  • Peer evaluation is an evaluation centered on the student, through which interaction among students becomes active. The peer evaluation has a greater influence on students than a unilateral directions from the teacher has. This study aims to develop performance assessment models and tasks in which students participate using the remote responder in 4th grade social studies classrooms in the elementary school. It also aims to apply the developed models and tasks to class and to find out how they affect students' academic achievement and attitude. The student participation performance assessment using the remote responder appeared to bring a positive influence on social studies academic achievement and showed statistically significant results. The survey on the students' interests in using the remote responder and its effects conducted after the performance assessment showed positive results.

Methods : The study performed from November 2013 to June 2014 for six occupational therapists without completion of the education of ASI$^{(R)}$ intervention. The participants were educated about the ASI$^{(R)}$ intervention during 8 weeks and took and assessed films before and after education. The assessment was the self-assessment, the peer-assessment, the expert-assessment and the data of assessment was analyzed by Mann-Whitney and ICC. Results : The result of process factors before and after education according to methods of assessment, the self-assessment was significant in 'self-regulation,' 'collaboration,' 'ensures success,' 'play,' 'alliance,' and 'total item'. The peer-assessment was significant in all item exception 'safety'. The expert-assessment was significant in all items exception 'sensory opportunities'. The results of self-assessment and expert-assessment before and after the education of ASI$^{(R)}$ intervention were significant in 'safety'. Conclusion : The results of this study provide to need the education of ASI$^{(R)}$ intervention for accuracy sensory integrative intervention. The occupational therapists need to check the style of intervention.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of peer tutoring on mathematical inclination and mathematical communication ability of peer tutor. For the purpose of this study, research questions were established as follows: 1. How does peer tutoring affect to the mathematical inclination of peer tutors? 2. How does peer tutoring affect to the mathematical communication ability of peer tutors? To answer the research questions, four 5th grade peer tutors were selected for qualitative case study in an elementary school located in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. Before and after 11 weeks of peer tutoring in their mathematics classes, mathematical inclination, mathematical communication ability of peer tutors were examined. For qualitative analysis, peer tutors were asked to complete worksheets, self-evaluation, journal for their peer tutoring in daily basis during the experiment. By comparing the scores in mathematical inclination test and mathematical communication test before and after the treatment and analyzing the data gathered for qualitative analysis, the conclusions were drawn as follows: First, Peer tutoring has positive effects on the mathematical inclination of peer tutors. Scores for mathematical inclination of peer tutors after the treatment increased and qualitative analysis showed positive change in their attitude toward mathematics. Second, Peer tutoring has positive effects on the mathematical communication ability of peer tutors. Scores in the performance assessment for mathematical communication ability of peer tutors after the treatment increased. Also qualitative analysis showed that peer tutors tried to develop various ways to solve a problem and explained them to their peer tutee sophisticatedly.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore and to suggest the effective teaching methods for university students to improve their speaking abilities through peer assessment-feedback and self assessment-feedback based presentation and debate class. The objects and content of the study were the students who took a class "Reading and Communication" of H university, and here examine closely the speaking activities and their effects during the integrated activities of 'reading, speaking and writing'. In speaking education peer and self assessment feedback is to form an emotional consensus among the students and encourage active participation, and enable self-discovery and communication learning to students. As a result of the study, it was found that the variety speaking practice had a very positive effect on the attitude of speaking and the psychological aspect, and it was confirmed that the evaluation and feedback activities had a meaningful learning effect on the students. Effective speech education and guidance measures should be continuously studied and developed.

  • This study aims to analyze how pre-service science teachers' reflective thinking is presented during the microteaching process. The subjects of this study were 13 students who attended a lecture course on science teaching methods offered by the Department of Science Education of the College of Education at a national university. The simulated lessons that were performed during the microteaching process went through peer assessment and self-assessment. Then, the next set of lessons was conducted based on the assessment results. After the first set of simulated lessons, the pre-service teachers' reflection at the routine and technical levels was most remarkable in the focus dimension. In the inquiry and change dimensions, technical reflection stood out. Dialogic or transformative reflection was rarely presented. In addition, most of the pre-service teachers displayed mingling patterns of reflection levels in all of the three dimensions. The results of this study, in particular, prove that microteaching has a high level of applicability in terms of reflective thinking and instructional technology. Accordingly, there is a need for subsequent studies to create a new model that can encourage pre-service teachers' reflective thinking by structuralizing peer and self-assessment during the process of microteaching.

From a sample of 420 kindergarteners, twenty were classified as popular children and twenty were classified as rejected children using sociometric assessment and their parents(40 mothers and 40 fathers) were responded to a parental behavior questionnaire Results were as follows: 1. Compared to rejected children, popular children had fathers who participated more actively in child-rearing practices and mothers who were less overprotective in child-rearing practices. 2. Popular children had fathers who were more affectionate and more actively participated in child-rearing practices than mothers were, whereas rejected children had fathers who were more overprotective than mothers were. 3. Reasonable guidance made by parents was uniquely predictive of peer popularity, whereas parental overprotection was the best predictor for peer rejection.
