Pechini법에 의한 Y-doped SrTiO3 분말의 합성 (Synthesis and Characterization of Y-doped SrTiO3 Powder by Pechini Method)

  • 8 mol% Y-doped $SrTiO_3$ powder was synthesized by Pechini method from titanium isopropoxide, strontium nitrate, yttrium nitrate, citric acid and ethylene glycol. A $Y_2Ti_2O_7$ pyrochlore phase-free perovskite powder was obtained by calcining a polymeric resin, which was prepared from a precursor solution, at $500^{\circ}C$ in an air atmosphere. Low temperature calcination could lead to a fine-grained microstructure. In the case of a solid-state reaction, an extended heat-treatment at high temperature in a reduced atmosphere needed to obtain a single phase perovskite $SrTiO_3$.

  • Europium-activated $Ga_2$$O_3$ phosphor powders were prepared by Pechini method from the mixed aqueous solutions of gallium(III) nitrate, europium(III) nitrate, ethylene glycol and citric acid. The phase formation process and particle shape of the powders obtained were investigated by means of TG/DTA, XRD and SEM. It was found that the powders were amorphous or ${\gamma}$-$Ga_2$$O_3$-like phase up to $500^{\circ}C$ and then transformed into $\beta$- $Ga_2$$O_3$ phase above $600 ^{\circ}C$. The powders calcined below $1000^{\circ}C$ were spherical and nanometer-sized. Photoluminescence spectra measured at room temperature showed that the highest luminescence intensity was obtained for the sample synthesized under the conditions of 2 mol% Eu concentration and heat treatment at $1000^{\circ}C$.

  • Europium-activated Ga$_2$O$_3$powders were prepared by modified "Pechini method" from mixed aqueous solutions of gallium nitrate, europium nitrate, ethylene glycol and citric acid. The formation process and structure of the phosphor powders were investigated by means of TG/DTA, XRD and SEM. It has been found that the phosphor powders were amorphous up to 50$0^{\circ}C$ and changed into crystalline $\beta$-Ga$_2$O$_3$phase above $600^{\circ}C$. The resulting nano-sized powders were obtained. Red luminescence in emission spectra were observed at room temperature.

  • $Y_{2-x}Gd_xO_3:Eu$, phosphors for plasma display panel(PDP), were prepared by Pechini method which use yttriun chloride, gadolinium chloride, and europium oxide as starting materials. This method is a different way to the synthesis of europium(Eu)-doped phosphors, and it consists of the formation of a polymeric resin obtained by polyesterification between metal chelate compounds and a polyfunctional alcohol. This needs lower temperature than solid-state synthetic method. The prepared $Y_{2-x}Gd_xO_3:Eu$ phosphor particles had spherical shape and coherence. The luminescence intensity of $Y_{2-x}Gd_xO_3:Eu$ phosphor particles increased according to the increase of gadolinium(Gd) content(to 0.8mol%), and $Y_{1.2}Gd_{0.8}O_3:Eu$ phosphors had the highest luminescence intensity under vacuum ultra violet(VUV) excitation. The optimum concentration of Eu in the phosphor and optimum calcination temperature was 3wt% and $1100^{\circ}C$. The prepared phosphors were consist of particle, and its size was between 100nm and 150nm. Among the different polyfunctional alcohols, diethylene glycol(DEG) improved the luminescence intensities of phosphors more than other additives. The Pechini method proved that it is demonstrated to be suitable for the synthesis of phosphors used in PDP.

  • Molybdenum-tungsten (Mo-W) alloy sputtering targets are widely utilized in fields like electronics, nanotechnology, sensors, and as gate electrodes for TFT-LCDs, owing to their superior properties such as high-temperature stability, low thermal expansion coefficient, electrical conductivity, and corrosion resistance. To achieve optimal performance in application, these targets' purity, relative density, and grain size of these targets must becarefully controlled. We utilized nanopowders, prepared via the Pechini method, to obtain uniform and fine powders, then carried out spark plasma sintering (SPS) to densify these powders. Our studies revealed that the sintered compacts made from these nanopowders exhibited outstanding features, such as a high relative density of more than 99%, consistent grain size of 3.43 ㎛, and shape, absence of preferred orientation.

  • Pechini방법으로 제조한 La$_{0.8}$Ca$_{0.2}$CrO$_3$CLC소결체와 La$_{0.8}$Ca$_{0.2}$CrO$_3$CLC-Green체를 YSZ에 적층한 후 온도의 함수로 계면에서의 미세구조와 성분이동 등의 거동을 고찰하였다. CLC-G/CLC와 CLC/YSZ계면에서의 CLC면은 반응온도에 상관없이 XRD 관찰에서 주상은 La$_{1-x}$ Ca$_{x}$CrO$_3$그리고 CLC와 반응하지 않은 YSZ면의 결정 상은 cubic-ZrO$_2$으로 각각 나타났다. CLC/YSZ반응 계면의 성분이동은 Zr > La>>Cr>>>Ca 순이었으며, 온도에 따른 개개 성분의 이동도 차이는 크지 않았다. CLC/YSZ계면간의 결합은 계면성분간의 과다한 성분이동 없이 현 연구의 온도전체에 걸쳐 가능한 것으로 나타났다. CLC-G/CLC간의 SEM미세구조는 결합 면을 경계로 저온에서는 결정의 입자크기 차이를 보이다가 온도가 증가할수록 균일화되는 경향을 보였다.였다. 보였다.였다.

Sol-gel법에의한 BiDy-철 석류석의 합성 (The Growth of Magnetic DyBiIG by sol-gel Method)

  • D $y_{x}$B $i_{3-x}$F $e_{5}$ $O_{12}$(x=0.5,1.0,1.5,2.0) 가네트 박막을 sol-gel법의 일종인 Pechini법의 이용하여 $Al_2$ $O_3$, G $d_3$G $a_{5}$ $O_{12}$ (111) 평면에 성장시켰다. 단일 조성의 D $y_{x}$B $i_{3-x}$F $e_{5}$ $O_{12}$ 박막을 얻기 위한 열처리 온도는 기판의 종류에 의존하며, 박막과 같은 구조의 G $d_3$G $a_{5}$ $O_{12}$ (111) 기판의 경우 A1$_2$ $O_3$ 기판을 사용한 경우에 비해 단일 조성을 얻기 위한 열처리 온도가 약 5$0^{\circ}C$ 감소함을 알 수 있었다. G $d_3$G $a_{5}$ $O_{12}$ (111) 기판 위에 성장된 가네트 박막의 낟알들은 대부분 기판과 같은 [111] 방향으로 정렬하며, 이 경우 박막의 자기 이력 곡선은 5000 Oe 이상에서도 포화 자기화에 도달하지 못하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 현상의 원인으로 회전 자기화 과정 (rotation magnetization process)에 의한 것으로 추정하였다. Pechini 법으로 성장시킨 D $y_{x}$B $i_{3-x}$F $e_{5}$ $O_{12}$ 박막에서 단위 세포 당 최대 Bi 이온의 양은 2.0 이하임을 처음으로 확인하였고, 이는 LPE법에 의해 성장된 단결정 가네트의 경우에 알려진 최대 Bi이온의 양 2.3보다 작은 값이다.에 알려진 최대 Bi이온의 양 2.3보다 작은 값이다.은 값이다.
