세균성 Virus f2에 대한 Ozone의 불활성작용 (Action of Ozone on Bacterial Virus f2)

  • Bacterial virus f2 and its RNA were examined to elucidate the mode of ozone utilizing sucrose density gradient analysis and electtron microscopic techniques. the inactivation kinetics of the virus f2 by ozonation showed that the viruses were inactivated during the first 5 sec of the reaction and were further inactivated at a slower rate during the next 10 min at 0.09 and 0.8mg/l ozone concentrations. The virus coat was broken by ozonation into many pieces of protein subunits and the adsorption of the viruses to the host pili was inversely related to the extent of the breakage of the virus. The viral RNA was released from the virus particles during ozone, but ozone inactivation of the RNA enclosed in the protein coat could not ruled out the possibility that the RNA was secondarily sheared by a reaction with the broken coat protein.

  • 대구 욱수동·경산 옥산동 유적 발굴조사에서 삼국시대 토기가마 38기가 확인되었으며 이중 8기의 토기가마에서 수습된 목탄 9점에 대한 수종을 조사하였다. 분석결과 소나무가 4점, 상수리나무류가 3점, 굴피나무가 1점 조사되었으며 1점은 일부의 잔존 목질부가 대부분의 점토질과 함께 엉켜있어 수종분석이 불가능하였다.

  • The purposes of this study are to identify the formative characteristics and the form of color expression by studying Henri Matisse's works. Also, this study is meaningful in that it took art make-up illustration as an original area by incorporating the artistic value of Henri Matisse's works on art make-up illustration. The research was carried out by analyzing the paintings of Matisse focusing on previous theses and related books. Four pieces were produced from the motive earned from the figurative features and color. The results of this study can be summarized as follows : 1) Since Henri Matisse's works used strong original colors such as R/V, G/V, B/V, and Y/V, it was possible to create powerful art make-up illustration through the contrast of complementary colors. 2) Creative and artistic illustration could be produced by developing and reorganizing designs with the utilization of his works.

플럭스처리에 의한 벌크비정질합금 스크랩의 비정질형성능 (Glass Forming Ability of Bulk Amorphous Alloy Scrap by Fluxing)

  • When the returned scrap of bulk amorphous alloy is remelted, impurities such as oxides and intermetallic compounds increase. Glass forming ability of its scrap is deteriorated remarkably. Melt fluxing technique is introduced to enhance the glass forming ability during melting and freezing of bulk amorphous alloys. Cu and Zr based alloys are chosen. Small pieces of these alloy scraps and $B_2O_3$ flux are put together in a quartz tube. Cyclic heating and cooling are done by induction heating and water quenching or air cooling. Melting fluxing was effective for both Cu-based and Zr-based alloy, and their glass forming abilities were improved with increasing the number of fluxing.

  • The warehousing of inventories is an enormous expense to industries worldwide, and yet there are few available that can be used to design rack storage systems while considering overall system costs. The primary objective of this paper is the development of an overall ware hous storage system costs model to aid a warehous planner in the design of automated warehouse systems. A simulation model and statistical estimation procedures are used to determine the maximum inventory levels accumulated in the receiving, storage, and shipping areas. The overall cost model is developed to determine the required total land, the initial investment fund, the number of pieces of handling equipment, and the storage rack configuration for the main storage area. A numerical example is then presented to demonstrate the application of the overall system cost model developed in this paper.

하이드로포밍 공정 전후의 인장 및 피로 물성 변화 (The Variations of Tensile and Fatigue Properties in the Hydroforming Process)

  • Hydroforming is a cost-effective way of shaping malleable metals such as steel into lightweight, structurally stiff and strong pieces. With the increased use of the hydroformed components in automotive and aerospace industries, it is important to know the variations of the mechanical properties in the hydroforming process far the safe and durable design purposes. The principal goal of this paper is to suggest a procedure to evaluate the variations of tensile and fatigue properties before and after a hydroforming process. A miniature specimen, which is 0.2 mm thick and 2.3 mm wide, is devised and tested to measure local mechanical properties. The effects of specimen size, defects, surface roughness, and hydroforming on the tensile and fatigue behaviors are discussed.

  • Metalworking fluids (MWFs) are fluids used during machining and grinding to prolong the life of the tool, carry away debris, and protect the surfaces of work pieces. These fluids reduce friction between the cutting tool and the work surface, reduce wear and galling, protect surface characteristics, reduce surface adhesion or welding and carry away generated heat. Workers can be exposed to MWFs by inhaling aerosols (mists) and by skin contact with the fluid. Skin contact occurs by dipping the hands into the fluid, splashes, or handling workpieces coated with the fluids. The amount of mist generated (and the resulting level of exposure) depends on many factors. To reduce the environmental pollution wastes and the potential health risks associated with occupational exposures to MWFs, it is required to establish optimum MWFs supply method and condition with minimum quantity in all over the mechanical machining field including high-speed type heavy cutting process.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the various characteristics of the 53-years old railway tunnel linning concrete. The nondestructive technique such as the surface hardness method and the ultrasonic method, the extent of carbonation by the phenolphthalein indicator, and the chemical analysis due to XRD/XRF are considered Also the concrete core was cut in two pieces per tunnel for the exact evaluation of strength. On the basis of the experimental result, it is concluded that the durability and the serviceability of old tunnel linning concrete are affected by the initial mixing condition and the environmental effect.

세그멘탈 합성보의 휨 실험 (Flexural Tests on Post-Tensioned Segmental Composite Beam)

  • The interior portion of Gerber's beam are constructed with post-tensioned segmental composite beams in this study. A precast concrete member which is larger than the limits of domestic transportation regulation in weight, length, and volume is divided into three parts, transported separately, and erected with a composite member by post-tensioning in site. Static flexural loading tests are performed on Gerber's type frames which are consisted with 2.5m overhangs and 5m interior beams composited from three pieces. The connection of overhang to interior composite beam and beam to beam, and flexural performance of interior portion of Gerber's beam are examined thoroughly. All of the tests are ended with a compression failure of the interior composite beams over the design strength of homogeneous beams. The brittle connection failures or tensile failures with the failure of lower strand was not observed in any test frames.

New Secret Sharing Scheme for Privacy Data Management

  • In ubiquitous environment, private enterprise or public institution's privacy data are sometimes exposed to hackers because of the lack of the sense of information security. We apply secret sharing scheme to solve the privacy problems. But, the existing secret sharing scheme are not suitable for the management of large a quantity of data because that required operation of large capacity. In this paper, We propose new secret sharing scheme for privacy data management. Our scheme makes high-speed operation possible, and it also allows for set weight for each secret pieces depending on weight of participants. The scheme proposed in this paper makes it efficient to collect and manage secure privacy data in ubiquitous environment.
