원유오염농도와 미생물 농도가 탄화수소의 생분해에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Oil Contamination Levels and Microbial Size on Hydrocarbon Biodegradation.)

  • 오염토양에 유류분해능을 가진 Nocardia sp. H17-1의 접종시 고려되어야 할 인자중 하나인 초기 오염농도에 의한 탄화수소분해능과 초기 접종농도에 의한 분해능 및 균주의 생육을 조사하였다. H17-1은 실험 50일 동안 초기 오염농도 10, 50, 100 g Arabian light oil/kg of soil에 대해 각각 78.5%, 94.3%, 53.2%의 탄화수소를 제거하였으며, 오염농도가 높을수록 분해속도 상수(k) 낮아졌다. $CO_2$의 생성량 또한 오염농도가 높을수록 증가하였으나, 100 g/kg-soil의 오염농도에서는 균의 생육이 저해를 받는 것으로 나타났다. H17-1의 초기 접종농도에 의한 영향은 균의 접종량에 따라 최종 남은 TPH의 양은 큰 차이를 나타내지 않았으나, 분해속도상수(k)는 균의 접종량이 늘어남에 따라 크게 증가되었으며, $CO_2$의 생성량 또한 균의 접종농도에 따라 증가하였다.

  • 다른 탄화수소 분해 방법을 가진 여러 세균을 유류-오염 토양에서 분리하였다. Acinetobacter calcoaceticus SL1은 기름-분산 시험에서 계면활성제-생성능을 보였으며 경유와 n-hexane에 대해 각각 43.6과 54.5%의 유화활성을 나타내었다. 또한 높은 세포 표면 소수성을 가졌는데 이는 탄화수소에 쉽게 부착하여 그것을 분해할 수 있게 한다. 이 균주는 1,000 mg/L의 n-octadecane과 naphthalene을 3일 내에 100% 분해하였으며, 1,000 mg/L의 경유는 7일 동안 72.3%, 그리고 10,000 mg/L로 오염시킨 토양에서는 4주 간 78%를 제거하였다. 다른 분리균주 Bacillus amyloliquefaciens S10과 B. subtilis GO9는 생물계면활성제를 생산할 수 있으며 기름-분산 시험에서 각각 6.34와 2.5 cm직경의 투명대를 형성하였다. 배양 중 그들의 배양 상등액은 표면장력이 74.6 mN/m으로부터 각각 34.4와 33.3 mN/m으로 감소하였으며, 배양 상등액의 critical micelle concentration은 각각 2.0과 5.9%이었다. A. calcoaceticus SL1과 B. amyloliquefaciens S10의 컨소시엄은 10,000 mg/L의 경유를 3일만에 77.8% 분해하였는데 이는 A. calcoaceticus SL1 단독에 의한 것보다 높은 분해능이었다. 만일 이 세균들을 유류-오염 부지에 컨소시엄으로 같이 처리한다면 높은 석유탄화수소 제거율을 나타낼 수 있을 것이다.

  • Petroleum coke has high heating value and low price. Due to the steadily increasing demand for heavy oil processing, the production volume of petroleum coke tends to be expanded. The high availability and low price of petroleum coke have been strongly considered as candidate fuel for power generation facilities. However the high carbon content, high sulfur content and nitrogen content of petroleum fuel are known to produce relatively large quantity of CO2, high NOx and SO2 emission. In this work, a series of numerical simulations have been carried out in order to investigate the effects of swirl flow intensity on combustion furnace, which is most important operating condition. Results show that the temperature distribution was spatially uniform at about 1600K but high temperature region are located quite differently depending on swirl number. In addition, numerical temperature data was compared with experimental temperature data and its temperature difference shows less than 10%. On the other hand, discrepancy between numerical and experimental emission data were slightly large with necessities of improved emission model.

GIS를 활용한 석유제품 유통기관의 판매권역 분석 (An Application of GIS Technique to Analyze the Sales Area of Petroleum Products Distribution Facilities)

  • 본 연구는 석유제품 유통기관의 판매권역을 설정하기 위한 방법론을 제시하고 설정된 판매권역별 특성을 살피고자 하였다. 이를 위해 공간적 상호작용 모델과 입지-배분모델을 적용하여 효과적으로 정유회사 하부의 지역본부 및 지사와 직영 주유소의 판매권역을 설정하는 방법론을 선정하고 판매권역별 특성을 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 정유회사의 지역본부 및 지사의 판매권역을 설정해 본 결과 경기지역본부와 같이 타 본부에 비해 유인력이 큰 공급지가 입지한 수도권의 경우 거리에 기초하여 수요지를 배분하는 입지-배분모델을 적용하고, 나머지 지역의 경우 수요지의 유출력과 공급지의 유인력을 현실적으로 반영할 수 있는 공간적 상호작용 모델을 적용하여 판매권역을 설정하는 것이 가장 합리적이었다. 또한 설정된 각 판매권역의 특성을 분석해 본 결과 판매권역 내에 포함되는 자동차대수와 인구수에 있어서 상당한 격차를 보이고 있었다. 이는 판매권역이 잠재적 수요를 기초로 하여 설정되므로, 휘발유 소비 수준의 격차가 이와 같은 판매권역간에 편차를 야기시키고 있다고 풀이할 수 있다.

  • The vast stores of biomass available in the worldwide have the potential to displace significant amounts of petroleum fuels. Fast pyrolysis of biomass is one of several paths by which we can convert biomass to higher value products. The wood pyrolysis oil (WPO) has been regarded as an alternative fuel for petroleum fuels to be used in diesel engine. However, the use of WPO in a diesel engine requires modifications due to low energy density, high water contents, high acidity, high viscosity, and low cetane number of the WPO. One possible method by which the shortcomings may be circumvented is to co-fire WPO with other petroleum fuels. WPO has poor miscibility with light petroleum fuel oils; the most suitable candidates fuels for direct fuel mixing are methanol or ethanol. Early mixing with methanol or ethanol has the added benefit of significantly improving the storage and handling properties of the WPO. For separate injection co-firing, a WPO-ethanol blended fuel can be fired through diesel pilot injection in a dual-injection dieel engine. In this study, the performance and emission characteristics of a dual-injection diesel engine fuelled with diesel (pilot injection) and WPO-ethanol blend (main injection) were experimentally investigated. Results showed that although stable engine operation was possible with separate injection co-firing, the fuel conversion efficiency was slightly decreased due to high water contents of WPO compare to diesel combustion.

바이오디젤 보급을 위한 정책 및 시장 현황 (Current Status of Policy and Market for Biodiesel in Korea)

  • 본 총설에서는 국내 바이오디젤 생산과 소비, 품질기준 및 시장현황 등에 대해 살펴보았다. 국내에서 생산되는 바이오디젤의 원료물질은 대부분 대두유와 폐식용유이고 바이오디젤 생산 업체 중 원료물질 다변화를 위한 시도들이 진행되고 있다. 농림부에서도 바이오디젤 국내 생산을 위해 2007년부터 3년간 바이오디젤용 유채생산 시범사업을 추진하고 있다. 2006년 7월 이래로 산업자원부와 정유사간 자발적 협약에 의해 현재 시중에 유통되고 있는 경유는 BD0.5이며, 2007년과 2008년에 158400 MT이 공급될 것으로 예상된다. 산업자원부에서 바이오디젤 보급 확대를 위해 2012년까지 경유에 혼합되는 바이오디젤을 매년 0.5%씩 확대하여 3%까지 늘리겠다는 계획을 발표하였으며, 앞으로 바이오디젤의 보급이 크게 확대될 것으로 전망된다.

  • Amount of regulated emissions (CO, $NO_x$, HC), and emissions of some groups of organic substances (volatile hydrocarbons, polyaromatics, and aldehydes) were measured in the standard ECE 83 test on spark ignition engine of a passenger car. The influence of the engine oil composition (mineral or fully synthetic) was examined. For both engine oils, exhaust emissions were measured with fresh oil as well as used oil at the end of the oil drain interval. Unleaded petrol and CNG were used as fuels in all experiments performed. The main conclusion made from the tests is that polyaromatics is the only part of th ε exhaust emissions that was influenced with the nature of the engine oil. Effect on the other components of emissions (aldehydes and VOC) was negligible. Emissions of polyaromatics were almost twice higher for fresh mineral as for fresh fully synthetic oil. The amount of polyaromatics in the exhaust emissions increased slightly with mileage for fully synthetic and substantially more for mineral engine oil.

윤활제의 분자구조가 Base Wax-pigment Composite의 UV-absorption특성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Influence of Molecular structure of Lubricants on the UV-absorption Characteristics of the Base Wax-pigment Composites)

  • Correlation among the wax-pigment composites which is base vehicles for the crepas was investigated in terms of fadeness. The base wax synthesized and pigments are compounded with petroleum lubricant and exposed under carbon arc individually. The yellowing phenomenon was appeared on the reference papers coated with the spindle oil which was then exposed. The papers were again extracted with distilled water and pH of them were ranged between 6.2-6.5. Color difference from Adam-Nickerson equation, ${\vartriangle}E$ of base wax is 0.15 and that of spindle oil are varied from 0.66 to 15.62. Since the main components of the petroleum lubricant are aromatic hydrocarbons which have absorptions characteric of UV ranging from 240 to 280 nm, fadeness characteristics of the composites are largely depend upon the change of molecular structure of spindle oil by absorbing UV. Thus the spindle oil having the following physical properties has the better resistance of fadness and is recommended to use in compounding the base wax-pigment composites: ${\cdot}$ main component: paraffinic hydrocarbon ${\cdot}$ pour point: below - $15^{\circ}C$ ${\cdot}$ UV absorption characteristics: ${\lambda}max.$ : 268-290nm ${\cdot}$ absorbancy: below 0.1(0.03ml of sample/50ml of $CHCl_3$)

미세조류 이용 바이오디젤 항공유 기술개발 동향 연구 (A Research of Trends in Development of Bio-Diesel Aviation Fuel Technology using Microalgae)

  • Microalgae are aquatic microorganisms capable of photosynthetic growth using water, carbon dioxide and sunlight, and can replace petroleum for transportation. It is receiving great attention as a potential next-generation biological resource. The microalgae biodiesel production process is largely based on the development of highly efficient strains and mass production. It consists of cultivation, harvesting, oil extraction, fuel conversion and by-product utilization. Currently, microalgae diesel is 3-5 times more expensive than petroleum diesel. However, with the optimization of each element technology and the development of integrated systems, not only biofuels, but also industrial materials, wastewater treatment, and greenhouse gases As application expands to various fields such as abatement, the timing of commercialization may be brought forward. Oil prices have recently fallen due to the influence of sail gas. Although there has been a significant drop, global warming is an urgent challenge for current and future generations. In particular, Korea, which does not have oil resources, We must always prepare for political environmental changes, high oil prices, and energy crises. In this paper, the need for eco-friendly biofuel for carbon dioxide conversion. In addition to research trends, domestic and international research trends, and economic prospects, the concept of microalgae and the element technologies of the biodiesel production process are briefly discussed introduced.
