크랙을 가진 유체유동 파이프의 안정성 해석 (Stability Analysis of Pipe Conveying Fluid with Crack)

  • In this paper, the dynamic stability of a cracked simply supported pipe conveying fluid is investigated. In addition, an analysis of the flutter and buckling instability of a cracked pipe conveying fluid due to the coupled mode(modes combined) is presented. Based on the Euler-Bernouli beam theory, the equation of motion can be constructed by using the Galerkin method. The crack section is represented by a local flexibility matrix connecting two undamaged pipe segments. The stiffness of the spring depends on the crack severity and the geometry of the cracked section. The crack is assumed to be in the first mode of fracture and to be always opened during the vibrations. This results of study will contribute to the safety test and a stability estimation of the structures of a cracked pipe conveying fluid.

  • 합성보의 쉬어코넥트로 널리 사용되고 있는 스터드볼트는 현재 학회규준에 강재의 재질은 용접성을 고려한 SS400이 규정되어 있으며, 그 전단내력의 산정식은 압축강도 $300kgf/cm^2$ 이하의 콘크리트를 대상으로 하고 있다. 한편 합성구조의 보급에 따라 합성보 뿐만 아니라 다른 구조부분에서도 강재과 콘크리트를 결합하는 쉬어코넥트 혹은 다른 용도의 접합재의 필요성과 함께 강재와 콘크리트의 고강도화, 프리캐스트화가 예상된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고강도 콘크리트와 강부재를 결합하기 위한 고강도 스터드의 개발을 목적으로 행하여진 일련의 실험결과를 보고하였다. 또한 스터드의 강성을 증대시키기 위한 강관을 이용한 쉬어콘넥트(이하, 파이프 스터드라고 한다)를 고안하였다. 본 논문에서는 고강도 스터드의 용접성, 역학특성에 관한 실험적 검토와 동시에 고강도 고강성 스터드인 파이프 스터드의 강성 내력을 종래의 스터드 볼트와의 비교실험을 하여 파이프 스터드의 유효성을 검증한다.

Nonlinear vibration of FG-CNTRC curved pipes with temperature-dependent properties

  • In the current research, the nonlinear free vibrations of curved pipes made of functionally graded (FG) carbon nanotube reinforced composite (CNTRC) materials are investigated. It is assumed that the FG-CNTRC curved pipe is supported on a three-parameter nonlinear elastic foundation and is subjected to a uniform temperature rise. Properties of the curved nanocomposite pipe are distributed across the radius of the pipe and are given by means of a refined rule of mixtures approach. It is also assumed that all thermomechanical properties of the nanocomposite pipe are temperature-dependent. The governing equations of the curved pipe are obtained using a higher order shear deformation theory, where the traction free boundary conditions are satisfied on the top and bottom surfaces of the pipe. The von Kármán type of geometrical non-linearity is included into the formulation to consider the large deflection in the curved nanocomposite pipe. For the case of nanocomposite curved pipes which are simply supported in flexure and axially immovable, the motion equations are solved using the two-step perturbation technique. The closed-form expressions are provided to obtain the small- and large-amplitude frequencies of FG-CNTRC curved pipes rested on a nonlinear elastic foundation in thermal environment. Numerical results are given to explore the effects of CNT distribution pattern, the CNT volume fraction, thermal environment, nonlinear foundation stiffness, and geometrical parameters on the fundamental linear and nonlinear frequencies of the curved nanocomposite pipe.

The crack section is represented by a local flexibility matrix connecting two undamaged beam segments. The stiffness of the spring depends on the crack severity and the geometry of the cracked section. The crack is assumed to be in the first mode of fracture and to be always opened during the vibrations. This study will contribute to the safety test and stability estimation of structures of a cracked pipe conveying fluid.

탄성 지지된 밸브 배관계의 동적 불안정 (Dynamic Instability of Elastically Restrained Valve-pipe System)

  • The dynamic instability and natural frequency of elastically restrained pipe conveying fluid with the attached mass are investigated in this paper. Based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, the equation of motion is derived by using extended Hamilton's Principle. The influence of attached mass and its position on the dynamic instability of a elastically restrained pipe system is presented. Also, the critical flow velocity for the flutter and divergence due to the variation in the position and stiffness of supported spring is studied. Finally, the critical flow velocities and stability maps of the pipe conveying fluid with the attached mass are obtained by changing the parameters.

파괴모드 추정방법을 이용한 모르타르 충전식 슬리브 철근이음의 강성 평가 (Evaluation on Stiffness of Mortar-filled Sleeve Splice Using Estimation Method of Failure Mode)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 모르타르 충전식 슬리브 철근이음에 대한 부착강도식으로부터 유도한 이 철근이음의 파괴모드 추정방법을 이용하여, AIJ 규준에 의하여 평가한 이 슬리브 철근이음의 강성을 검토하였다. 이것을 위하여 261개 모르타르 충전식 슬리브 철근이음의 기존 실험자료를 채택하여 실험의 결과를 분석한 결과에 의하면 모르타르 충전식 철근이음의 파괴모드 추정방법은 돌기가 없는 강관 슬리브에 SD500 철근을 사용한 철근이음을 제외한 모르타르 충전식 슬리브 철근이음에 대한 강성을 효과적으로 평가할 수 있었다. 그리고 이 슬리브 철근이음의 파괴모드 추정방법에 적용하여 철근의 인장파단 영역에 있는 실험체 중에 주물 슬리브와 돌기가 있는 강관 슬리브를 사용한 실험체에서 SD400 철근을 사용한 경우는 98%, SD500 철근을 사용한 경우는 모든 실험체가 단조가력 시의 강성이 AIJ 규준의 A급 이상인 것으로 나타났고, 철근의 인장파단 영역에 있는 모든 실험체는 슬리브의 종류와 슬리브에 매입한 철근 종류에 관계없이 반복가력 시의 강성이 AIJ 규준의 A급 이상인 것으로 나타났다.

근해역 양광시험을 위한 HDPE Pipe의 구조특성 연구 (Analysis of Structural Characteristics of HDPE Pipe for Manganese Lifting Test)

  • The mining of imitated manganese noodles in 1000 m of seawater is planned for 2012. Thus, it is necessary to prepare the lifting pipes to be used for the test. Because of storage and expense constraints, flexible and economic HDPE pipe is being considered, making it necessary to test the structural safety. Material, pressure-chamber tests and finite element analysis of HDPE pipe for the 1000-m depth were performed. The tangential stiffness of HDPE was obtained through tension and three-point bending material tests and used for a structural analysis. FEA results show that the current sample pipe segment is safe for 1000 m of water pressure, and the stress result is also within the safe value. From the current results, the HDPE pipe seems to be acceptable only for the currently suggested constraints. However, more numerical and pressure tests need to be considered by applying additional physical conditions such as gravitational and hydrodynamic loads, external and internal fluid pressure, axial force induced ship motion, and heavy pump pressure to determine future usage.

  • The dynamic stability of elastically restrained cantilever pipe conveying fluid with crack is investigated in this paper. The pipe, which is fixed at one end, is assumed to rest on an intermediate spring support. Based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, the equation of motion is derived by the energy expressions using extended Hamilton's Principle. The crack section is represented by a local flexibility matrix connecting two undamaged pipe segments. The influence of a crack severity and position, mass ratio and the velocity of fluid flow on the stability of a cantilever pipe by the numerical method are studied. Also, the critical flow velocity for the flutter and divergence due to variation in the support location and the stiffness of the spring support is presented. The stability maps of the pipe system are obtained as a function of mass ratios and effect of crack.

  • 본 연구에서는 양단이 지지된 단순 모델을 사용하여, 양단 사이의 한 위치에 탄성지지를 할 때 고유진동수 변화를 검토하고 고유진동수를 높이는 방안을 제시하고 자 한다. 또한 분산변수계(distributed parameter system)을 사용하는 경우, 일반적 으로 홀수차항이 있는 미분방정식에서 그 해를 다항식, 고유벡터나 삼각함수의 무한개 의 합 등으로 표시하고 있으나 본 연구에서는 미분 방정식으로 표시하는 방법을 사용 하여 완전해(closed form solution)로 표시하여 구함으로서 오차를 제거하고 계산을 간결하게 하였다.

  • Dynamic response of buried pipelines both in the axial and the transverse directions on concrete pipe and steel pipe, FRP pipe were investigated through a free vibration analysis. End boundary conditions considered herein consist of free ends, fixed ends, and fixed-free ends in the axial and the transverse direction. Guided ends, simply supported ends, and supported-guided ends were added to the transverse direction. The buried pipeline was regarded as a beam on an elastic foundation and the ground displacement of sinusoidal wave was applied to it. Natural frequencies and mode shapes were determined according to end boundary conditions. In addition, the effects of parameters on the natural frequency were evaluated. The natural frequency is affected most significantly by the soil stiffness and the length of the buried pipelines. The natural frequency increases as the soil stiffness increases while it decreases as the length of the buried pipeline increases. Such behavior appears to be dominant in the axial direction rather than in the transverse direction of the buried pipelines.
