수중운동 프로그램이 노인의 체력, 신체구성 및 삶의 질에 미치는 효과 (Effects of an Aquatic Exercise Program on Physical Fitness, Body Composition and Quality of Life in Elderly Women)

  • Purpose: The study examined the effects of an aquatic exercise program on physical fitness, body composition and quality of life in 25 elderly women. Methods: Subjects participated in an 8-week aquatic exercise program. Sessions ran three times weekly for 60 min. The 60 min consisted of a 10-min warm-up, 40-min exercise and 10-min cool-down. Change of physical fitness, body composition and quality of life were measured and statistically analyzed before and after the aquatic exercise program. Results: Flexibility was significantly increased (p=.000), body fat rate was significantly decreased (p=.041), body mass index was significantly decreased (p=.003), and abdominal fat rate was significantly decreased (p=.025). Conclusions: Aquatic exercise has health benefits for elderly women.

사관생도들의 혈액성분 및 신체조성 변화 연구 (Studies on Changes of Blood Components and Body Composition in the Cadets)

  • This study investigated physical and physiological changes of normal young adults, who are cadets of the Air Force Academy, have kept long-term physical activities and healthy behavior. The physical and physiological indices were the blood and body composition. Data were collected at the first year period, and then 4th year period from same group of cadets. The amounts of blood components were not changed, but variation among cadets was significantly reduced in the 4th grade period. The red blood cells(RBCs) were significantly reduced and the concentration of hemoglobin(HGB) were significantly increased. The body weight was significantly decreased in the 1st grade period since the body fat was rapidly decreased after the basic military drill, and then it was recovered with building up of the skeletal muscle in the 4th grade period. Asymmetry of the arms was decreased with the increased physical activities and usage of various equipments. The muscular endurance were significantly enhanced in the 4th grade period. The long-term physical activities and healthy behaviors may keep the physical strength through enhanced blood stream and oxygen supply by reduction of the RBCs and increased HGB concentration, and fat and muscle control.

청소년의 FTO유전자 다형에 따른 3년간 신체구성과 체력의 변화 (Three Years Follow-up Study for Changes in Body Composition and Physical Fitness by FTO Gene Polymorphism of Male Adolescence)

  • Purpose : To identify changes and relationships in the fat mass and obesity associated (FTO) gene polymorphism, body composition, and physical fitness from childhood to adolescence over a three-year period spanning elementary school to middle school (2015-2018) Methods : A total of 84 male student participants were divided into two groups based on FTO genotype: aa+at (group A) and tt (group T) and tracked down. Body composition, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, muscle strength, power, and other characteristics were measured in the two groups in both 2015 and 2018, respectively, and the changes over the three-year period were analyzed and compared. Results : Increases in height and weight did not differ significantly between the two groups, but body mass index (BMI) was significantly higher in group A (p=.035). With regard to physical fitness, there was no significant difference in flexibility, but cardiovascular endurance, strength, and power were significantly higher in group T (p<.001, p=.063, and p=.040, respectively). Conclusion : Group A is more likely to become obese than group T because of their lower level of physical fitness and increased BMI relative to group T. This result supports previous studies showing that group A has a relatively low level of physical activity and a greater tendency to eat fatty foods as compared with group T. Therefore, we suggest that the FTO gene polymorphism should be identified early and that students educated on diet and physical activity to help prevent adult obesity.

8주간의 복합운동프로그램이 초등학생의 신장, 체성분, 체력에 미치는 효과 (Effect of 8 Weeks Complex Exercise Program on The Height, Body Composition, Physical Fitness in Elementary School Children)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 8주간 복합운동프로그램이 초등학생의 신장, 체성분, 체력에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 실시하였다. 연구방법 : 경기도에 소재한 성남종합사회복지관의 복합운동프로그램에 지원한 남녀 초등 3 ~ 6학년 학생 11명(남자=6명, 여자=5명)을 대상자로 선정하여 8주 동안 주 2회 50분씩 복합운동프로그램(국민체조, 특허스트레칭, 음악 줄넘기, 탄력밴드운동, 마무리운동)을 적용하였다. 운동 전 후의 신장, 체성분을 알아보기 위하여 Inbody 520, 체력의 변화를 알아보기 위하여 Primus RS, Commander Power Track II, 윗몸일으키기, 체전굴을 사용하여 측정하였으며, 8주 후 재측정을 실시하였다. 결과 : 8주간 복합운동프로그램 적용 후 대상자는 실험 전보다 실험 후 신장, 체성분, 하지근력, 근지구력의 측정값은 유의한 차이를 보였다. 그러나 상지근력과 유연성은 향상되었지만 유의한 차이는 없었다. 결론 : 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 초등학생의 키성장, 체성분과 체력 향상에 복합운동프로그램이 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 연구에서 대조군과 다양한 환경적 요인들을 고려한다면 보다 나은 객관적인 결과를 얻을 것으로 생각된다.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of a 12-week combined exercise training program on the body composition, physical fitness levels, and metabolic syndrome profiles of obese women. Methods: Twelve obese women were assigned to the combined exercise training program group. The women underwent training for 70-90 min/d, three times per week for a period of 12 weeks. Paired samples t-tests were performed using SPSS ver. 17.0 for analysis of the results. Results: The results of this study showed that body-composition parameters such as weight, fat-free mass, body fat mass, body-mass index, body fat, waist-hip ratio, basal metabolic rate, and intra-abdominal fat, physical fitness parameters such as muscle strength, muscle endurance, flexibility, and cardiac endurance, and metabolic syndrome biomarkers such as triglyceride levels, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels, glucose levels, systolic blood pressure, and waist circumference before participation the training program differed significantly from those after participation in the training program (p<0.05). However, diastolic blood pressure before participation in the training program did not differ significantly from that after participation in the training program (p>0.05). Conclusion: We concluded that a 12-week combined exercise training program could be a good exercise program for improvement of the body composition, physical fitness levels, and metabolic syndrome profiles of obese women.

건강증진프로그램이 아이돌보미 여성의 건강행위에 대한 인지, 체력 및 신체조성에 미치는 효과 (Effects of a Health Promotion Program on Perception of Health Behavior, Physical Fitness and Body Composition in Child Care Helpers)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted in order to determine the effects of a health promotion program on perception of health behavior, physical fitness, and body composition in child care helpers. Methods: The study had a one group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design. Data were collected from 38 child care helpers from July 6 to November 9, 2013. The health promotion program consisted of health education, self-exercise, encouragement, and identification. The following data were collected perception(perceived benefit, barrier, and self-efficacy), physical fitness(balance, grasp power, and flexibility), and body composition(body mass index, body fat ratio, waist circumference, and basal metabolic rate) and analysis was performed using on SPSS WIN 18.0. Results: Self-efficacy showed a significant increased. Body mass index, body fat ratio, and waist circumference showed a significant decreased. No significant difference in perceived benefit, barrier, physical fitness, and basal metabolic rate was observed between pre-test and post-test. Conclusion: This health promotion program had an effect on self-efficacy and body composition in child care helpers. Therefore, this health promotion program for child care helpers can be recommended as an effective nursing intervention.

저항성 운동이 여성 노인의 신체조성, 체력, 혈중지질 및 인슐린에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Resistance Exercise on Body Composition Physical Strength, Blood Lipids and Insulin in Elderly Women)

  • Purpose : This study aimed to investigate the effects of 12 weeks of resistance exercise on body composition, physical strength, blood lipids, and insulin. Methods : The study was conducted on 24 elderly women divided into two groups: 12 subjects in an exercise group and 12 subjects in a control group. Resistance exercise was performed for 50 minutes a day, three times a week, for the duration of 12 weeks, and body composition, physical strength, blood lipids, and insulin were measured before and after the subjects completed the program. For the statistical analysis, the mean and standard deviation (M±SD) of each variable were calculated using SPSS version 20, and a paired t-test and two-way repeated ANOVA were conducted to test for the differences before and after the resistance exercise. All significant levels were set to α=.05 as a result of the experiment. Results : Changes in body composition after the 12-week resistance exercise program did not show any significant difference based on the comparison between the groups, but when noting the values for body fat percentage and body in the control group before and after, a significant difference was shown in fat mass (p<.05). As for changes in physical fitness, significant differences appeared in flexibility, muscle strength, and stenotic force (p<.01) when the groups were compared. Regarding pre- and post-values within each group concerning flexibility within the exercise group, significant differences were shown in gender (p<.001), muscle strength (p<.05), (p<.01), muscle earth strength, equilibrium (p<.01), stenosis force, and cardiopulmonary earth force (p<.001). Also, comparisons between populations in changes in blood lipids the values before and after in each group, significant differences in glucose (p<.05) and insulin (p<.05) were shown in the exercise group. When comparing the values before and after in each population, a significant difference was shown in the control group (p<.05). Conclusion : When all the results were integrated, the 12-week resistance exercise program was found to enhance physical strength (flexibility, muscle strength, and coordination) and improve the blood sugar levels of elderly women. In particular, resistance exercise is believed to lower the prevalence of obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and metabolic diseases by having a positive effect on insulin. Further studies are suggested to verify the effect on body composition and blood lipids by setting up a variety of exercise treatment methods (including subjects, exercise periods, exercise plans, and exercise intensity focuses).

남.여 노인의 신체조성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Body Composition of the Male Elderly and Female Elderly)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference of body composition between male elder and female elder. This study consisted of elder male(n=48) and elder female(n=90). The average age of elder male and female was 73.81, 71.38 years. The data were analyzed with t-test, using SPSS PC+ program. Body composition was measured using Inbody 2.0(seoul, korea) of segmental multi-frequn-cy impedance analyzer technique. The result of this study were the following: 1. The difference of Body composition 1) The muscle mass(kg) of elder male was significantly(P<.00) higher than elder female by 8.30kg. 2) The %fat of elder female was significantly(P<.00) higher than elder male by 8.65%. 3) The WHR(%) elder female was no significantly higher than elder male by 0.01%. 4) The free fat mass(kg) of elder male was significantly(P<.00) higher than elder female by 8.67kg. 5) The TBW(l) of elder male was significantly(P<.00) higher than elder female by 6.081 The factor of significant difference of between elder male and female was muscle mass(kg), %fat, free fat mass(kg), total body water(l).

연령에 따른 노인의 신체조성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Body Composition of the Elderly according to the Age)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference of body composition of the elderly according to the age. This study consisted of elder male(n=48) and elder female(n=58). The average age of male elder and female elder was 73.81, 73.05 years. The data were analyzed with t-test, using SPSSWIN 10.1 program. Body composition was measured using Inbody 3.0(seoul, korea) of segmental multifrequency impedance analyzer technique. The result of this study were the following : 1. The difference of body composition according to the age 1) The MV(Muscle Volume)of male elder was significant difference among group(p<.05). The MV of female elder was very significant difference among group(p<.01). 2) The %FAT of male elder and female elder was no significant difference among group. 3) The FFM(Free Fat Mass)of male elder was significant difference among group(p<.05). The FFM of female elder was very significant difference among group(p<.01). 4) The TBW(Total Body Water)of male elder was significant difference among group(p<.05) The TBW of female elder was very significant difference among group(p<.01). 5) The WHR(Waist to Hip Ratio)of male elder was significant difference among group(p<.05). The WHR of female elder was very significant difference among group(p<.01).

로얄 아카데미 발레댄스 프로그램 수행이 여자 대학생의 신체조성, 체력 및 골밀도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Ballet Program Training of Royal Academy of Dance on Body Composition, Physical Fitness and Bone Mineral Density in College Women)

  • 본 연구는 운동을 하지 않은 20대 초반 여대생을 대상으로 발레운동이 신체조성, 체력 및 골밀도에 미치는 효과를 분석하기 위하여 실험군과 대조군으로 나누어 RAD 발레 프로그램을 12주간 수행한 결과 신체조성에서는 TBF, LBM, %fat가, 체력에서는 AMS, sit-ups, SLJ, 1,200 m R &, W가, 골밀도에서는 GT, WT가 집단 간에 차이가 있었고, 신체부위별 골밀도 분포현황에서 골감소증이 실험군에서 변화가 없었으나, 대조군에서는 GT와 WT에서 3명의 증가를 보였다. 신체조성, 체력 및 골밀도간의 상관관계에서는 체중, TBF, LBM, %fat, BMI, AMS가 높은 정적인 상관을 보였으며, 부위별 골밀도의 상관 관계에서는 요추 골밀도, 대퇴경부, 전체 골밀도에서 높은 정적인 상관을 나타냈다. 이상의 결과를 통하여 RAD 발레프로그램이 신체조성, 체력 및 골밀도에 대한 예방 및 개선에 긍정적인 효과를 미치는 것으로 사료된다. 추후 골밀도를 결정하는 주요 인자로 나이, 체질량지수, 흡연, 운동, 영양소섭취량 이외에도 보다 큰 비중을 차지하는 유전적 소인이 있으므로 이러한 소인을 제시할 수 있는 연구가 더 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각되며, 점차 젊은층으로 확대되는 골감소증 현상에 주목하여, 체계적인 연구가 필요하다.
