Analysis of Causal Relationship between Chinese Restaurant Chefs' Work Environment and Burnout : Focused on Moderation Role of Enthusiasm

  • Purpose - The current study attempts to enhance competitiveness by improving Chinese restaurant chefs' work environment and analyzes its effect on work environment and burnout. Also, this study analyzes to see if there is moderation role of enthusiasm between work environment and burnout. Based on analyzation, the present study aims to suggest more effective measure of human resource management by reducing burnout and turnover through providing chefs with more stable and consistent work environment and through their enthusiasm. Research design, data, methodology - Surveys were distributed to chefs working in Chinese restaurant in Seoul and Kyunggi region. Total of 500 surveys were distributed between September 1, 2017 and September 20, 2017 (about 20 days), and 417 surveys were returned to be used in the analysis. Results - As a result of testing effect of chefs' work environment on burnout (1) welfare environment, personal environment, and institution environment had significant effect on loss of accomplishment. (2) welfare, personal, and institution environment had significant effect on deindividuation. (3) welfare environment and institution had significant effect on emotional deprivation while personal environment did not. Second, as a result of analysis on moderation role of obsessive enthusiasm between Chinese restaurant chefs' work environment and burnout (1) as a result of interaction between work environment and loss of accomplishment, personal environment had significant effect while welfare environment and institution environment did not. (2) As a result of interaction between work environment and deindividuation, welfare, personal, and institution environment did not have significant effect. (3) As a result of interaction between work environment and emotional deprivation, institution environment had significant effect while personal environment and welfare environment did not. Conclusions - There is manpower shortage due to poor work environment of Chinese restaurant. Studies that are not limited to work environment are needed to more efficiently utilize human resources.

An Empirical Study on the Happiness of Generation MZ Employees in South Korea: Focusing on the Preceding Factors of Happiness and Engagement

  • This study focuses on the happiness of the generation MZ of innovative enterprises, which are evaluated as the driving force of economic growth at a time when the value of happiness is emerging. Happiness is related to the prosperity and performance of the organization. However, MZ generation office workers, who account for 45% of the economically active population, are considered unhappy at work. Therefore, this study attempted to explore the preceding factors (organizational factors, relationship and communication factors, and personal factors) of happiness for the generation MZ of innovative enterprises and to examine the effect of happiness on employee engagement. For the study, 300 usable responses were collected from generation MZ working in innovative enterprises through an online survey. Research hypotheses and research questions were verified using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 23.0. As a result, it was confirmed that procedural justice among the organizational factors, rewarding co-worker/supervisor relationship among the relationship/communication factors, and personal factors (meaningfulness of work, personal accomplishment) positively affected the MZ generation's workplace happiness. In particular, the meaningfulness of work, which corresponds to personal factors, exerted the most significant influence. In addition, in the case of happiness at the workplace, there was a positive effect on employee engagement, which was stronger in organizational engagement than in job engagement. As a result of examining the structural relationship between variables used in the study, it was found that procedural justice, rewarding co-worker/supervisor relationships, the meaningfulness of work, and personal accomplishment positively affected employee engagement through happiness. Through research, the importance of happiness at the workplace was suggested by systematically reviewing the preceding variables of happiness at the workplace and grasping the positive effects of happiness. In addition, the management measure of generation MZ employees of innovative enterprises was discussed, the necessity of research on happiness at the workplace was emphasized, and follow-up studies were proposed.

직무요구-자원모형에 의한 간호사의 소진과 직무만족 분석 (Analysis of Burnout and Job Satisfaction among Nurses Based on the Job Demand-Resource Model)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine burnout and job satisfaction among nurses based on Job Demand-Resource Model. Methods: A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted with 464 hospital nurses. Analysis of data was done with both SPSS Win 17.0 for descriptive statistics and AMOS 18.0 for the structural equation model. Results: The hypothetical model yielded the following Chi-square=34.13 (p=<.001), df=6, GFI=.98, AGFI=.92, CFI=.94, RMSR=.02, NFI=.93, IFI=.94 and showed good fit indices. Workload had a direct effect on emotional exhaustion (${\beta}$=0.39), whereas supervisor support had direct effects on emotional exhaustion (${\beta}$=-0.24), depersonalization (${\beta}$=-0.11), and low personal accomplishment (${\beta}$=-0.22). Emotional exhaustion (${\beta}$=-0.42), depersonalization (${\beta}$=-0.11) and low personal accomplishment (${\beta}$=-0.36) had significant direct effects on job satisfaction. Conclusion: The results suggest that nurses' workload should be decreased and supervisor's support should be increased in order to retain nurses. Further study with a longitudinal design is necessary.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of e - commerce technology characteristics and personal values on purchasing behavior by information security importance. The results of the empirical study that examined the university students in 2006 and 2016 are as follows. First, personal value is centered on personal values, such as self - esteem and self - esteem in 2006. In 2016, however, personal values such as self - fulfillment and personal relationship with others are important. Transactional ease and product service serve as the main value of the fun and pleasure of life, but the sense of accomplishment as the core value of information protection. Second, the technical characteristics of e-commerce are as follows. In terms of ease of transaction and product service, technology characteristics are simplified and directly effected over time. On the other hand, information protection works very closely with individual value, There was a strong tendency to enjoy benefits. Especially in 2006, if you want to enjoy transactional convenience through transaction information security or benefit from product service, it has been changed to recognize the importance of information security through payment in 2016.

지역자활센터 종사자의 내부마케팅, 사회적 교환관계, 개인특성이 사업성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 -조직몰입 매개효과- (The Effects on Internal Marketing, Social Exchange Relations and Personal Characteristic of Business Accomplishment in Self-Support Center Employee -Mediated Effects of Organizational Immersion-)

  • 본 연구는 근로능력 저소득층이 자활할 수 있도록 일자리 제공과 자활 능력 향상에 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있는 지역자활센터 종사자가 인식하고 있는 내부마케팅, 사회적 교환관계, 개인특성이 조직몰입을 매개로 하여 자활사업 성과에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상은 광주 전남지역의 지역자활센터 종사자를 대상으로 총 156부의 설문지를 분석에 사용하였다. 연구결과를 도출하기 위해 SPSS 통계처리 기법을 사용하였는데, 각 변수에 대한 요인분석과 신뢰도 검증을 실시하였고, 가설검증을 위해 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 지역자활센터 종사자의 교육 훈련, 권한위임과 직무효능감이 감정적 몰입의 매개효과를 통해 사업성과가 극대화 된다고 나타났다. 이를 위해 종사자의 교육 훈련, 권한위임과 직무효능감을 향상시키는 방안을 제시하였다.

병원 영양사들의 소진과 직무만족 요인 및 상관관계에 대한 연구 (A Study on Factors and Correlations of Burnout and Job Satisfaction of Dietitians in Hospitals)

  • This study aimed to examine factors and the correlations of burnout and job satisfaction in hospital dietitians. Burnout was classified into three sub-concepts: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment. Job satisfaction was also classified into three sub-concepts, including relationships, self-realization, and advancement opportunities. A survey was conducted with dietitians working in general hospitals of over 400 beds, in the Seoul metropolitan area. The factors that significantly influenced emotional exhaustion were health, work hours, number of intern dietitians, self-esteem, level of responsibility, while the factors that influenced depersonalization were relationships with coworkers, and role ambiguity. Personal accomplishment was influenced by age, the number of staff dietitians, the general number of managed workers, and self-esteem. In terms of job satisfaction, relationship was affected by age and relationships with supervisors, while self-realization was influenced by work hours, health, the number of patient meals, and role ambiguity. Age, job regularity, business management, role ambiguity, and relationships with supervisors also affected advancement opportunities. Emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishments, which represented burnout, had negative relationships with satisfaction with relationships, self-realization and advancement opportunities. Dietitians with low job satisfaction were likely to experience burnout. These results suggest that burnout and job satisfaction are influenced by internal and external factors that are individual or organizational problems encountered by hospital dietitians. Therefore, managers as well as dietitians need to understand these factors and overcome them through communication and mutual support.

소비자의 자아존중감과 소비행동 관련성 연구 : 심리적 가정환경을 중심으로 (Research on the Relations Between Self-Esteem and Consumption Behavior : Mainly On Psychological Family Environment)

  • This research how self-esteem and consumption behavior for adolescent consumers are differentiated different psychological home environment and how the psychological home environment during adolescence self-esteem and consumption behavior. The result of the research as follows. First, when the psychological home environment categorized in 4 subgroups, accomplishment-non-accomplishment zone had average 3 points sense of non-accomplishment. Setting the aspiration level and striving to achieve such level were reviewed to be low. In autonomous-heteronomous, it is thought that with more allowance more responsible for actions and autonomous actions such as respecting personal opinions. Secondly, all 5 sub-groups of the self-esteem level for adolescent consumers showed average of approximately 3 points, a normal standard self-esteem When the overall school score is high self-esteem was also given high points. It can be thought that the school scores provide positive or negative effect on pride, future and surrounding situations. When psychological home environment was deemed positive in the relationship between psychological home environment and self-esteem, evaluation and the faith how other people recognize one were also thought positively. Thirdly, 4 subgroups of the consuming behavior for adolescent consumers had under 3 points for trend pursuit, showing a less severe trend pursuit by adolescents then expected. Consumer behavior for different psychological home environment and self-esteem showed that consumers selected a utility, while trendy and unique consumer behavior was found with middle level of open-closeness when a sense of accomplishment was significant among the psychological home environment.

보육교사의 역할수행과 원장의 지지, 소진의 관계 (Relationship among Child Care Teachers' Role Performance, Supervisor's Support and Burnout)

  • 본 연구는 보육교사의 역할수행, 원장의 지지, 소진의 관계를 규명하기 위해 실시되었다. 경기지역 어린이집에 재직 중인 171명의 보육교사를 대상으로 설문지를 통한 조사를 실시하였고, 역할수행 질문지(박복매, 2011)와 사회적 지지 설문지(이재영, 2012), 직무소진 질문지(김혜경, 2011)를 사용하였다. 결과 처리를 위해 빈도분석, 신뢰도 검증, Pearson의 적률상관분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 보육교사의 역할수행과 원장의 지지, 소진 간의 관계는 모두 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 역할수행 전체 및 하위변인들은 소진 전체 및 하위변인들과 부적 상관을 보였고, 원장의 지지 전체 및 하위변인들은 소진 전체 및 하위변인들과 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 역할수행이 보육교사의 소진에 미치는 영향력은 부적으로 유의하였다. 역할수행의 하위요인인 교육 및 교수활동은 정서적 고갈, 개인적 성취감 감소와 소진 전체에 유의한 부적 영향력을 주었고, 상담 및 정서적 지원은 비인간화, 개인적 성취감 감소에 유의한 부적 영향력을 주었다. 셋째, 원장의 지지가 보육교사의 소진에 미치는 영향력은 부적으로 유의하였다. 물질적 지지는 정서적 고갈, 비인간화, 개인적 성취감 감소와 소진 전체에 유의한 부적 영향력을 주었고, 평가적 지지는 비인간화, 개인적 성취감 감소에 유의한 부적영향력을 주었다. 본 연구결과를 통해 보육교사의 소진을 감소시키기 위해 역할수행을 효율적으로 수행할 수 있는 방안을 고려해야 함과 원장의 지지를 다각적으로 높여내야 함을 시사 받을 수 있다.

간호사의 이직의도 영향요인 (Factors Influencing Hospital Nurses' Turnover Intention: A Cross-sectional Survey)

  • 본 연구는 내부마케팅, 간호 전문직관, 정서적 소진과 개인적 성취감을 이용하여 병원 간호사의 이직의도에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악하고, 설명력을 확인하기 위해 수행한 횡단적 조사연구이다. 서울과 충북지역의 2개 대학병원 간호사 270명을 대상으로 자가보고식 설문지를 이용하여 2013년 5월부터 6월까지 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석은 단계적 다중회귀분석(Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis)을 이용하였다. 분석결과, 간호사 이직의도의 평균값은 $3.91{\pm}0.53$, 내부마케팅은 $2.58{\pm}0.48$, 간호전문직관은 $3.30{\pm}0.64$, 정서적 소진은 $3.23{\pm}0.64$, 개인적 성취감은 $3.24{\pm}0.41$이었다. 간호사의 이직의도에 영향을 주는 요인은 정서적 소진(${\beta}=.28$, p<.001), 내부마케팅(${\beta}=-.22$, p<.001), 간호 전문직관(${\beta}=.19$, p=.010), 근무부서-외래(${\beta}=.22$, p=.021), 직위-책임간호사(${\beta}=-.303$, p=.007), 학력-석사이상(${\beta}=.28$, p=.031)이었다. 이들은 이직의도를 25.1% 설명하였다. 결론적으로 간호사 이직의도에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 요인은 정서적 소진이므로 정서적 소진을 감소시키는 중재는 이직의도를 감소시키는데 중요한 전략이 될 것이다. 아울러 내부마케팅과 간호전문직관을 증가시키기 위한 활동 또한 이직의도를 감소시킬 것이다. 본 연구결과는 구체적인 이직의도 감소프로그램의 개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있으므로 맞춤형 프로그램을 개발하여 적용하고 추후 그 효과를 분석할 것을 제언한다.

재난 자원봉사인력의 소진 양상에 따른 이차외상스트레스와 세상에 대한 신념의 차이 (Understanding Voluntary Disaster Workers with Their Burnout Pattern and the Group Differences in Secondary Traumatic Stress and World Assumptions)

  • 본 연구는 재난지원인력으로서 자원봉사자의 역할과 그 중요성이 계속적으로 증가하는 상황에서 이들이 경험하는 심리적 어려움을 살펴보기 위해, 소진 양상에 따른 하위집단을 파악하고 그 특성을 이해하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 세월호 침몰 사고 당시 자원봉사인력의 소진 양상에 따른 군집을 확인하고, 이차외상 스트레스 증상과 세상에 대한 신념과 같은 재난 관련 반응에서 집단 간 차이가 있는지 살펴보았다. 구체적으로, 사고 당시 재난지원 봉사활동에 참여한 성인 70명을 대상으로 심리적 소진의 하위요인(정서적 고갈, 개인적 성취감, 비인간화)을 사용한 군집분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, '낮은 소진-높은 성취'를 나타낸 집단 1(n=17), '높은 소진-높은 성취'를 보인 집단 2(n=28), '낮은 소진-낮은 성취'를 보인 집단 3(n=25)과 같이 총 세 집단으로 분류되었다. 각 집단의 특성을 이해하기 위해 인구통계학적 특성과 재난지원활동 특성의 차이 검정을 실시한 결과, 재난지원활동 내용과 기간이 집단 간에 유의한 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 다음으로, 이차외상스트레스 증상과 세상에 대한 신념의 집단 간 차이를 살펴본 결과, 집단 2의 경우 다른 집단에 비해 이차외상스트레스 증상의 수준이 높았으며, 집단 1의 경우 다른 집단에 비해 긍정적 자기에 대한 가치감 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 각 집단에서 요구하는 개인·기관 차원에서의 예방과 개입 방안에 대해 논의하였으며, 연구의 제한점을 기술하고 후속 연구를 위해 제언하였다.
