아동의 애착, 사회적 유능감, 정서조절간의 관계 (A Study on the Relationship between Attachment, Social Competence, and Emotion Regulation)

  • This study investigated the structural relationships between attachment, social competence, and emotion regulation. A survey was administered to 233 children of elementary school age(5th-6th grades) in G-city, Korea, using the IPPA-R, the Social Competence Inventory and an Emotion Regulation Scale. The collected data were then analyzed using a Canonical Correlation Analysis. First, the relationship between attachment and social competence was analyzed. The results showed that attachment and social competence have a positively correlated relationship. Peer attachments strongly affect the attributes of social competence when using a canonical variate analysis. Secondly, the relationship between attachment and emotional regulation was analyzed. The results showed that attachment and emotion regulation are also positively correlated. Maternal attachment particularly strongly affected the attributes of emotion regulation. Thirdly, the relationship between social competence and emotional regulation was analyzed. The results showed that social competence and emotional regulation have a positive relationship.

청소년의 사회적 위축, 또래관계, 우울 간의 종단적 관계 (Longitudinal Associations among Social Withdrawal, Peer Relationships, and Depression in Adolescence)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 청소년기의 사회적 위축과 또래관계, 그리고 우울 간에 어떠한 종단적 관계가 있는지 검증하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 한국아동 청소년패널조사(KCYPS) 중학교 1학년 2, 3차년도 자료에 대하여 자기회귀 교차지연모형을 구성하고 이에 대하여 구조방정식을 이용하여 실증적 검증을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 2차년도의 사회적 위축, 또래관계, 우울은 각각 3차년도의 동일한 변인에 대하여 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 2차년도의 또래관계는 3차년도의 사회적 위축과 우울에 모두 유의한 영향을 미치는 반면, 2차년도의 사회적 위축과 우울은 각각 3차년도의 또래관계에만 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이상에서 도출된 연구 결과에 근거하여 사회적 위축과 또래관계, 그리고 우울을 경험하고 있는 청소년들에 대한 예방 및 개입과 관련된 함의가 제시되었다.

편모가정 자녀의 적응에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Children's Adjustment in the Single-Mother)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the children's adjustment according to the their problems and problem solving pattern in single mother. The data of this study were abtained from 186 children of single-mother. For analysis of data, Factor analysis, t-test, One-way ANOVA, pearson's correlation, Multiple regression were used The results are as follows; 1. The children's problem are composed seven factors that are house life, emotion, school life, peer-relationships, academic achievement, finicial, future life. The family structural variables to have relationship with the children's problem are age, sex, father's absence reason, SES, mother postering attitude. 2. The mean value of children's problem solving pattern such as seeking religion support and passive appraisal was highest. The children's problem solving pattern were affected by mother's fostering attitude. 3. The inadequacy among children in single-mother was related to mother fostering attitude after father's loss, children's problem and children's problem solving pattern that emphasizes the interdependence of each element in this children's adjustment network.

다문화가정 학생들의 수학학습에 영향을 미치는 환경적 요인 연구 (Research on Environmental Factors that Affect Mathematics Learning of Students in Multicultural Families)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate environmental factors that affect mathematics learning of students in multicultural families. For this study, as study subjects, eight elementary school students and one middle school student, who were born and grew up in multicultural families in Korea due to international marriage of Korean father and foreign mother, and their five mothers were selected. To examine factors affecting mathematics learning and interests of students in multicultural families, relationships with parents, friends, and teachers were surveyed, and mathematics attitude test was performed. After conducting one on one interview based on collected questionnaires and results of the attitude test, qualitative data analysis was performed. As a result of survey and interview, positive factors affecting mathematics learning of students in multicultural families included arousing interest in mathematics through mother's mathematics teaching in her mother language and direct teaching, good peer relation, teacher's compliment and encouragement, and lowering the burden of language in accordance with characteristics of mathematics course.

사회적 관계에 따른 아동의 분배정의 추론의 발달 (Children's Distributive Justice Reasoning:The Impact of Developmental and Contextual Factors)

  • The present study was designed to assess the effect of relationship on children's distributive justice reasoning. 259 kindergarten, second-grade, and fifth-grade children were asked to allocate 9,000 Won to 3 characters under three different relationship conditions (strangers, peers, and siblings), provide rationales for those allocations, and rate the fairness of 4 different patterns of allocation. Older children were sensitive to relationship information such as allocation of more money to productive rather than to needy or older strangers, more to needy friends than to productive or older friends, and more to older than to a productive sibling. However, young children relied on only one principle, equality, across the relationship conditions. Kindergartners viewed allocations based on age entitlement as fairer than older children did, whereas both groups of older children rewarded individuals based on equality in stranger, equality and need in peer, and equality and equity in sibling relationships.

  • This study sought to investigate the aspects and other factors at work in rough and tumble play by children, through a qualitative research approach. The participants consisted of 25 5-year-old children and their teachers at A kindergarten, located in Seoul. The results of the research are as follow:(1) there are various aspects in the initiation of, development of, as well as the way children's rough and tumble play ends. (2) The factors that trigger children's rough and tumble play include : limitation and creation of toys, teacher absence, particular times throughout the day, gender awareness, peer relationships, the reactions of teachers, and social and cultural factors at work in class.

유치원에서의 감성교육 활동이 유아의 정서지능에 미치는 영향 (Activities for the Education of the Emotions : Effects on the Emotional Intelligence of Kindergarten Children)

  • An experimental group consisting of 15 boys and 13 girls, and a control group of 12 boys and 18 girls comprised the 58 five-year-old kindergarten sample of this study. Teachers measured children's emotional intelligence with the Emotional Intelligence Rating Scale(Kim, 1998); educational activities for the emotions focusing on self-awareness, self-management, self-motivation, empathy, and social skills were carried out with the experimental group. ANCOVA confirmed effectiveness of the educational activities; the experimental group had higher scores than the control group on self-awareness and expression of emotion, emotional regulation, and awareness of others' emotion. Children of the experimental group also showed higher interpersonal abilities in teacher and in peer relationships than the control group.

Exploring directions for intercultural citizenship education in Korean language education for social well-being

  • The purpose of this study is to explore directions for achieving therapeutic and social well-being effects through intercultural citizenship education in language classrooms. To accomplish this, we first clarified the concepts of education as healing, social well-being, and intercultural citizenship education. Subsequently, through the analysis of reflective journals on the writing and peer review processes written by university students, we discovered manifestations of key concepts of intercultural citizenship, such as empathy, recognition, connection, discovery of new knowledge, and attitude change. Based on these insights, we proposed the perspective that addressing the concept of intercultural citizenship in Korean language education can be beneficial for language education as a form of healing and for social well-being. Furthermore, we suggested that future language education should evolve from instruction focused on the interpretation of symbols and functional proficiency to practices that empower learners as members of global society, allowing them to assign value to their lives and build healthy relationships with others.

A Study on the Psychological Healing Effects of Korean Learners through K-POP Club Activities

  • This study aims to identify the positive effects of psychological healing in Korean language learners through participating in K-POP club activities. As the reasons for learning Korean are becoming more diverse, the learner-centered education is gaining much attention. We conducted real-time classes and surveys to verify if participating in the K-POP club activities brings more positive impacts in learning Korean. The survey results indicated that not only the participants felt psychological stability through club activities, it also improved their peer relationships among the learners and it enhanced their Korean language skills. Additionally, the learners felt a strong desire to recommend the club activities to other learners. The study confirmed that club activities have a positive effect on Korean language learners.

전통춤프로그램이 가정위탁아동의 대인관계향상에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Traditional Dance Program on the Improvement of Interpersonal Relationships of Foster Care Children)

  • 가정위탁제도는 일반적으로 친부모로부터 적절한 보호와 보살핌을 받을 수 없는 아동이 위탁가정에서 친부모를 대신하여 규정된 시간 안에 계획 하에 구성된 필요한 보호를 받으면서 가정의 기능을 보완하는 사회복지서비스이다. 위탁보호아동들이 겪게 되는 정서적 어려움 중 큰 부분은 대인관계 부적응이다. 긍정적이지 못한 대인관계로 인해 낮은 자아존중감이 나타나며, 사회적 관계형성에 어려움을 겪게 된다. 따라서 본 연구는 대전광역시에 거주하는 위탁아동들을 대상으로 전통춤 프로그램을 통해 가정위탁아동의 대인관계를 향상 시키며 이를 통한 대인관계 효과를 검증하여 전통춤프로그램이 대인관계프로그램으로 활용될 수 있는 기초자료를 마련하는데 목적이 있다. 전통춤프로그램을 통해 참여 아동들의 대인관계에 대한 사전 점수와 사후 점수를 비교해 본 결과, 프로그램 후 대인관계 점수가 상승하였다. 아동간의 친밀감 형성 및 의사소통 등이 향상됨을 볼 수 있었다. 참가자들은 초기에는 프로그램에 적극성이 떨어졌으나 프로그램 중반으로 갈수록 흥미를 느끼고 적극적인 모습이 자주 관찰 되었다. 대부분의 참여자들이 프로그램 중반부로 갈수록 친밀감이 형성되면서 의사소통 횟수가 증가 하였으며, 또래 관계에 있어서 자신감이 향상 되는 모습을 보였다. 본 연구는 전통춤을 활용한 대인관계 향상에 대한 기초연구로 추후연구에서는 다양한 내용으로 구성된 전통춤프로그램을 장기간에 걸쳐 적용함으로서 가정위탁아동의 정서적, 사회적, 문화적 등 다양한 영역에서의 대인관계능력이 향상 될 수 있는 기회가 되도록 해야 할 것이다.
