  • The purpose of this study was to develop a checklist of risk factors for quantitative assessment of musculoskeletal complaints in shipbuilding workers. A key point was to develop comprehensive a checklist including the worker's physical ability, as ergonomic and workload factors. ln the first, through correlation analysis between musculoskeletal complaints and physical abilities in shipbuilding workers, risk factors related to physical abilities were selected. In the second, after the development of a checklist was composed of physical, ergonomic and workload factors, factor analysis was used to test the validity of the developed checklist. Each factors selected finally showed that physical factors were hand grip strength, spinal curvature, and flexibility (sit to reach), ergonomic factors were posture, total exposed time, duration, and force of working, and workload factors were physical and psychological workload perceived by worker. The results showed that musculoskeletal complaints was associated with physical abilities (p<.05). The developed checklist had a reliability of .761 (Cronbach=.761) and a validity and explanation of 54.9%. The criterion of management was classified in 4 stages by relative weights of each factor. It is suggested that active intervention is needed to reduce musculoskeletal complaints in workers with more than a 14.31 score.

  • This study has evaluated the visual preference factor of Keum river sceneries which could vary according to the change of water level while other scenic environment near by the river did not change. 1) At Gap Cheon site, the variances of the visual preferences for river scenery at different water level are determined as emotional, physical, aesthetic and individual factor. At Mujoo site, the variances of the visual preferences are determined as only two factors such as emotional and physical factors. Those factors show significant relations. All of the visual preferences are increased as the increase of preference factors. Also decreasing of preference factors result in decreasing of visual preferences. 2) In multiple regression model, both the Gap cheon site and Mujoo site show that the increase of emotional factor affect most to visual preference when other conditions are fixed. The physical factor affect less than the emotional factor. At Gap cheon site, the relative importance level which the preference factors contribute to the visual preference appears as the order of emotional, physical, aesthetic and individual factor. Emotional factor's importance level is 4.2 times greater than individual factor. At Mujoo site, the relative importance level which the preference factors contribute to the visual preference appears as the order of emotional and physical factor. The emotional factor's importance level is 1.1 times greater than physical factor. It is clearly indicate that the emotional factor is most important preference factor in both study sites. The factor analysis results of Keum river scenery at different water level using the visual evaluation method affect a lot to the quantification of river instream flow and water level.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to present practice guidelines on what physical therapy students must learn during clinical training and how to evaluate them. Design: Design & development research Methods: A Delphi survey was conducted with 16 experts. Experts who participated in the study were asked to respond to 15 musculoskeletal system, 14 nervous system, and 12 physical factor therapy items through an online survey with a 5-point Likert score for each item regarding suitability and importance. Results: As a result of defining the core basic physical therapy skills that students in the Department of Physical Therapy must learn through clinical practice and in the process of evaluating them, there was a strong opinion that among the specific fields of physical therapy, evaluation items related to the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, and cardiorespiratory system were important. On the contrary, physical factor therapy showed poor results. Conclusions: In a previous study, opinions on the specialty of physical therapists were collected from current physical therapists, and the field of physical factor therapy was evaluated low. I think this reflects the perception that treatment using electricity has been commonly used in the field of physical therapy for a long time and does not require deep expertise among clinicians. Physical therapy clinical practice guidelines and efficient operation plans for clinical practice were presented. Through this, it can be usefully applied in hospitals where physical therapy students undergo clinical training in the future.

  • To make provision for the super-aged society, the senior welfare facility which is a kind of typical physical environment of the nursing service would be expected to perform a very important role in local community. This study was conducted to identify the constructs of the servicescapes of senior welfare facility and to draw analysis indicators of it. For this, we performed literature review based on domestic & foreign government guide, service marketing theory and interior architectural results concerning the physical environment of the senior welfare facility. The result of this study showed as follows: servicescapes of the senior welfare facility could be explained as "a whole set of physical environment to support a variety of services provided by the senior welfare facility for the elderly or services of the kind of tangible clues". Analysis indicators of the senior welfare facility's servicescape could be explained as five factors: safety factor, functional factor, aesthetic factor, ambient factor and social factor. In addition we developed 37 pieces of detailed factors referred to five factors. The evaluation and verification of analysis indicators was carried out through 8 experts in-depth interviews. We inspected importance factor using a 5-point Likert scale, therefore safety factor was 4.41, functional factor was 4.27, aesthetic factor was 3.66, ambient factor was 4.20 and social factor was 4.25. More than anything else, in this study, there is a sense that it has established the concept of servicescape adapted to the senior welfare facility and contained a social element between the employees and the physical environment. Theoretical and practical implications of findings are discussed, and future research directions are proposed. we expect to be a little or benefits to the senior welfare facility corresponding to the future of the super-aged society.
