반려동물용 화장품 기술 및 산업 동향 분석 (Analysis of Cosmetic Technology and Industry Trends Companion Animals)

  • 우리나라의 급속한 고령화와 핵가족화, 미혼, 저출산 등의 사회적 현상으로 1인 가구 증가에 따른 반려동물 수와 보유 가구가 증가하고 있다. 실제 4가구 중 1가구가 반려동물을 기르고 있으며, 해당 산업의 규모는 2027년 6조원에 달할 것으로 예측하고 있다. 특히 반려동물 산업의 다양화 속에서 반려동물용 화장품 시장이 각광받고 있는 상황에서 이와 관련된 연구를 고찰하고 산업발전 방안에 대한 연구들은 매우 부족한 상황이다. 이에 본 연구는 반려동물용 화장품과 관련한 학술자료, 특허기술, 최신자료를 검색 분석하여 펫화장품 산업의 기초자료로 제공하고자 시도하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 학술 자료는 반려견 피부상태 개선을 위한 천연소재 효과성 검증과 반려동물용 화장품 산업 분석, ICT 융합 반려동물용 화장품에 관한 연구들이 진행되었고, 해당 산업은 아모레퍼시픽, LG생활건강, 애경에서 반려동물용 샴푸 출시가 이루어져 대부분 세정용 화장품이 주를 이루고 있었다. 반려동물용 특허기술에는 피부보습, 피부개선, 가렴움, 염증 증상 완화를 위한 천연물 소재 조성물과 배합비에 대한 특허등록이 이루어졌다. 이 상의 결과 반려동물용 화장품 시장의 소비 수요에 비해 연구와 개발이 아직까지는 미흡함을 확인하였고, 이에 관련 분야의 산업 분석 및 개발 연구가 활발히 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다.

도농 및 직업별 애완동물의 사육기술수준과 전망 (Analysis of Raising Skill Level and Prospects on Pet Industry by Socio-Ecological Status Group)

  • This survey was carried out in order to obtain and apply the basic information on levels of raising skill, recognition of mutual infection between animal and human field of skill training, registration of animal pedigree, mating places, difficulties of raising, channel of marketing, and prospects of raising by socio-ecological status. Data were randomly gathered from 713 peoples, who composed of 398 men and 315 women, from March to August, 2005. As the results, questionnaires were analyzed that relatively 'the level of breeding skill is middle(43.9%)'. The average score for skill level is 1.81$\pm$0.79 when 4 points were used as a full mark. The recognition of mutual infection between human and animal is answered that 'many respondents don't know very well(62.6%)'. The questionnaire answered largely that 'the field of raising skill training is trimming and grooming(29.2%)'. The respondents recognized that 'The pedigree registration of pet is not essential(52.7%)'. The pet breeders answered that 'the mating for reproduction was conducted mainly in pet shops(34.3%)'. The breeders indicated mostly that 'the difficulties of raising were technical skills of raising(53.5%)'. The respondents answered that 'the deal of marketing of animal was mainly achieved through neighbors and close relatives(42.8%)'. The many questionnaires were recognized that 'breeders have a good prospect for the pet industry in the future(51.5%)'.

코코넛 활성탄소 함유 PET 원사의 특성연구 (Characterization of PET fiber containing coconut activated carbon)

  • 최근 국내외 섬유시장은 생활패턴의 변화로 레저 활동 인구가 급증하고, 스포츠 및 케쥬얼 의류의 대한 수요가 증가하고 있어 다기능성을 발휘하는 소재에 대한 관심이 높아지고 기존의 기능성과 차별화된 신소재 및 기능성 소비자 needs가 증가되고 있다. 코코넛 활성탄소 함유 PET 원사는 최근 H사에서 코코넛 열매껍질을 원료로 탄화시켜 얻어진 활성탄소를 polyester에 혼입 방사하여 상용화 단계에 있는 원사로 우수한 흡한속건성, 항균, 소취성 그리고 UV 차단 기능성 등 최근 소비자의 needs에 맞는 고기능성 신섬유 소재로 기존의 유사 기능성 섬유(숯, 대나무, 기능성 무기물 혼입 원사 등)에 비해 물질의 표면적과 공극이 넓어 보다 탁월한 성능을 발휘하는 것으로 알려져 있지만 활성탄소를 함유한 원사로 짙은 원착색으로 인해 의복의 심미성이 크게 떨어지는 단점이 있어 이를 보완 할 필요성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 상용화 단계의 코코넛 활성탄소 함유 PET 원사의 심미성을 보완 할 수 있는 편직기술과 활성탄소 입자 소실을 방지하고 기능성 발현에 알맞은 염색 가공 공정을 확립하여 심미성과 기능성을 갖는 기능성 원단을 개발하였고 개발된 원단의 물성과 기능성을 평가하였다.

A Plan to Vitalize the Companion Animal Fashion Market using Domestically Produced Fabrics

  • As the number of companion animals reaches 15 million in 2022, the pet wear market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of about 14.5% from KRW 1.5684 trillion in 2014 to a market size of over KRW 6 trillion in 2027. However, most of the pet clothing and various supplies currently in circulation are either cheap, low-quality products imported from China or other countries, or expensive products released by overseas luxury brands. Therefore, it is urgent to develop a brand that can compete with luxury products coming from overseas by developing premium pet fashion products using high-end functional fabrics produced domestically. This study seeks to propose ways to revitalize the domestic pet fashion market by examining the current status of global pet fashion, the domestic textile industry, and the current status of the pet fashion market. The suggestions and expected effects are as follows. First, active support is needed for the development of products using domestically produced fabrics, such as raising awareness through various subsidy projects and contests. Second, it is expected that small and medium-sized businesses will be revitalized through the production of pet fashion products using high-quality functional knit fabrics produced in northern Gyeonggi Province. Third, it is necessary to produce high-quality premium products through continuous and intensive support from the government and collaboration between large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises. Fourth, there is an urgent need to provide opportunities to train experts for the expected effects of starting businesses and creating new jobs.

일본의 페트 보틀 투 보틀 재활용 현황 (Development of PET Bottle to Bottle Recycle in Japan)

  • This review paper provides a detailed analysis of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottle recycling in Japan. Japan is a global leader in PET bottle recycling due to its advanced regulatory framework and proactive industry initiatives. Japan's success attributes to the widespread adoption of bottle-to-bottle recycling, driven by the beverage industry's commitment to sustainability. By utilizing post-consumer PET bottle recovery and food-grade mechanical recycling technologies, Japan has achieved significant milestones in PET bottle recycling. This paper examines regulatory frameworks, collection systems, reprocessing facilities, and food safety assessments to highlight Japan's innovative approaches to PET bottle recycling and their impact on global sustainability efforts. Drawing parallels with Korea's early stages of PET recycling, it suggests involving major beverage companies and re-evaluating regulations to promote bottle-to-bottle recycling. The focus is on the implications for Korea to promote circular economy principles in plastic recycling.

전해환원수에 의한 폴리에스테르 직물의 감량가공 특성 (Weight Reduction Properties of PET Fabrics Treated with Electrolytic Reduction Water)

  • The electrolytic water(EW) has been used in agriculture, medical, semiconductor, and household fields. However there has been no use of EW in the textile process so far, because the application in the textile industry has been needed a large amount of EW in real process conditions. Recently, we have got electrolytic oxidation water(EOW) and electrolytic reduction water(ERW) by development of a electricity electron technology. And, the productivity of EW manufacture apparatus is arrived to large capacity. As a result, the application of EW could be possible in the textile industry. In this study, to confirm the possibility of application of EW, we scoured and hydrolyzed PET fabric using the EW. It was possible that the application of ERW for the scouring and hydrolysis of PET fabrics in the textile process.

고감성 의류용 축열 니트소재의 물성 (Physical Property of Heat Storage Knitted Fabrics for High Emotional Garment)

  • This paper investigated wear comfort property of heat storage knitted fabrics for high emotional garment. For this purpose, ZrC imbedded PET knitted fabric was prepared and various physical properties such as thermal, wicking and drying characteristics were measured. In addition, far-infrared emission characteristics of ZrC imbedded PET was analysed and tactile hand property and dye affinity of ZrC imbedded knitted fabric were also studied in comparison with regular and other commercial heat storage PET knitted fabrics. It was observed that Zr imbedded amount in the yarn was 19.29% by ingredient analysis and far-infrared emission energy was $3.65{\times}10^2W/m^2$, emissivity was 0.906 at the range of wavelength $6{\sim}20{\mu}m$. It was found that maximum heat flow (Qmax) of ZrC imbedded PET knitted fabric was lower than that of regular PET one and warmth keepability rate was higher than that of regular PET one, which means ZrC imbedded PET have heat storage property. Drying property of ZrC imbedded knitted fabric was better than that of regular PET one due to heat by far-infrared emitted from ZrC in the core of filament. It revealed that wicking property of the ZrC imbedded fabric was not influenced by far-infrared emission, but affected by fibre physical properties. Tactile hand property of ZrC imbedded knitted fabric was not influenced by imbedding ZrC in the filament but affected preferably by structure of knitted fabric. Dye affinity of ZrC imbedded PET knitted fabric was less influenced by dyeing temperature and time than regular PET knitted one.

PET-MRI에 대한 최적의 정보 제공에 대한 연구: 문헌 보고 중심으로 (A Study on the Optimal Information Provision for PET-MRI: Focused on Literature Article)

  • Currently, state-of-the-art devices such as SPECT, PET/CT, and PET/MRI are rapidly spreading nationwide, and the penetration rate of nuclear medical devices is also ranked fifth in the world. However, PET/MRI's system is slower and less common because it is more complex than PET/CT. The purpose of this study is to provide optimal information on PET/MRI according to the patient's disease. The subjects obtained information on head and neck cancer, pediatric patients, breast cancer patients, heart disease patients, lung cancer patients, and rectal cancer patients. We tried to accumulate protocols by obtaining a lot of information about each disease. In diagnosing head and neck cancer, it is believed that it is highly likely to be used in evaluating preoperative stage determination, recurrence and remote metastasis after treatment, and unclear primary cervical lymph node metastasis. Diagnosis and continuous follow-up of pediatric patients can increase patient benefits by minimizing radiation exposure. Breast cancer provides a comprehensive evaluation of the clinical need to determine the extent of disease in breast and local lymph nodes and the systematic stages of early diagnosis or recurrence. In diagnosing heart disease patients, MR-based PET motion correction helps to realize the full potential of PET images. For lung cancer patients, the clinical value and usefulness of the resolution and detection ability of integrated PET/MRI for soft tissues such as lung cancer will be sufficient. In diagnosing rectal cancer patients, the detection of missing residual diseases can change the clinical response evaluation for rectal cancer patients treated with TNT, and both the initial stage and treatment response evaluation are possible. Therefore, this literature study provided basic clinical data for PET/MRI tests.

PET 섬유를 사용한 친환경 난연지 제조방법에 대한 연구 (Manufacture of Environmentally-friendly Flame-retardant Paper with Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Short Cut Fiber)

  • In this paper, the flame-retardant wall paper was successfully prepared with recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) short cut fiber with flame-retardant property and wood pulp using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as binder followed by treatment of non-halogen flame retardant. Physical properties such as formation index, tensile strength, elongation, and burst strength increased as defibrillation increased except tear strength. Bulk increased but formation index, tensile strength, elongation and burst strength decreased along with addition of PET short cut fiber. It was also found that tear strength rose significantly up to 30% of PET short cut fiber and then declined (fell) rapidly. As addition level of PVA increased tensile strength, elongation and burst strength increased, but tear strength decreased slightly. Addition of 20% of PET short cut fiber and 13% of PVA provided the flame-retardant wall paper with both improved flameproofing and physical properties.
