PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) 시스템의 차량운행제어에 관한 검증 시스템 설계 (A System Design for the Evaluation of the Operational Control Algorithm of Personal Rapid Transit System)

  • 본 연구는 매우 짧은 차간 간격을 요구하면서 차량 간의 충돌을 피하기 위해서 매우 정확한 속도제어를 필요로 하는 개인 고속 이동 시스템의 운행제어 알고리즘의 검증을 위한 검증 시스템의 설계에 대해서 다룬다. 검증시스템은 모의 차량, 중앙제어 시스템, 모의지상설비, 모니터링 장치로 구성된다. 모의차량은 총 4EA의 서버(노트북)로 구성 하며, 중앙(지역)제어시스템은 산업용 Motorola사(社)의 PowerPC기반 프로세서 모듈 및 I/O 보드 장치로 구성한다. 모의지상설비는 National Instruments社의 PXI 산업용 제어기를 사용하여 구현한다. 설계된 검증시스템의 시험을 위해서 Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit 과 Matlab/Simulink 가 결합된 환경하에서 모의시험을 거친 시험용 알고리즘을 이용한다.

Progressive Linear Precoder Design for Multiple Codewords MIMO ARQ Systems with ARQ Bundling Feedback

  • This work investigates the progressive linear precoder design for packet retransmissions in multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems with multiple codewords and automatic repeat request (ARQ) bundling feedback. Assuming perfect channel state information, a novel progressive linear ARQ precoder is proposed in the perspective of minimizing the packet error rate. We devise the ARQ precoder by combining power loading and sub channel pairing between current retransmission and previous transmissions. Furthermore, we extend the design to the case that the channel estimation error exists. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme can improve the performance of MIMO ARQ systems significantly regardless of the channel estimation error.

  • This study examines the basic conditions of joint authorship research activities in the Korean System Dynamics Review and points out the structural co-author network characteristics among co-authored papers based on the social network analysis(SNA) techniques. In specific, this study identifies the cooperative relationship of research papers in the Korean System Dynamics Review, knowledge formation, and knowledge propagation paths. The study results imply that Korean System Dynamics Review has exhibited the typical 'Steven's power law,' which is repeatedly observed among complex systems, and that knowledge structure centered upon and propagated around couples of researchers. Additionally, the study results present that there have been active personal exchanges among major researchers. In contrast, personal contacts among research groups and within groups seem relatively weak.

  • The design of an intelligent toothbrush, capable of monitoring brushing motion, orientation through the grip axis, during toothbrushing is described. Inappropriate Toothbrushing styles, even in adults, sometimes cause dental problems, cavities, gingivitis, etc. This smart system provides user to monitor his or her brushing pattern using accelerometer and magnetic sensors for evaluation of toothbrushing style. Directional information of toothbrush with respect to earth's magnetic field and activity data were measured by a miniaturized low-power micro- controller, MSP430 and transmitted to personal computer by 2.4GHz radio transmitter, nRF2401. A personal computer provides an on-line display of activity and orientation measurements during toothbrushing. The signal trace is then analyzed to extract clinically relevant measurement. This preliminary study showed that the proposed monitoring system was conceived to aid dental care personnel in patient education and instruction in oral hygiene regarding brushing style.

전공선택동기와 학업성취도가 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Major Choice Motivation and Academic Achievement on Career Maturity)

  • 이 연구는 대학생의 전공선택 동기(개인적 동기, 사회적 동기), 학업성취도, 진로성숙도의 상관관계를 파악하고 진로성숙도의 영향요인을 확인하여 진로성숙도 향상을 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 시도되었다. C도 소재 대학생 199명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 자료 수집하였다. 전공선택 개인적동기 사회적동기, 학업성취도와 진로성숙도의 상관관계를 살펴본 결과 진로성숙도는 전공선택 개인적동기(r=.417, p=.00)와 유의한 양의 상관관계를 나타냈으며 전공선택 사회적동기, 학업성취도와는 유의한 상관관계가 없었다. 진로성숙도의 영향요인은 전공선택 개인적 동기, 경제활동, 전공계열 순이었으며 설명력은 24%이었다. 따라서 전공과 관련있는 분야에서 경제활동을 할 수 있도록 대학차원의 지원이 필요 할 것으로 보여지며 전공선택시 개인적동기가 중요한 만큼 고등학생을 대상으로 한 진로체험이나 미래 직장체험등의 기회를 폭넓게 제공하여 전공선택시 개인적 동기를 높이는데 주력해야 할 것이다.

  • This research is focused on the development of GIS Diagnostic SYSTEM to prevent accidents beforehand by inspecting the internal defects of GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) which is a main power-facility for substations. GIS Diagnostic SYSTEM is categorized as 'Real time on-line test type' and 'Portable test type' depending on the types of testing, it uses PD(partial discharge) which mostly incurs in GIS internal defects, to inspect. As of now, mostly foreign equipments are imported for use due to the lack of the technology localization, and these are installed and operated on only some parts of highly-graded GIS power-facilities such as in 76skv or 345kv for its being expensive. Furthermore, other than foreign equipments being costly, it also has a weak point of very long unavailability in case of Diagnostic system break-down while using, because it takes a comparatively long period of corrective maintenance precesses. We have localized to develop personal real-time multi -functional GIS Diagnostic system which can test on all GIS power-facility comprehensively and economically therefore overcome all these problems mentioned above, a market expansion is expected from the decrease of price and replacing the import equipments in the future. As the equipment was developed to be Personal for the simple ways of installing and utilizing, it can be operated without any complex cable installation like other existing GIS Diagnostic system requires, therefore also decrease the cost of cable installation.

전력선통신(Power Line Communication) 기반 센서네트워크를 이용한 크루즈선 승무원 지원 시스템 개념연구 (Conceptual Design of Crew Support System Based on Wireless Sensor Network and Power Line Communication for Cruise Ship)

  • The highest priority of the cruise trip is the safety and comfort of its passengers. Though the cruise lines take every appropriate measure to ensure that their Passengers are safe and experience enjoyable vacations it is hard to fulfill all passenger's personnel requirement with limited number of crews. Generally, each passenger is issued an identification card which contains their digital photo and personal identification information on a magnetic strip that he or she must present when entering or leaving the ship. This technology allows the ship to know which Passengers and crew members are on board and which are not. However, this system has some limitations of functions and usage. To support each passenger as his or her personal liking, additional number of crews or some kind of new system is needed. In this paper, the crew support system based on sensor network using wireless and wired communication technologies was studied. To design the system, PLC(Power Line Communication) system and ZigBee based passenger location recognition, classification system has studied experimentally. By using this system, crews can serve passengers more closely and personally with less effort.

국내환경을 고려한 도로주행형 PAV 사이징을 위한 구속조건 해석 (Constraint Analysis for the Sizing of Roadable PAV Considering Domestic Environments)

  • 현재 우리나라를 포함한 다수의 국가에서 지상 교통수송 체계가 포화상태에 이르렀다. 이를 해결하기 위해 교통체계의 3차원 화로 교통체증을 완화하고 door-to-door 이동성을 달성하고자 도로주행형 개인용 항공기 (PAV; personal air vehicle)에 관한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 도로주행형 PAV의 사이징에서 지상 활주거리, 상승률, 최대 순항속도, 최대 상승고도, 실속 속도 등의 구속조건하에서 주요 설계 변수인 추력대중량비, 익면하중, 동력대중량비를 구하기 위한 구속조건 해석을 수행하였다. 또한 사이징 과정에서 국내 환경과 일반항공기급 인증기준인 FAR PART 23을 고려한 임무형상에 대하여 추력대중량비, 익면하중, 동력대중량비, 그리고 제동마력의 그래프를 통해서 설계점을 결정하는 연구도 수행하였다.

전산모델에 의한 응축기내에서의 기체유동현상의 예측 (Prediction of Flow Pattern inside a Power Condenser by Computer Modelling)

  • The flow pattern inside the power condenser is generally known to be very complicated due to the phase change and turbulence effects as well as the effect of condenser geometry. In the present study, the flow pattern inside the power condenser was numerically simulated with a personal computer. The widely known CHAMPION 2/E/FIX(Concentration, Heat and Momentum Program Instruction Outfit, 2D/Elliptic/Fixed grid) computer code was modified for this purpose. The flow was asssumed to be two-dimensional and steady-state, and the tube bank was considered to be homogeneous porous medium. Simple turbulent diffusion coefficients based on the appropriate experiments were obtained for the computation. Through this analytical approach, the flow pattern could be predicted fairly well. The computational results also show that the location of the air vent plays an important key role in determining the efficiency of the condenser.

Energy Use Coordinator for Multiple Personal Sensor Devices

  • Useful continuous sensing applications are increasingly emerging as a new class of mobile applications. Meanwhile, open, multi-use sensor devices are newly adopted beyond smartphones, and provide huge opportunities to expand potential application categories. In this upcoming environment, uncoordinated use of sensor devices would cause severe imbalance in power consumption of devices, and thus result in early shutdown of some sensing applications depending on power-hungry devices. In this paper, we propose EnergyCordy, a novel inter-device energy use coordination system; with a system-wide holistic view, it coordinates the energy use of concurrent sensing applications over multiple sensor devices. As its key approach, we propose a relaxed sensor association; it decouples the energy use of an application from specific sensor devices leveraging multiple context inference alternatives, allowing flexible energy coordination at runtime. We demonstrated the effectiveness of EnergyCordy by developing multiple example applications over custom-designed wearable senor devices. We show that EnergyCordy effectively coordinates the power usage of concurrent sensing applications over multiple devices and prevent undesired early shutdown of applications.
