In this paper, the VR(Virtual Reality) simulation system is developed to analyze driver's perceptive response on the ASV(Advanced Safety Vehicle). The ASV is the vehicle of next generation equipped with various warning systems. For the purpose, the VR simulation system consists of VR database, vehicle dynamic model, graphic/sound system, and driving system. The VR database which generates 3D graphic and sound information is organized for the driving reality. Mathematical models of vehicle dynamic analysis are constructed to represent the dynamic behavior of a vehicle. The driving system and the graphic/sound system provide a driver with the operation of a vehicle and the feedback of a driving situation. Also, the real-time simulation algorithm synchronizes the vehicle dynamic model with the VR database. To check the validity of the developed system, a simple scenario is applied to investigate driver's perceptive response time and vehicle acceleration on an emergency situation. It is confirmed that the proposed system is useful and helpful to design the FVCWS(Forward Vehicle Collision Warning System).
With a view of to providing basic data for designing male's and female's clothes, heslthy males and females(five each) were exposed to three different environmental temperature( $20{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$$28{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$,$32{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$ in the nude. Their adaptation of skin temperature, physilogical responses, oral temperature, blood pressure, pulse rates) and psychological reactions (thermal, comfort and perceptive sweat sensations) were analyzed to be as follows; The subjects's skin temperature had a similar look of adaptation, but the stability of skin temperature differed at the $20{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$and at the $28{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$ Males had higher skin temperatures at three environmental temperatures, but females showed a higher temperature change at the $20{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$ and$28{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$ and males at the $32{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$ Thus females were more resistant to the cold, while male were more resistant to the heat. As environmental temperature increased, oral temperature and pulse rates also grew up. Females turned higher in oral temperature and lower in blood pressure, but both sexes had a normal range of physiological reactions. Even though three environmental temperature were same changes in thermal sensation at and in perceptive sweat sensation at $28{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$and in perceptive sweat sensation at$32{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$ the two sexes had the same response in comfort sensation at the three environmental temperature.
For understanding skin temperature based on clothing design from a viewpoint of comfortable wearing, the skin temperature, physiological reactions(body temperature, blood pressure and pulse) and physilolgical response(thermal sensation, comfort sensation and perceptive sweaty sensation) were measured on condition tha t5 naked healthy male exposed to serveral environmental temperatures,( $20{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$ ,$28{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$ and $32{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$). As the results of this testing, the regional skin temperature was varied for 90min just after expose to those the environment but was generally stabilized for the nest 90min. It was proved the difference of the regional skin temperature at low temperature environmental($20{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$) was larger than at high temperature environmental($32{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$) and inder serveral environmental temperature, the degree of the regional skin was not equal. Except in case of the thigh, the front of all regional skin temperature turned out higher than the back of them. According to change of environmental temperature, body temperature and pulse were altered. In the pshycological response, 'thermal sensation-comfort sensation' was felt to 'slightly warm - comfortable' at $28{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$of the environmental temperature, and 'perceptive sweaty sensation', wneh it was said 'sweat' at only $32{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$ of it.
Recently, growing emphasis has been placed on the installation of rain gardens. However, previous rain garden studies have mainly focused on physicochemical effects such as rainfall runoff management and water quality improvement. Therefore, this study aims to investigate general perceptions of rain gardens and landscape aesthetics among rain garden visitors. To achieve this goal, a survey of 100 rain garden visitors was conducted, gathering information about their general perceptions of rain gardens and landscape aesthetics at three pre-selected rain garden locations. Results showed that rain garden recognition was limited to 34% of the respondents, indicating that most people were not aware of rain gardens and were unable to notice differences between rain gardens and traditional gardens. However, stronger support for rain gardens was observed among those who were aware of the concept, those who recognized that rain garden planting types are differentiated from traditional gardens, and those who rated positively the landscape aesthetic value of rain gardens. The main findings are expected to encourage further studies of quantitative indicators by conducting a correlation analysis between aesthetics and functionality of rain gardens.
The purpose of this paper is to research Korean boundary tone of sentence type and perceptive speaker's attitude according to speech rate - three type. In view of the preceding study, Korean intonation's meaning is determined by boundary tone. Also, in my experimental results, Korean boundary tone of sentence type has preferential tone. However, Korean boundary tone of sentence type is not influential according to speech rate. The speech rate's change of three pattern is influential in auditor's perceptual response. The relationship between the pitch contour of boundary tone and speech rate is not significant.

This styudy analyzed the main bodies, marginal space, Position of the main bodies of curent textbooks in high schools and "the eriteria of reading system for textbooks" which was sugested the Department of Education and Provided some sugestions for the improvement. The research methods used for the study were both literature review and survey rdsdarch with a questionaire. Inorder to research for the main body of textbook, space of margin, the optimum position fo the main body, sizes of litters, spaces between letters, words, lines length of lines, sizes of main body and margin, and margin, and postitionof main body were checked through a related literature review. For the questionaire experiment, a questionaire based on data drawn from analysis of textbooks, "criteria for reading system of textbook" sugested by the Department of Education, and some suggestions for improvement by the researcher was made and used for the test, targetting 384 body and girl students in high schools.
The quantitative study investigated perceptions of evaluative criteria in L2 writing between two groups - learners (N=212) and instructors (N=52) in Korea. Specifically, the purpose of the study is (1) to examine learners' and instructors' perceptions on evaluative criteria in L2 writing and to provide empirical evidence concerning how they respond to a list of them and (2) to ultimately devise appropriate rating criteria applicable to an EFL context like Korea. Analyses of evaluative criteria were conducted using factor analysis and yielded the following results: learner and instructor groups perceived the evaluative criteria differently and weighted them in a different way. For the learner group, the combined elements of grammar and language in use were identified as Factor 1 and mechanics as Factor 2. The results may infer that learners' response patterns are primarily linked to their instructors' writing practice in class, which may largely focus on grammatical knowledge based on lexical use and mechanical accuracy. Similarly, the instructor group acknowledged grammatical knowledge as Factor 1 and lexical use as Factor 2. The first two factors found in both learner and instructor groups indicate that in an EFL context like Korea, the form-then-content way of teaching and learning is still being considered more effective in L2 writing than any other method. Taking into consideration these perceptive similarities and differences between learners and instructors, the categories of evaluative criteria in writing include content and organization, grammar, mechanics, language in use, and flow of the essay, respectively.
All art forms are the results of the artist's response to the philosophical, sociological, and cultural tendencies of the period in which the artist lives. Post-modern period differentiates itself from Modern period in many aspects. One of these is the emphasis on phenomena which are ephemeral and changing. This paper looks at the perceptive and cognitive bases of these expressions of change in space design and their affordances on human behavior The first chapter provides the purpose and the background of the research. It studies the philosophical, sociological and cultural characteristics of the Post-modern era which bring forth expressions of time & change in space design. The second chapter explains two basic approaches which can be applied to the perception and cognition of the environment. The third chapter deals with the perceptional and cognitive bases, and the human affordances of the expressions of change in space design. Finally this paper will analyze the types of space design which show this tendency : change by the technology, change by the participation of viewers, and change by the natural and chance. In each type, there will be analyses of examples. this will lead us to the understanding of how the space design including time & change expresses the spirit of the age and how it can play positive roles in human psychology.
This study evaluated the effect of functional characteristics of the fabric for Bikram yoga clothing and fit measured in clothing pressure on the wearer's physiological response and perceptive sensation before and after exercise in hot conditions and during a resting period in standard conditions. The test garment consisted of two tops (T1, T2) and two pants (P1, P2) each with different functional characteristics of fabric. Using various combinations of the test garments, assessment of the thermal sensation and comfort was performed before/after yoga and after resting. This study revealed that thermal sensation and wearing comfort significantly changed based on the functionality of the fabric of top garment before the exercise period. In addition, the results showed that based on clothing pressure, the feeling of comfort was different between before yoga and after resting. The appropriate choice of fabric material was important when constructing Bikram yoga clothing worn in hot conditions; however, level of clothing pressure was also found to be an essential design factor for comfort during rest after exercise.
