  • 자율협력주행 도로시스템은 자율주행차와 V2X 통신으로 연결되어 상호정보를 주고받으며 자율주행차의 안전주행을 지원하는 도로인프라 시스템을 말합니다. 본 연구는 자율협력주행 도로시스템 서비스의 성능평가 방안 제시를 목적으로 하며, 도로인프라에서 자율주행차에 정보를 제공하는 I2V 서비스 중 '작업구간 정보제공 서비스'를 예를 들어, 먼저 서비스에 대한 Use Case 분석과 서비스 성능을 확인하기 위해 필요한 요구사항 및 서비스 범위를 정의하고, 이러한 서비스의 성능평가 수행을 위한 평가시스템을 제안하였다. 또한, 본 연구에서 제안한 평가시스템을 활용하여 '작업구간 정보제공 서비스'의 현장시험을 통해 평가 가능여부를 검증하였다.

  • 이동 애드혹 네트워크에서 널리 사용하고 있는 AODV 라우팅 프로토콜은 라우팅 경로를 결정할 때 홉수를 사용한다. 그러나 홉수가 송신노드와 목적지노드 사이의 통신경로를 정확하게 반영하지 못하므로 네트워크 성능을 향상시키기 위해 본 논문에서는 AuM-AODV 라우팅 프로토콜을 제안하였다. AuM-AODV 프로토콜은 홉수 외에 통신경로를 반영하는 보조 라우팅 메트릭을 사용한다. 또한 AODV와 동일하게 RREQ, RREP, 그리고 Hello 패킷을 사용하며, 각 통신노드들은 제어 패킷을 수신하면 라우팅 테이블을 갱신한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 AuM-AODV 라우팅 프로토콜을 NS-3 네트워크 시뮬레이터에 구현하였으며, 3가지 성능평가 척도를 사용하여 기존 AODV 프로토콜과 성능을 비교하였다. 성능평가 결과에 따르면 3가지 성능평가 척도에서 AuM-AODV 라우팅 프로토콜의 성능을 우수함을 알 수 있었다.

The Impact of Social Media Functionality and Strategy Alignment to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Performance: A Case Study in Garment SME in East Java

  • Recently, Social media has become a concern for businesses, including Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). SMEs began to adopt social media to support their performance. To benefit from the application of social media, SMEs must implement the right strategy. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the use of social media in SMEs. Furthermore, alignment between social media functionalities and strategies and their effect on SME's performance are investigated. A case study is conducted in Gymi, a garment SMEs in East Java, Indonesia. The data collection includes interviews with the owner of SMEs, observations, and document analysis. Data analysis is performed by pattern matching, which matches the patterns from the literature with data from the case study. The results of this study show that cost-effectiveness, interactivity, and compatibility are factors that influence the use of social media in Gymi. The social media used by Gymi are Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, and LINE. However, the main social media used to support Gymi's functions is Instagram. Gymi has a relatively good social media strategy as it has defined a specific goal, target audience, and channel selection for social media (Instagram). It also has specific resources and policies to handle social media. Gymi monitors and evaluates their social media content activities. These strategies are aligned with the Instagram feature used to support Gymi's function, particularly marketing, sales, customer service, and to some extent, internal operation. The alignment contributes to Gymi's performance measured by the increase in reputation (number of Instagram followers) and sales.

A Study on Depth Information Acquisition Improved by Gradual Pixel Bundling Method at TOF Image Sensor

  • The depth information of an image is used in a variety of applications including 2D/3D conversion, multi-view extraction, modeling, depth keying, etc. There are various methods to acquire depth information, such as the method to use a stereo camera, the method to use the depth camera of flight time (TOF) method, the method to use 3D modeling software, the method to use 3D scanner and the method to use a structured light just like Microsoft's Kinect. In particular, the depth camera of TOF method measures the distance using infrared light, whereas TOF sensor depends on the sensitivity of optical light of an image sensor (CCD/CMOS). Thus, it is mandatory for the existing image sensors to get an infrared light image by bundling several pixels; these requirements generate a phenomenon to reduce the resolution of an image. This thesis proposed a measure to acquire a high-resolution image through gradual area movement while acquiring a low-resolution image through pixel bundling method. From this measure, one can obtain an effect of acquiring image information in which illumination intensity (lux) and resolution were improved without increasing the performance of an image sensor since the image resolution is not improved as resolving a low-illumination intensity (lux) in accordance with the gradual pixel bundling algorithm.

  • In this paper, we are proposed to pushing window input buffer A.T.M Switch that is not use memory read and write of general window police. Pushing window switch is superior to general window switch in performance but is large to general window switch in cross point number. Max throughput and Cell occupying probability results are verified by analysis an simulation. The evaluation of performance is max throughput and cell loss probability and mean queue length.

A Fast Response Smectic LCD using Induced Polarization

  • In this paper, a general performance of the PSS-LCD or Polarization Shielded Smectic Liquid Crystal Display is discussed. This smectic base LCD does not use any spontaneous polarization, but uses induced polarization just sa me with current nematic base LCDs. Specific initial molecular alignment as well as specific cell design realizes ext remely fast optical response speed with native wide viewing angle. Moreover, this performance is provided by full compatible electronics for current conventional LCDs. A general performance of the PSS-LCD is introduced herein.

  • In this paper. we propose a system model and the associated control method for long distance connection using the High Performance Serial Bus, IEEE 1394. Though IEEE 1394-1995 Standard has connection distance limit of 4.5m, our proposed system can extend the limit further even without degrading network performance. And the current systems using IEEE 1394 don't have to make any change to use the proposed system.

  • In this paper, we propose a robust trellis coded modulation for a correlated Rayleigh fading channel. This method use only one transmit antenna, which can achieve superior performance compared to Space-Time Trellis Coded Modulation (STTC) over a wide channel correlation range among transmit antennas. The code is designed to have the largest Euclidean distance between faded signals at the receiver. Computer simulations are performed to evaluate the frame error rate (FER) performance and to compare the proposed code with the conventional one.

A Study of the Relationship Between Cognitive Ability and Information Searching Performance

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a framework for predicting searching performance through an understanding of how cognitive ability relates to searching process and outcome. Specifically, this study examined the relationship between spatial visualization, logical reasoning, integrative reasoning, and information searching process and outcome. Information searching process was assessed by seven search process indicators: (1) search command selection: (2) combination of search commands; (3) application of Boolean logic: (4) application of truncation; (5) use of limit search function; (6) number of search statements; and (7) number of search errors made. Searching outcome was assessed by the number of correct answers to search questions. Subjects first took three standardized cognitive tests that measured cognitive abilities, and performed online catalog searching in response to seven information search questions. The searches were logged using Lotus ScreenCam, and reviewed for the analysis. Factor analysis was used to find underlying structures of the seven search process variables. Multiple regression analysis was applied to examine the predictive power of three cognitive variables on three extracted factors, and search outcome. Results of the data analysis showed that individual differences in logical reasoning could predict information searching process and outcome.

How Apparel Companies Use Social Media: The Case of Facebook

  • This study focused on how the U.S. apparel companies use social media as a new marking channel. On Facebook Wall the contents of messages in English initiated by companies and consumers were investigated and categorized by using content analysis. Chi-square analysis and t-test were utilized to compare the use of social media by companies with higher and lower business performance. The majority of messages initiated by apparel companies gave their consumers useful information about new products, promotions, and recruiting. On the other hand, messages initiated by consumers contained a variety of content related to companies, users, and products. Apparel companies with lower business performance were more actively engaged in posting messages and responding to consumers. The results will be helpful in employing social media to build new marketing strategies through direct communications with consumers.
