  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the perception of wayfinding in public interior space. According to this study, a virtual reality simulation test was conducted to examine the effect of wayfinding. Theoretical research was used to explain the psycho-physiological effect of visual perception and case study was carried out to evaluate the physiological response of the subjects. For the physiological evaluation, two simulations with sign and color sample were chosen and the EEG was Used. Data were collected from May 15th. to June 15th. The subjects were 20 students of architecture department and frequency, percentage, ANOVA, T-test, multiple comparisons were used for data analysis.

  • This study presents the eigen ethnic function and mathematical processing method of human information. Human information can be definded as the overlap area taking the superposition property composed of intuition and sensory in stimulus/response (S/R) model, In S/R model, the intuition and sensory eigen ethnic function acts on the forming of perception. Perception process by the superposition property of intuition and sensory analogy to the basic neural network model. This analogy model extends to the analysis method. As an analysis method, optimal ratio number induced to the golden section ratio. Golden section ratio drived out by diverse source and implicated to the sensory and intuitive context such as beauty, harmony, optimality etc. This numerical orders can be applied to analysing the Perception process and extended to pursue the Potential human behavior, On the basic of proposed applying method, an illustrative mathematical examples are presented.

  • This study examines psycho-physiological effects of visual perception in super-high rise apartment exterior space. Theoretical research was used to explain the psycho-physiological effect of visual perception and case study was carried out to evaluate the physiological response of the subjects. For the physiological evaluation, six slides were chosen and the EEG was used. According to the results of the case study, the central nerve was activated by the slides with pleasant scenic views. In shows that the scenery composed of natural scenic elements effects psychological condition positively. Scenic views with natural scenery have a direct correlation with positive attitude. In conclusion, the results of this study show that the exterior space should contain natural scenic view to help users decrease their visual stress.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate children's perception of reading. The researchers interviewed 120 children aged 5 to 7 (40 for each age group) by using a specially designed interview format. The study of Johns (1973) was referred to as a guide in preparing the format. Responses of the children were classified in accordance with criteria worked out on the basis of the researchers' previous studies and analyzed in terms of frequencies and percentiles by age group. ${\chi}^2$ test was used to analyze the data. The findings of the study were: (1) The younger the children, the higher the rate of showing no response or of responding only to concrete incidents or things. Older children in general showed higher responses relevant to reading comprehension than younger ones. (2) Older children were more inclined than younger ones to regard the process of reading as a skill-oriented, teacher-based process. (3) Children in these age groups showed little perception of reading's objectives of comprehension and communication.

  • Tall buildings are subjected to wind loading that can cause excessive wind-induced vibration. This vibration can affect the activities of the inhabitants of a building and in some cases fear for safety. Many codes and standards propose the use of curves of perception of acceleration that can be used to verify the serviceability limit state; however, these curves of perception do not take into account the uncertainty in wind-climate, structural properties, perception of motion and maximum response. The main objective of this study is to develop an empirical expression that includes these uncertainties in order to be incorporated into a simple procedure to evaluate the wind-induced acceleration in tall buildings. The use of the proposed procedure is described with a numerical example of a tall building located in Mexico.

  • We this study investiged the level of perception such as construction quality-related systems according to the subject of construction work. The results of the recognition moisture survey showed a high response rate in the order of construction companies and supervisors. The result of the system's level of understanding was low at 3.6 points for the orderer and contractor. In addition, in recognition of the effectiveness of the quality management system, the contractor showed a somewhat negative perception than other targets.

  • This study, guided by Engeström's (1999, 2001) activity theory which owes its theoretical lineage to sociocultural theory, explores how roles (peer feedback givers and receivers) and tasks are distributed among EFL students who engage in peer response. More specifically, as an extension of previous research of focusing on "stances" ESL students adopt, I investigate whether different roles in peer response groups make a difference in the nature of peer response and identify what underlays the different roles in peer group interaction. In addition, I examine whether different roles to the peer response create tensions and contradictions in peer response and how these created conflicts lead to changes in peer response activity system. The data I wish to consider is first-person narratives elicited from two EFL college students. I use Won's and Choi's (both pseudonyms) stories as a heuristic, which is a method that allowing one to proceed fruitfully in finding information. Foregrounded in this study are the students' different roles in the same peer response activity. A division of labor exists between Won/Choi and their peers - the way tasks are divided up and the way roles are structured. Yet Won and Choi adopted rather divergent roles when participating in peer response activity and carried out qualitatively different peer response activities. It is obvious here that the distribution of their roles in carrying out this particular peer response is shaped by Won' and Choi's perception about the validity of their peers' responses.

  • This study focused on university students' risk perception of cybercrime through media exposure. For this purpose, I tried to figure out the results of risk perception on cybercrime with 8 factors. As a result, the lowest type of cybercrime was internet fraud, and it was caused by media type and degree of exposure, where university students get information about cybercrime. There's a difference of students' risk perception by media type, news media was the best. Depending on the media of the environment, even in the area of cyber crime there is a difference of perception of risk for each individual. And it can be confirmed that the risk perception in response to the exposure of the media has changed.

  • The lower limb somatosensory deficit observed among peripheral neuropathy patients is partially related to the decline in their balance ability. In general, balance ability has been examined by measuring the postural response (i.e., action). However, body motion is induced by integrated multisensory cues (i.e., motion perception). In this study, we hypothesized that the reduced lower limb somatosensation might also lower motion perception. We induced lower limb sensory deficits through ischemia and then measured the cutaneous sensory sensitivity and directional motion perception. The sensory deficit was successfully induced, and it also lowered the motion perception. However, the center of pressure (COP) variation did not significantly change under the sensory deficit. This result implies that measuring motion perception could enable the detection of precursors of sensory deficits.

  • The purpose of this study is that level of community members about dental hygienist's job of cognition and perception. The subjects of this survey were 500 of community members located in Gumi, Seoul, Incheon, Wonju.(response rate 92%) The results of study could be summarized as follows: 1. Women, 30 age group, officer and house keeper who had were experienced scaling higher level cognition of dental hygienist than another groups. 2. The group that had experienced oral examination, oral health consult, and the young group who had not experienced prosthodontic treatment had higher perception that dental hygienist main role is oral health care education. 3. The student who had experienced scaling had higher perception that dental hygienist's main role is oral disease prevention. 4. Over 30 age, women group who had experienced dental treatment between 6 month and 2 years had higher perception that dental hygienist main role is dental assistance At the conclusion of this investigation, We investigated that person's perception and cognition is promoted through scaling. Therefore we have to increase opportunity of oral health prevention and education role. In addition, we should notify dental hygienist with uniform, name tag and information about dental hygienist.
