Recently, the number of students to choose to study in Australia has been increasing significantly. The purpose of this study is to examine how Korean primary school children perceive their own English language learning and cultural adaptation in Australia. A questionnaire survey was conducted with 34 Korean children aged 8-13 who were attending primary schools in Brisbane, Queensland. The study results show that they made diverse efforts to learn English language and culture in Australia, such as making English-speaking friends, watching TV/video/DVD, reading English books, and studying with a foreign tutor. Their English listening and writing abilities were thought to be improved most, followed by speaking, reading and cultural understanding after studying in Australia. The subjects were mostly satisfied with their study and life in Australia but they had difficulties with communicating in English, homesickness, foods, weather, insects, and discrimination. In particular, they had problems with understanding classes conducted all in English and participating in the classroom activities due to their low level of English ability and understanding of Australian classroom culture. The findings of this study have pedagogical implications for educators both in Australia and Korea.

In this study, we investigate the latus rectum, one of the geometric measures of the conics, as one of the ways in which learners harmonize the geometric and algebraic approaches to conics from a pedagogical point of view. We also introduce the conical curve of Biot as presented in 'The Discourse on the Latus Rectum in conics(2013)' by Takeshi Sugimoto and reinterpret it for visualization and use as teaching material. Therefore, we expect that the importance of mathematical concepts will be recognized in conics and students can experience geometry learning that is explored in the school field and have a positive effect in developing the power to apply even in the context of applied problems.

In spite of important researches and translational works of the Joseon mathematical treatises in the 80's and on, these results were almost out of reach to the school teachers as well as students due to the antiquity of their contents and the terms used. In order to make our traditional mathematics approachable to the middle and high school students, it will be educationally meaningful to reinterpret them tuned at the student's level using modern terminology and symbols. In this study, we reinterpreted 9 problems from Cheukryang Dohae, which is one of the representative mathematical books of Joseon Dynasty. We used the terminology and symbols from the school curriculum. We also reconstructed two of them using modern metrologies adapted to modern situations adding illustrations and photos, so that they are useful at the teaching site.

Emthusiasm about the introduction of computers into mathematics education is widespred. But, the perspectives about the relationship between mathematics education and computer are diverse. The purpose of this study is to examine theoretical background for using computers in mathematics education. In spite of the pedagogical possibilities of computers. only a small minority of mathematics teachers are using computers in mathematics classroom. It is natural to seek this obstacles within theoretical background of the teachers who manage computers, In this study, We discuss the problems in the two sides. First, due to increased computer activity, relationship of mathematics in school with mathematics in society is changing. It is tension between academic mathematics and practical mathematics. School mathematics have to be changed toward stressing practical mathematics. Second problem is the dialectical relationship between the individual and the collective. While maintaining a respect for the individuality of student contributions. We take into account the social dimension of mathematical meaning-making. We discussed theoretical clarification of work collaborative learning. We propose the case study for the roles of computer in collaborative mathematics learning.

As intuition is more unreliable than logic or reason, its studies in mathematics and mathematics education have not been done that much. But it has played an important role in the invention and development of mathematics with logic. So, it is necessary to recognize and explore the value of intuition in mathematics education. In this paper, I investigate the function and role of intuition in terms of mathematical learning and problem solving. Especially, I discuss the positive and negative aspects of intuition with its characters. The intuitive acceptance is decided by self-evidence and confidence. In relation to the intuitive acceptance, it is discussed about the pedagogical problems and the role of intuitive thinking in terms of creative problem solving perspectives. Intuition is recognized as an innate ability that all people have. So, we have to concentrate on the mathematics education via intuition and the complementary between intuition and logic. For further research, I suggest the studies for the mathematics education via intuition for students' mathematical development.

The article is devoted to the consideration of the methodological and general theoretical foundations of a rational methodology for teaching foreign language communicative competence of students of a non-linguistic university. The analysis of the vectors of research of problems of increasing the efficiency of the process of mastering foreign language communicative competence of non-linguistic students is presented. As a methodological basis for a rational methodology for teaching a foreign language communicative competence, the key aspects of the philosophy of rationality are considered, the basic principles of a rational methodology are formulated, linguo-didactic means of its implementation are determined, indicators of rationality are identified.

The article analyzes the theoretical aspects of the relationship between the right to medical secrecy and the employer's right to receive information on the employee's state of health, resulting in a more complete description of the implementation of the right to medical secrecy and the employer's right to information on the employee's health state and the possibilities of protecting violated rights. The limits of permissible restrictions on the right to secrecy of health in terms of ensuring the person's performance of their job function have been clarified.

The article reveals the essence of cyber socialization influencing the process of education and development. The general and potential possibilities of cyber socialization in the process of using the cyberspace of the Internet environment are presented. The sudden transition to distance learning in the spring of 2020 put the pedagogical community in the face of problems related to the content, organizational and methodological basis of the educational process. During the training in distance mode, a rich experience was gained in the use of information and communication technologies. The article discusses the techniques and methods of teaching using the capabilities of information and communication and digital technologies.

The purpose of the article is to analyze students' self-assessment of the level of soft skills development and the prospects for its improvement in a pandemic. For an adequate and objective study of the stated issues, comparative analysis was most often used. For this purpose, theoretical studies of national and foreign experts were analyzed, which included specific sociological surveys. Prospects for further work are assumed in a detailed study of the factors, conditions and mechanisms for the formation and development of soft skills in students of natural, engineering and technological, medical, social and humanitarian specialties.
