누설자속법을 이용한 배관내부 부식 평가 (Corrosion Assessment of In-pipe using Magnetic Flux Leakage Technique)

  • MFL(Magnetic Flux Leakage) methods are used extensively for inspection of ferromagnetic materials. As an example, pipelines that are buried underground are inspected using MFL methods. By the MFL methods, ferromagnetic pipelines are magnetized by a permanent magnet or an electromagnet and then flux leakage is detected at the defection position. In this paper, we perform modeling of the magnetized pipelines. Also we propose the method localization of th defected areas. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified experimentally.

Development of the Activity Type Smart Concrete using the Glass Pipe

  • A various structural materials are used in construction projects such as a stone, concrete, steel materials. Between of them, concrete are used widely. The compressive strength of concrete is high, and its maintenance and management is comparatively easy. The R.C Building will be superannuated as time passes. This program is generated by propagation of cracks. In order to manage such cracks, time and efforts, expense, etc. are required. In this study, glass sensors were embedding in a model beam and column and leakage of fluorescence and adhesive material was investigated. Further, currents in glass pipe were observed to find the leakage of liquid in glass pipes. Progressive cracks generated by cause the fracture of glass pipes. Therefore, the liquid become to flow and electric current stops, and the cracked part of the member can be found easily. Moreover, the adhesive delays progressive cracking system that responds in air, and the life of a structure can be made to extend. The purpose of this research is to develop of low price sensors that can perform of self-diagnosis in addition to ability of concrete repair concrete to damage.

LNG 재기화 공정에서 LNG 누출에 따른 화재 및 폭발사고의 피해영향 분석 (Analysis of the Impact of Fire and Explosion Accidents due to LNG Leaks in the LNG Re-gasification Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 LNG 공급계통시스템의 재기화 공정에서 배관 손상으로 인한 누출사고 발생시 LNG 성분 및 누출공의 크기에 따른 연소특성에 대한 피해범위를 산출하고, 피해영향을 해석하였다. LNG 성분에 따른 연소특성을 확인하기 위하여 7곳의 LNG 산지별 위험도를 확인한 결과 산지별 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으나, LNG 구성성분 중 메탄의 함유량이 많을수록 플래시화재 발생범위 및 증기운 폭발에 의한 과압이 발생하는 위험범위 그리고 제트화재 발생에 의한 열 복사량 피해영향이 다른 산지에 비해 비교적 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 배관 누출공의 크기에 따라 누설, 파공, 파괴 3단계에 나누어 위험 범위 및 폭발에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구를 수행하였으며, 플래시화재로 인한 피해영향범위를 계산하고, 이에 따라 LNG 누출시 화재가능 위험범위를 확인했으며, 과압의 영향 및 복사열로 부터의 피해범위를 예측할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 LNG 조성 및 배관 누출공의 크기가 화재 및 폭발에 미치는 영향을 예측할 수 있었다.

전자제어 장치를 이용한 용광로 냉각관 누수 지동 감지장치 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Automatic Sensing Device for Water Leakage of Cooling Pipe at Blast Furnace by Use The Electronic System)

  • 용광로는 외피 부분에 내부 내화물의 온도를 낮추기 위하여 냉각수를 공급하는 냉각판 또는 스테이브를 사용하고 있다. 주변 조업 조건의 열악으로 냉각수를 공급하는 배관의 부식으로 냉각수가 내화물에 침투하여 내화물의 수명을 떨어뜨리고, 노황을 악화시키는 원인이 되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 용광로 냉각설비장치에 이상 현상이 발생하였을 때 위치를 정확히 확인함에 따라 신속하게 누수된 부위를 파악하여 대처할 수 있는 기능을 갖춘 냉각관 누수 자동감지장치를 개발하였다. 주된 연구는 전자제어 장치인 마이크로프로세서를 응용한 전자변 제어장치를 이용하여 냉각설비의 파손으로 발생되는 누수현상으로 인한 고열과 분진 일산화탄소 등의 산출로 작업환경의 재해를 자동방지 하고자 하였으며, 작업환경이 친환경적이며 작업의 가치를 재창출할 수 있는 방법들이 연구되고 있다. 용광로 분위기의 일산화탄소 자동 감지장치와 그에 따른 출력신호를 자동 전송하는 무선중계기 장치를 개발함으로 용광로 냉각설비 장치의 분위기 작업환경을 수동방식에서 무인자동화방식으로 개선하였다.

상수관망에서 누수탐지를 위한 역추적계산법 (Back Tracing Calculation Method for the Leakage Detection in Water Distribution System)

  • In this study, Back Tracing Calculation Method was developed to determine the leakage location and leakage amount. Previously developed determination method of monitoring location and newly developed Back Tracing Calculation Method were applied to the sample pipe network and real size pilot plant. After leakage was assumed in the pilot plant, leakage location and leakage amount could be traced by Back Tracing Calculation Method. From the results, it was found that Back Tracing Calculation Method can be applied for the leakage detection in water distribution system. Furthermore, this method can be applied for the pressure management or leakage detection as a pressure control method in water distribution system.

PE 피복형 파형강관의 플랜지 이음부 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Flange Coupling Design of Polyethylene Corrugated Steel Pipe)

  • The concrete pipe(Hume, PC) and polyethylene(PE) pipe are usually used for dram pipe in local market. Hume pipe, however, is heavy and needs the high cost of construction and PC pipe has a disadvantage to easily occur the deformation by the outside pressure even though it is light and constructible. The corrugated steel pipe coated with polyethylene is used increasedly because it is durable, constructible and economical. However, it is not used for sewage or waste water because it is hard to guarantee the watertight property on the coupling part. In this study, we studied on the flange coupling and the method of its construction to guarantee the watertight property and easy to use. If the developed flange coupling and method are used on a construction field, the economical property, constructible property and structural safety can be guaranteed.

However, the small gap between the flange of the base plate and that of the pipe due to the head rise, the flow momentum change and the mis-installation makes leakage flow that may be a great loss to the pumping system. In this study, the performance degradation was predicted with the simple leakage flow model through the gap. The newly developed ADC was tested and the leakage performance was compared with the old one and also no-leakage piping system. The newly developed ADC reduced the leakage flow in a satisfactory way in comparison with the old model.

  • For traditional Leak-Before-Break(LBB) analyses, symmetric conditions were assumed for a pipe-nozzle interface to simplify the analysis in calculating J-integral. However. this assumption could result in an overly conservative design criteria for a pipe-nozzle interface, Since the pipe-nozzle interface is asymmetric due to the difference of stiffness between pipe and nozzle, it is required to develop a new methodology considering the nozzle effect. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the effect of nozzle no the development of LBB design criteria for nuclear pipings. For this purpose, extensive finite element analysis were performed to evaluate the effect of nozzle on Crack Opening Area(COA), Detectable Leakage Crack(DLC) length and J-integral values. In conclusion, it was proven that the application of LBB concept could be extended for more nuclear piping system by considering the nozzle.

누수탐지를 위한 천이류와 주착수분석 적용 연구 (Application of Transient and Frequency Analysis for Detecting Leakage of a Simple Pipeline)

  • 유체의 파속과 파형을 이용한 많은 누수탐지 기술들이 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 파속을 계산하기 위해 천이류 방법을 이용하였고 누수지점의 탐지를 위해 주파수 분석방법을 개발하였다. 가압관망의 자료획득 시스템을 개발하였으며, 이를 통해 고주파 수압자료를 획득하였다. 이들 방법론은 측정과 모의 과정에서 발생되는 오차로 인한 불화실성을 적절히 처리할 수 있으며, 수압자료의 측정간을 근거로 누수의 예측지점을 추정할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 개발된 방법은 수압자료로부터 확보되는 정보를 기반으로, 누수가 동반된 천이현상에서 누수예측능력을 보여주고 있다.
