the pixel-by-pixel method boost up the speed of matching, because of no using neighbor information, the correctness of the matching may not be better. To cover this point, we expand the matching path using character of disparity-space-image for using neighbor information. In addition, we devise the compensated matching module using the volume of the disparity space image in order to improve the accuracy of the match. Consequently, we can reduce mismatches at the disparity discontinuities and can obtain the more detailed and correct disparity map.

It is difficult to detect the accurate detection which leads the camera it moves follows in change of the noise or illumination and Also, it could be recognized with backgound if the object doesn't move during hours. In this paper, the proposed method is updating changed background image as much as N*M pixel mask as time goes on after get a difference between imput image and first background image. And checking image pixel can efficiently detect moving by computing fixed distance pixel instead of operate all pixel. Also, set up minimum area of object to use boundary point of object abstracted through checking image pixel and motion detect of object. Therefore motion detection is available as is fast and correct without doing checking image pixel every Dame. From experiment, the designed and implemented system showed high precision ratio in performance assessment more than 90 percents.
