레이저 메탈 디포지션 변수에 의한 표면경도 특성 분석 (Surface Hardness as a Function of Laser Metal Deposition Parameters)

  • The characteristics of the laser metal deposition parameters were studied to enhance the deposition efficiency using a diode pumped disk laser. STD61 hot tool steel plate and Fe based AISI M2 alloy were used as a substrate and powder for the laser metal deposition, respectively. Among the laser metal deposition parameters the laser power, track pitch and powder feed rate were used to estimate the deposition efficiency. From the experimental results, the deposition efficiency was shown to be excellent when 1.8kW laser power 500um track pitch and 10g/min of the powder feed rate were used. For this optimal condition the average hardness of the deposition track was approximately 830HV, and this value is 30~50% better than the hardness of the commercially produced tool steel after heat treatment.

Development of a Time-Domain Simulation Tool for Offshore Wind Farms

  • A time-domain simulation tool to predict the dynamic power output of wind turbines in an offshore wind farm was developed in this study. A wind turbine model consisting of first or second order transfer functions of various wind turbine elements was combined with the Ainslie's eddy viscosity wake model to construct the simulation tool. The wind turbine model also includes an aerodynamic model that is a look up table of power and thrust coefficients with respect to the tip speed ratio and pitch angle of the wind turbine obtained by a commercial multi-body dynamics simulation tool. The wake model includes algorithms of superposition of multiple wakes and propagation based on Taylor's frozen turbulence assumption. Torque and pitch control algorithms were implemented in the simulation tool to perform max-Cp and power regulation control of the wind turbines. The simulation tool calculates wind speeds in the two-dimensional domain of the wind farm at the hub height of the wind turbines and yields power outputs from individual wind turbines. The NREL 5MW reference wind turbine was targeted as a wind turbine to obtain parameters for the simulation. To validate the simulation tool, a Danish offshore wind farm with 80 wind turbines was modelled and used to predict the power from the wind farm. A comparison of the prediction with the measured values available in literature showed that the results from the simulation program were fairly close to the measured results in literature except when the wind turbines are congruent with the wind direction.

협 피치 FPC 커넥터의 사출 성형 해석 (Injection Molding Analysis for Narrow-Pitched FPC Connectors)

  • The narrow-pitched connectors are of interest for small-scale devices such as smart phones because of theirs caling. We conducted an injection molding analysis and a warp analysis for 0.3mm and 0.5mm pitch FPC connectors. We obtained a volumetric shrinkage of 4.344%, a clamping force of 0.2529 tonne, a maximum injection pressure of 76.3 MPa as optimized molding conditions for the 0.3mm pitch FPC connector. We found that, compared with the traditional injection molding technique, the injection molding for narrow-pitched connectors comes with distinct features like low clamping force, high injection molding pressure, and narrow gate size. Adding to the optimization analysis, the deflection of 0.5mm pitch FPC connector was analyzed as well. A maximum deflection of 0.053mm was calculated, which the actual deflection of 0.062mm was compared to. The results deduced a relative error of 17%. We conclude that the deflection analysis along with the optimization analysis can be used as an effective tool to predict the behavior of narrow-pitch connectors although the relative error may need to improve.

나사 리드 측정시스템 개발 (Development of The Screw Lead Measurement System)

  • This study proposes a new screw measurement system that is capable of measuring the pitch or lead of a screw, which is one of the most important parameters representing the screw quality. There are various conventional methods for screw measurement including some mechanical and optical ones, but they can not be applied to measure the lead except the profiles or sizes. The newly suggested method is able to measure the pitch or lead directly. This is executed by scanning the thread with a digital probe while the target screw rotates. The devised measurement system is a integrated computer system which is composed of a stepping motor, a digital linear gauge and a chuck device for holding the measured screw. In order to operate the system effectively and conveniently, a computer program having graphical user interface facility is developed. Some experiments were done to prove the effectiveness of the system.

실시간 음성분석도구의 MatLab 구현 (Matlab Implementation of Real-time Speech Analysis Tool)

  • There are many speech analysis tools available. Among them real-time analysis tool is very useful for interactive experiments. A real-time speech analysis tool was implemented using Matlab. Matlab is a very widely used general purpose signal processing tool. In general, its computational speed is relatively lower than that of the codes from conventional programming languages. Especially, real-time analysis including input of signal and output of the result was not possible in the past. However, due to the improvement of computing power of PCs and inclusion of real-time I/O toolboxes in Matlab, real-time analysis is now possible in some extent by Matlab only. In this experiment, we tried to implement a real-time speech analysis tool using Matlab. Pitch and spectral information is computed in real-time. From the result it is shown that such real-time applications can be implemented easily using Matlab.

  • Wind power is a type of clean energy source which does not produce carbon dioxide. The wind turbine industry is considered as a major growth industry in many countries. The main cause of wind turbine failure arises in the wind turbine gearbox, and the main type of damage occurs in the bearings and gears. Therefore, predictions of gear and bearing damage are very important to ensure the reliability of the wind turbine reducers used in these systems. In this research, in order to optimize the wind turbine reducer, a series of simulations and redesigns was done using the tool RomaxDesigner. The RomaxDesigner model was used to analyze the bearing life of the duty cycle for a 5 MW wind-turbine pitch drive and to calculate the load in operating states. The reducer was designed to satisfy the life requirement by analyzing bearing damage and calculating the stress values of the main parts of the reducer.

  • Through Silicon Via (TSV) is a technology that interconnects chips through silicon vias. TSV technology can achieve shorter distance compared to wire bonding technology with excellent electrical characteristics. Due to this characteristic, it is currently being used in many fields that needs faster communication speed such as memory field. However, there is performance degradation issue on TSV technology due to the parasitic capacitance. To deal with this problem, in this study, the parasitic capacitance with TSV design factors is analyzed using commercial tool. TSV design factors were set in three categories: size, aspect ratio, pitch. Each factor was set by dividing the range with TSV used for memory and package. Ansys electronics desktop 2021 R2.2 Q3D was used for the simulation to acquire parasitic capacitance data. DOE analysis was performed based on the reaction surface method. As a result of the simulation, the most affected factors by the parasitic capacitance appeared in the order of size, pitch and aspect ratio. In the case of memory, each element interacted, and in the case of package, it was confirmed that size * pitch and size * aspect ratio interact, but pitch * aspect ratio does not interact.

An approach to the system is based on the kinemateic of the object function. We make a determination of an cam programming. A CAM spline is continuous in displacement. velocity and acceleration. This program which can design Coil Spring shapes will successfully support CAN designing and manufacturing for Small & Medium companies.
