  • Silicon wafers using DRAM devices required for high cleaning technology and this cleaning technology was evaluated by defect level or electron life time. This paper examined the correlation of SPV(Surface Photo Voltaic Analyzer) which analyzes diffusion length of minority carriers and DLTS(Deep level Transient Spectroscope) which analyzes defect level.

  • The worldwide CPV(Concentrated Photo Voltaic) market has been increased rapidly due to the increase in large-scale PV(Photo Voltaic) plants which are situated in sun-rich areas with either a Mediterranean or equatorial-type climate. CPV systems are arguably some of the most important devices in the production of electricity within regions with a sun-rich climate, particularly those which benefit from abundant direct solar irradiation. We have developed a 500X CPV module with rated power of 170Wp. The CPV module must satisfy the constraint of having a sensitive tracking accuracy due to the limited tolerance of the acceptance angle in intrinsic optical design. In this study, the module's acceptance angle used was designed with a tolerance angle of ${\pm}1^{\circ}$ in the secondary optics design. In general, non-concentrated module type 2-axis trackers have a tolerance angle larger than ${\pm}1^{\circ}$ due to standard silicon-type modules which are insensitive to the tracking accuracy of the sun. They have a tolerance angle of ${\pm}2{\sim}4^{\circ}$, which fails to exert a significant influence on the performance of the module. This paper provides a study of an experimental variation of the efficiency of the CPV module in terms of its tracking accuracy. Also, the performance of the module is studied from the perspective of temperature and direct irradiation.

  • Recently, the domestic BIPV market is expected to revitalize with the introduction of the "zero-energy building certification system(2020~)", but it is somewhat stagnant due to the rigidity of definitions in the current domestic BIPV construction standards. Also, since there is delaying revision on definition and standardization of BIPV, the system is so weak that there are cases where it has been approved as BIPV simply by installing a structure on the wall and fixing the module roughly. The damage caused by this can be passed on to consumers, and it can only create a negative perception of BIPV and jeopardize the entire market. The BIPV definition was prepared through a Delphi survey of related experts about market stagnant cause, unreasonable regulation, etc, and a revised plan was derived accordingly.

  • The conversion of solar radiation into electrical energy by Photo-Voltaic (PV) effect is a very promising technology, being clean, silent and reliable, with very small maintenance costs and small ecological impact. The output power produced by the PV panels depends strongly on the incident light radiation. The continuous modification of the sun-earth relative position determines a continuously changing of incident radiation on a fixed PV panel. The point of maximum received energy is reached when the direction of solar radiation is perpendicular on the panel surface. Thus an increase of the output energy of a given PV panel can be obtained by mounting the panel on a solar tracking device that follows the sun trajectory. Tracking systems that have two axes and follow the sun closely at all times during the day are currently the most popular. This paper presents research conducted into the performance of Solar tracking system with photosensors. The results show that an optimized dual-axis tracking system with photosensor performance and analysis. From the obtained results, it is seen that the sun tracking system improves the energy and energy efficiency of the PV panel.ti-junction CPV module promises to accelerate growth in photovoltaic power generation.

  • Recently, the fossil energy and its related environmental problems (increase in PPM of $CO_2$) have been increased. Therefore, the interests on new and renewable energy have been increased as the one of the future industrial leading items. Among the renewable energy, the PV (Photo-Volatic) systems has particular merit at the electricity can be directly acquired from the sun. Usually in PV systems, the ambient temperature and air velocity have strongly related on the effect of power generation of PV panel. So the purpose of this study is to clarify relationships between power generation of PV panel and outer environmental factors like temperature and air velocity. And these types of applications using natural energy are strongly affected by the climate conditions. Therefore the data of this study were re-arranged in terms of non-dimensional correlations.

  • Of two photovoltaic systems such as stand-alone type and utility interactive one, the utility interactive systems are so valuable for power peak-cut particularly in summer season. For the maximum power point tracking(MPPT) by which the generating energy can be maximized, many control methods have been reported up to now. To overcome the disadvantages of the conventional ones, a new MPPT algorithm is proposed which can improve both tracking ability and generating efficiency of photo voltaic system without chopper.

  • As new one of superconducting power supplies, we proposed an HTS flux pump utilized a solar energy system. As an eternal electric energy can be converted by the solar system, the solar energy system is promisingly applied as an energy source in the power applications. A solar energy system is comprised of solar panel, photo-voltaic (PV) controller, converter and battery. The HTS flux pump consists of an electromagnet, two thermal heaters and a Bi-2223 magnet. In this paper, we describe the possibility the fusion technology between superconducting power supply and solar energy system. As a fundamental step, the fabrication, structure and experimental results are explained.

  • This paper introduces the modeling of PhotoVoltaic(PV) using eMEGASim. For being close to reality, the model controls the MPPT and inverter in system which composed of closed-loop using eMEGASim. Thus, the results of real-time simulation show that outputs of the PV Arrays are more realistic.

  • PV system's islanding occurs when the uitilty grid is removed but local sources continue to operate and provide power to local loads. Islanding is one of the serious problems in an electric power system connected with dispersed power sources. Also, this can present safety hazards and the possibility of damage to other electric equipments. If the real and reactive power of RLC load and PV system are closely matched, islanding detection by passive methods becomes difficult. Novel islanding detection method is proposed for grid-connected PV system.

  • This paper describes operational analysis results of the DC micro-grid using detailed model of distributed generation. Detailed model of wind power generation, photo-voltaic generation, fuel-cell generation was implemented with the user-defined model of PSCAD/EMTDC software that is coded with C-language. Various simulation results confirm that the DC micro-grid can operate without any problem in both the interconnected mode and the islanded mode. The operation analysis result confirms that the DC micro-grid make it feasible to provide power to the load stably.
