This bio-acoustic study was aimed at classifying the different porcine wasting diseases through sound analysis with emphasis given to differences in the acoustic footprints of coughs in porcine circo virus type 2 (PCV2), porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) virus and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (MH) - infected pigs from a normal cough. A total of 36 pigs (Yorkshire${\times}$Landrace${\times}$Duroc) with average weight ranging between 25-30 kg were studied, and blood samples of the suspected infected pigs were collected and subjected to serological analysis to determine PCV2, PRRS and MH. Sounds emitted by coughing pigs were recorded individually for 30 minutes depending on cough attacks by a digital camcorder placed within a meter distance from the animal. Recorded signals were digitalized in a PC using the Cool Edit Program, classified through labeling method, and analyzed by one-way analysis of variance and discriminant analysis. Input features after classification showed that normal cough had the highest pitch level compared to other infectious diseases (p<0.002) but not statistically different from PRRS and MH. PCV2 differed statistically (p<0.002) from the normal cough and PRRS but not from MH. MH had the highest intensity and all coughs differed statistically from each other (p<0.0001). PCV2 was statistically different from others (p<0.0001) in formants 1, 2, 3 and 4. There was no statistical difference in duration between different porcine diseases and the normal cough (p>0.6863). Mechanisms of cough sound creation in the airway could be used to explain these observed acoustic differences and these findings indicated that the existence of acoustically different cough patterns depend on causes or the animals' respiratory system conditions. Conclusively, differences in the status of lungs results in different cough sounds. Finally, this study could be useful in supporting an early detection method based on the on-line cough counter algorithm for the initial diagnosis of sick animals in breeding farms.

In order to study the effects of Yunpaejaesueum known clinically for their effects of treatment for cough and asthma, the study was carried out to investigate the effect of Yunpaejaesueum extract on the contractile force of the isolated guinea pig trachea smooth muscle and elucidate its mechanism. The results were obtained as follows: 1. The isolated trachea smooth muscle of guinea pig was suspended in the organ bath with oxygenated Kreb's Henseleite bicarbonate buffer solution at $37^{\circ}C$, and the developed tension by the drug was recorded with isometric transducer(Nacro F-60). The resting tension was approximately 0.5g. 2. The isolated trachea smooth muscle of guinea pig was remakably relaxed by the administration of Yunpaejaesueum. 3. Yunpaejaesueum is significantly inhibited the contractile response of histimine 10-4 M in isolated guinea pig trachea smooth muscle. 4. Yunpaejaesueum is significantly inhibited the contractile response of acetylcholine 10-4 M in isolated guinea pig trachea smooth muscle. 5. Yunpaejaesueum is significantly inhibited the contractile response of 5-hydroxytryptamine 10-4 M in isolated guinea pig trachea smooth muscle. 6. Yunpaejaesueum is significantly inhibited the contractile response of prostaglandin F2a 10-7 M in isolated guinea pig trachea smooth muscle.

The contractile response of the trachea smooth muscle of the isolated guinea pig to 5-hydroxytryptamine 10-4 M was remakably by Goosunsan. 8. The contractile response of the ileum smooth muscle of the isolated guinea pig to 5-hydroxytryptamine 10-4 M was remakably by Goosunsan.

In order to study the effects of HWA GAE SAN known clinically for their effects of treatment for cough and asthma, the study was carried out to investigate the effect of HWA GAE SAN extract on the contractile force of isolated guinea pig trachea smooth muscle and elucidate its mechanism. The results were obtained as follows. 1. Preparation of isolated guinea pig trachea smooth muscle was suspended in the oxygeneted Kreb's Henseleit bicarbonate buffer solution at $37^{\circ}C$ and recorded the developed tension by the drug with the isometric transducer (Nacro F-60). The restin tension was approximately 0.5g. 2. The trachea smooth muscle in normal state showed a significant atony to the increase of density of HWA GAE SAN. 3. The atonic effect of the trachea smooth muscle was restricted after prescription of Pyrilamine& Cyproheptadine. Hireceptor broker, which were prearranged. 4. After 5, 15, 50& $150{\mu}l/ml$ of HWA GAE SAN were prescribed, the atony of trachea smooth muscle was caused by Histamine. 5. After 50& $150{\mu}l/ml$ of HWA GAE SAN were prescribed, the atony of trachea smooth muscle was remarkably dwindled which was caused by Acetylcholine. 6. After $150{\mu}l/ml$ of HWA GAE SAN were prescribed, the atony of trachea smooth muscle was remarkably dwindled which was caused by 5-Hydroxytryptamine.

Objectives : This study first acknowledges that cough, which is a light symptom, can act as a link that leads to more serious disease. With this acknowledgement, the study ponders upon how the people of the past, before the introduction of western medicine, attempted to cure the first sign of cough and how to stop it from developing. Methods : China's Eumsunjungyo and Sikgamboncho, and Chosun's Singnyochanyo and Donguibogam are used mainly to analyze the food cure that were used in relation to sea water, and to discover what types of ingredients and preparation forms were used, how they were taken, what types of food cure there were, and how they were used. Results : There was no ingredient used commonly in all of the four literatures. Eumsunjungyo utilized ingredients related to lamb. Singnyochanyo and Donguibogam were both used in Chosun, but some similarities with the Chinese literatures were discovered in terms of food cure since they were put together with their Chinese counterparts as references. Ingredients that were used commonly in two or more of the literatures were ginger, taoren, xingren, honey, pear, liyu, and pig lung. Conclusions : Some staple folk remedies that later becamce cultural cuisines included drinking the water from boiling pear and honey and boiling and eating pears with peppers stuck in them. The eating of ginger together with korean traditional taffy have taken its own form and became saenggang jeonggwa and pyeongang. The oriental food cure method has been continuing among the folk people in the form of traditional food with the food philosophy of edible homologous as its basis.

Salmonella enterica serotype Choleraesuis causes swine paratyphoid, with clinical findings of enterocolitis and septicemia. However, the clinicopathological features of S. Choleraesuis infections in pigs have not been reported in Korea. We describe the pathological findings of two weaned pigs with S. Choleraesuis infections, presenting with diarrhea, cough, and sudden death. Pathological examination indicated severe necrotic colitis in pig 1 and septicemic lesions in pig 2. Multidrug-resistant S. Choleraesuis was isolated from the pigs' lungs and intestinal contents. Further research is required for the surveillance of S. Choleraesuis infections in pigs and the virulence estimation in the S. Choleraesuis isolates.

Also it followed in condition and the honey little quantity alcoholic beverage it put in and with the urine it drinks it did. The case which the skin bursts Injury by biting. The eye comes to be red and smart in consequence of the fact that it swells, it pastes the warm urine in the wound region. In consequence of the fact that beriberi disease or to the case which is fed up the finger, it soaks the wound region in the urine. It was used in the external medical therapy which is various even on the thing outside which it drinks. It does not use or must use very prudently to person who has deficiency of gi and blood, weak stomach, not heat and fake heat.
