  • The 2015 revised curriculum aims to cultivate creative convergence talent. In this regard, SW education needs to study various convergence education methods to enhance computational thinking. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of SW convergence education centered on reading education and robot utilization education to improve computing thinking ability. For this purpose, SW education teaching and learning was designed by combining SW education using card coding-based robots with reading education based on interactive works and reading on the whole work. As a result, the convergence education between reading and SW improved all three areas of the concept, practice, and perspective of computational thinking ability and increased the learner's satisfaction.

  • ESG is currently a global topic, meaning environmental, social, and governance, which are three important measures of socially responsible management. It is also having a great influence on improving competitiveness in the global market and enhancing corporate image. In this study, ESG in Korea was analyzed through big data, and four central keywords of ESG management in China based on Chinese data were derived. These four keywords are environment, management, corporate event, and quality certification. In addition, we want to understand the ESG perspective of China by studying ESG cases in China. Through this, we will be able to compare and analyze the differences between ESG approaches and key points between Korea and China.

  • Upbringing requires an active intervention in the process of children growing up. Convergence in technology and media makes it possible to augment nurturing by making blended infrastructures with new digital resources available in learning environments at schools. A game-based provision of educationally-valuable content within a collective, virtual environment combined with an analysis of events in the game after it has been played (blended nurture environment) may help to better communicate human values especially where old-fashioned discussion methods fail or do not fulfill the promise of effective, educational institution-based methods of bringing up. This is where life sciences, psychology, media, pedagogy and technology (need to) converge.

  • IT convergence technology can boost the advancement of weapon systems and efficient operation for the military reformation in Korea. This study investigated IT firms' concern about the defense acquisition process for IT-convergent systems and the role of IT firms in the process with Focus Group Interview and in-depth interview on executives of IT firms, and classified the concern to three major issues. They are the clarification of IT firms' role in the defense IT-convergent efforts, the establishment of the control tower for defense IT convergence, and reasonable estimation of software development cost in the defense acquisition process.

  • The outsourcing has become a general part of the convergence in modern game development process for generating a higher profit margin. This study examines and defines the work competences required for the game graphic designers in a collaboration performance of outsourcing. In this study, we introduce the basic concept and advantages of the outsourcing and extend prior work on identifying three work competencies of graphic designers. We conducted in-depth case studies of outsourcing system used by North America's major game developer. The findings from this study offer insights into the essential core competencies expected for graphic designers, providing effective guideline from the practical perspective.

  • The collaboration productively interacting between multi-agents has become an emerging issue in real-world applications. In reinforcement learning, multi-agent environments present challenges beyond tractable issues in single-agent settings. This collaborative environment has the following highly complex attributes: sparse rewards for task completion, limited communications between each other, and only partial observations. In particular, adjustments in an agent's action policy result in a nonstationary environment from the other agent's perspective, which causes high variance in the learned policies and prevents the direct use of reinforcement learning approaches. Unexpected social loafing caused by high dispersion makes it difficult for all agents to succeed in collaborative tasks. Therefore, we address a paradox caused by the social loafing to significantly reduce total returns after a certain timestep of multi-agent reinforcement learning. We further demonstrate that the collaborative paradox in multi-agent environments can be avoided by our proposed effective early stop method leveraging a metric for social loafing.

  • Purpose: As most defense technologies are classified as confidential, the corresponding International Patent Classifications (IPCs) require special attention. Consequently, the list of defense-related IPCs has been managed by the government. This paper aims to evaluate the defense-related IPCs and propose a methodology to revalidate and improve the IPC classification scheme. Methods: The patents in military technology and their corresponding IPCs during 2009~2020 were utilized in this paper. Prior to the analysis, patents are divided into private and public sectors. Social network analysis was used to analyze the convergence structure and central defense technology, and association rule mining analysis was used to analyze the convergence pattern. Results: While the public sector was highly cohesive, the private sector was characterized by easy convergence between technologies. In addition, narrow convergence was observed in the public sector, and wide convergence was observed in the private sector. As a result of analyzing the core technologies of defense technology, defense-related IPC candidates were identified. Conclusion: This paper presents a comprehensive perspective on the structure of convergence of defense technology and the pattern of convergence. It is also significant because it proposed a method for revising defense-related IPCs. The results of this study are expected to be used as guidelines for preparing amendments to the government's defense-related IPC.

  • The core value of finance is credit. It can be said that without credit, there can be no finance. The distributed structure of the blockchain and the low-cost trust-building mechanism based on mathematical algorithms provide a new solution and path for solving and optimizing related problems in the financial field. The blockchain technology is applied in the development of the financial industry through consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, and distributed networks. In this research, a comprehensive survey of the blockchain technology is proposed in the development of financial services including equity crowdfunding and credit investigations in inclusive finance, cross-border remittance, Internet financial payment, P2P lending, supply chains finance, and the application of blockchain in the field of anti-money laundering. This paper discusses the role of blockchain in solutions to different issues in the financial field. It also discusses the architectures in different financial service application scenarios from the perspective of the financial trust mechanism and the perspective of the technology and rule change of blockchain participation in financial innovation. Finally, the problems and challenges of blockchain in financial services are discussed, and corresponding solutions are proposed.
