Age, sex ana educational states aid not influence the mean values of Hospitalization Informativeness Scale in both groups. 2 . The length of hospitalization did not influence significantly on the mean value of Hospitalization Informativeness Scale in both groups. 3. Rank difference correlation coefficiently between mean value of Hospitalization Informativeness Scale and the importance of information the patient's perceived were revealed significant at 0.01 level in all 4 categories such as admission discharge, treatment and nursing activities, diagnostic test, diagnosis and prognosis, health teaching for the patient and family in experimental group. While, only two categories such as treatment and nursing activities and health teaching for the patient and family in control group were revealed significant correlation. 4. • The paper reports on exploratory research into the factors influencing adoption of low impact development (LID) regulations by local government. The research uses ten case studies ranging from low to high level adoption of LID in Virginia. Based on the theory of diffusion of innovations, perceived characteristics of LID, characteristics of the adopting local government, motivations of the adopter, and the surrounding organizational context of the adopter are chosen for the key factors influencing on LID adoption. By reviewing the local governments regulations related to stormwater management, meeting minutes, reports and documents, and in-depth interviews, the evaluation of the key factors and the local LID adoption was conducted. As a result, adopters with a high level of LID adoption at the time of the study were heavily influenced by champions of LID within local government and communities. In contrast, moderate level adopters and low-level adopters emphasized the importance of external forces like state regulatory mandates and the need for clear models to implement.

  • Purpose Product characteristics and price value in website have strongly effects on customer satisfaction. Especially, in the online shopping site, the scarcity limits the customer's opportunity to purchase the product. Thus scarcity has been proposed as a important factor that makes the customer highly aware of the merchantability of the product. The scarcity in the web store is used as an important variable to make purchasing decisions of users easier by psychological pressure. In the case of scarce products with price discounts in online commerce, advertising formats that highlight scarcity value in the web commerce market are very effective in enhancing purchase intentions of consumers. Unlike offline stores, the importance of scarcity becomes more important when reflecting the characteristics of online commerce. Therefore, this study intends to confirm the influence of the degree of price discounts and scarcity information presented by Web sites on consumer purchase behavior in Web purchase behavior. Design/methodology/approach This study conducted a web-based experimental study on price sensitivity and price discount. Therefore, we created experimental web-sites that offer two stimuli according to the discount rate. The 200 respondents were randomly assigned. The stimuli were fictitious based on tourism products. The first stimulus presented the price discount(15% discount) with basic explanation about the package of the tourist package. The stimuli assigned to the second group were used for groups with high price discount intensity(65% discount). In this way, the two stimuli clearly distinguished the level of price discount intensity. This paper conducted t-test analysis and structural equation to analyze the experiemental results after confirming the reliability and validity. Findings The results of this study are as follows. The difference in price discount intensity (15% vs 65%) with scarcity showed the mean difference among all the variables. Therefore, this study concluded that there is a significant difference between the price discount of 15% and 65% for the acquisition value and transaction value of users. In particular, consumers' purchase intention is greater and product recommendation intensity is stronger when the price discount is 65%. As a result, the high degree of the price discount intensity with scarcity exerts a greater influence on consumers' purchase intentions. Product scarcity also have a significant impact on perceived value of users. Therefore, purchase intention of customers increases when perceived value increases their profit and pleasure feeling.

  • As the level of competition has increased in the construction management market, it becomes a critical issue for CM firms to secure competitive edges. The objective of the study is to investigate elements of competitive strategy as perceived by CM firms and to discuss key features and implications. Michael Porter's Competitive Strategy Model was used as a framework to analyse the elements under three strategy categories. A major finding includes that Differentiation Strategy is generally perceived most important strategy category but, depending on the group to which a CM firm belongs, there exist a gap in the perception. However, regardless of the group, Cost Leadership is commonly considered least important strategy category. In particular, lowest-bidding strategy element showed the least importance. Understanding CM firms' perceptions on elements of competitive strategy provides an insight into CM firms' current strategy directions and can be useful for future tuning in a firms' own strategy.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of the foodservice management practices, the equipment ratio of sanitary facility/equipment, and dietitians' perceptions of (i) the barriers to sanitary management and (ii) the sanitary management performance level in the welfare institutions for the disabled in Korea. The survey was conducted during the period from September 7 to October 15, 2006. A total of 91 institutions(response rate 74.6%) were analyzed by using SPSS(windows ver. 14.0). The average number of meals served per day per an institution was 379. The majority(93.4%) of dietitians made decisions in procurement. The major part of the purchase was made through private contract. The factors affecting menu planning were nutrition, food preference, and cost, in the order of importance. Among the food items, fruits were infrequently served, while protein source foods and green leaf vegetables were almost daily served. The equipment ratio of sanitary facilities/equipment was 45%, which was relatively low. Most dietitians perceived 'limited availability of facilities and equipment' and 'the lack of support from financing department' as the major barriers in implementing a desirable sanitary system. Sanitary management performance in 'the food ingredient' was perceived as the lowest, while that in 'the uniform' showed the highest. The results of this study suggest that a proper supporting program on securing the facility/equipment and adequately trained employees are needed for successful sanitary management. Also, a more frequent supply of fruits for the disabled is recommended.

  • From the past to the present, justice has attracted many people's attention. Most of the previous studies carried out in relation to justice are studies of the resulting variables, and there is a great advantage that they let us know about the importance of justice. However, the findings are focused only on the behavior of the members of the organization according to the status of justice already perceived. Therefore, studies on the antecedent of justice are also necessary to understand justice accurately. This study identifies the factors that can directly affect justice and the contextual factors that could moderate their relationship. In particular, using the '2017 Public Employee Perception Survey' released by the Korea Institute of Public Administration, we examined how innovative behavior of public employees affects the perception of distributive justice and how the relative professionalism, which is the situation variable, moderates the relationship between variables. A regression analysis of 321 public employees showed that innovative behavior affects the perception of distributive justice, and that the positive relationship of innovation behavior to the perception of distributive justice is weakened when the level of individual perceived relative professionalism is high.
