Anorthite 글라스 프릿이 첨가된 감광성 은 페이스트의 전기적 특성 및 부착력 특성 평가 (Effect of Anorthite Glass Frit on the Electrical and Adhesion Properties of Photosensitive Silver Paste)

  • 후막 광식각 기술을 이용하여 형성된 Ag 전극과 LTCC 기판 사이의 접착력을 향상시키기 위하여 무기 바인더로서 anorthite, diopside 및 MLS-62 glass frit을 첨가하여 감광성 Ag paste를 제조하였다. 소성 후의 glass pool effect를 감소시키기 위해 attrition mill을 통하여 미세 glass 분말을 준비하였다. Glass frit은 Ag powder의 5vol%~25vol%의 함량으로 첨가하여 감광성 Ag paste를 제조하였고 패턴 형성 후 $850^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 소결하였다. 전극과 기판 사이의 접착력은 micro-ball shear test 법으로 측정하였으며, Ag 전극 부착력은 glass frit의 함량 증가에 따라 증가하다가 감소하는 경향을 보이는데, 이는 과량의 glass frit 첨가로 인한 전극 내부에 액상 풀의 형성에 기인한 것으로 보여진다. Ag 전극의 면저항은 glass frit의 함량이 증가함에 따라 $0.13m{\Omega}{/\square}$에서 $2.06m{\Omega}{/\square}$까지 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 소성 전후의 전극 패턴의-수축율은 $100{\mu}m$의 선폭을 기준으로 glass frit의 첨가랑이 증가할수록 43.3%에서 35.0%로 감소하였으며, 그 결과 최소 선폭 $25{\mu}m$의 미세 전극 패턴의 형성이 가능하였다.

  • Photo-imageable thick-film lithography technology was developed for the fabrication of embedded passives such as inductors and capacitors. In this study, photo-imageable dielectric and conductor pastes have apoted a negative type. Sodalime glass wafer, alumina substrate and zero-shrinkage LTCC green tapes were used as substrates. In result, The lithographic patterns were designed as lines and spaces for conductor material, or via-holes for ceramic, LTCC, materials. The scattering and reflection of UV-beam on the substrate had negative effects on fine patterning. The patterning performance was varied with the exposing and developing process conditions, and also varied with the substrate materials. Fine resolution of less then $50/50{\mu}m$ in line and space was obtained, which is difficult in screen printing method.

삼극형 CNT 전자원에 대한 신뢰성 평가 (The Reliability Evaluation about the Triode-Type CNT Emission Source)

  • 삼극형(triode type) 전자 방출원을 프린팅된 CNT(Carbon Nanotube) 에미터를 이용하여 제작하였다. 후면노광(Back Exposure)방법으로 CNT 에미터의 높이를 균일하게 하고, 나노 Ag를 첨가하여 CNT와 전극 사이의 접착력 및 전기전도성을 높임으로써 고전압, 고전류 구동 시 신뢰성을 확보하였다. 게이트 높이가 에미터 길이에 비해 비교적 높은 매크로 게이트 구조를 사용하여 누설 전류가 적고 안정적인 구동이 가능하였다. 제작된 삼극형 전자 방출원은 DC 전압이 인가된 상태에서 일정시간동안 전계방출 전류를 측정하여 신뢰성을 평가하였다. 가열 배기 에이징(Aging) 과정을 거친 경우 약 12 시간동안 안정적인 전계방출 특성을 보였다. 이 때 게이트 누설전류는 약 10 % 미만이었다.

  • Plasma Display Panel(PDP) is a type of flat panel display utilizing the light emission produced by gas discharge. Barrier Ribs of PDP separating each sub-pixel prevents optical and electrical crosstalks from adjacent sub-pixels. The mold for forming the barrier ribs has been newly researched to overcome the disadvantages of conventional manufacturing processes such as screen printing, sand-blasting and photosensitive glass methods. The mold for PDP barrier ribs have stripes of micro grooves transferring glass-material wall. In this paper, Stripes of grooves of which width 48${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, depth 124$\mu\textrm{m}$ , pitch 274$\mu\textrm{m}$ was acquired by machining of single crystal silicon with dicing saw blade. Maximum roughness of the bottom of the grooves was 59.6nm Ra in grooving Si. Barrier ribs were formed with silicone rubber mold, which is transferred from grooved Si forming hard mold. Silicone rubber mold has the elasticity, which enable to accommodate the waveness of lower glass plate of PDP. The methods assisted by the microwave and UV was adopted for reducing the forming time of glass paste.

Mold for PDP barrier ribs have stripes of micro grooves transferring stripes of glass-material wall. In this paper. Stripes of grooves of which width 48 um, depth 124um, pitch 274um was acquired by machining the material of WC with dicing saw blade. Maximum roughness of the bottom and sidewall of the grooves was respectively 120 nm, 287 nm. Maximum tilt angle caused by difference between upper-most width and lower-most width was 2$^{\circ}$. Maximum Radius of curvature of bottom was 7.75 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. This results meets the specification for barrier ribs of 50 inch XGA PDP. Forming the glass paste will be followed by using mold in the near future.

  • LTCC 후막공정에서 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 스크린 프린팅 방법은 낮은 정밀도와 100um 이하의 선폭을 구현하는 데 한계를 보이고 있다. 이에 따라서 보다 미세한 라인을 형성 할 수 있는 반도체 미세라인 공정기술을 후막 공정에 응용한 후막 리소그라피 기술 (thick-film lithography technology)이 전자부품의 소형화에 대한 방안으로 연구 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 후막 리소그라피 기술에 사용되는 감광성 Silver 페이스트에 영향을 미치는 각기 다른 크기와 형상의 Silver 파우더들과 인쇄 후 표면의 roughness 개선을 위한 여러 종류의 첨가제들을 첨가하여 최적의 조성을 연구 하였으며, 그린시트와 페이스트의 매칭성을 해결하기 위해서 Tg가 다른 글라스 파우더를 첨가하였다. 또한 전면 인쇄 한 후에 건조, 노광, 현상, 적층, 소성 과정을 걸치는 후막 리소그라피 기술을 이용하여 소성 후 20um이하의 선폭을 가지는 내장형 패턴 구현하였으며 투과엑스레이와 O/S 테스트 통하여 우수한 특성을 확인 할 수 있었다.

급조 폭발물(IED) 제거 로봇의 개발비용 분석 및 카본나노튜브 기반 탐지센서기술에 관한 연구 (Analysis of the Robot for Detection of Improvised Explosive Devices and a Technology for the CNT based Detection Sensor)

  • In this study, two aspects were analyzed about the robot for removal of explosive devices. First, the cost analyses were performed to provide a reasonable solution for the acquirement of the system. It is processed by an engineering estimate method and the process was consisted of two ways : a system development expense and a mass production unit price. In additions, the resultant cost analyses were compared between the cases excluding and including a mines detection system. As results, in the case of the acquirement of the robot system for removal of explosive devices, it is recommended that the performance by improving the mines detection ability should be considered preferentially rather than the cost because the material cost for the mines detection system is negligible compared to the whole system cost. Second, as a way for improving the system performance by the mine detection function, the carbon nanotube (CNT) based sensor technology was studied in terms of sensitivity and simple productivity with presenting its preliminary experimental results. The detection electrodes were formed by a photolithography method using a photosensitive CNT paste. As results, this method was shown as a scalable and expandable technology for the excellent mines detection sensors.
