Synthesis of kaolinite by hydrothermal reaction using pseudoboehmite as starting material (Pseudoboehmite를 출발물질로한 kaolinite의 수열 합성)

  • Kaolinite was synthesized through th acid treatment of mixture which consisted of psudoboehmite and colloidal silica in hydrothermal reaction at $213^{\circ}C$ under autogeneous vapor pressure. Crystallization process was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction pattern, IR spectra and Hinckley index was calculated. The synthesis in acidic solution promotes the dissolution of the starting materials and leads to crystallization of kaolinite. The rate of crystallization to kaolinite and stacking defect were found to e affected by kind of anion, acidity and starting materials.

  • 컴퓨터에서 사용되는 2D 이미지는 크게 비트맵과 벡터의 두 가지 표현 방식이 존재한다. 일반적으로 사용되는 이미지와 텍스처는 대부분 비트맵을 기반으로 하고 있으며, 이에 따라 많은 텍스처 합성에 관한 연구 또한 비트맵 기반으로만 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 일부 분야들에서는 몇 가지 단점에도 불구하고 벡터 형식의 이미지를 선호하고 있으며, 비트맵이 가지지 못한 장점들과 현재의 충분한 컴퓨터 연산 능력을 고려해 볼 때 벡터 이미지의 필요성과 활용분야는 앞으로도 늘어날 것이라 생각된다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 벡터 형식으로 주어진 텍스처 패턴을 분석, 합성하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 입력 받는 벡터 이미지는 몇 가지의 속성을 지닌 스트로크(Stroke)들의 집합으로서, 각각의 스트로크는 비트맵에서의 픽셀과 같이 기본적인 분석과 합성의 단위가 된다.

  • Osteoporosis is usually considered a disease of older women reported the rate, pattern and determinants of bone loss, far less information is available for men although it is also common in men [1,2]. The three major causes of osteoporosis in men are excessive alcohol intake, long-term glucocorticoid therapy, and hypogonadism [3,4]. In process of bone resorption, type I collagen crosslinking molecules, pyridinoline (PYD) are released into the circulation and cleared by the kidney. $^2$H$_2$O as a tracer has been applied to measure synthesis rates of slow-turnover proteins and successfully applied to bone collagen synthesis, skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle in rat. The objective of this study was to examine osteoporosis and alcohol-induced changes of femur and liver in post-menopausal males using the developed method. (omitted)

  • In this study, the solution of Gel'fand-Levitan-Marchenko integral equation in the inverse scattering problem is efficiently solved for arbitrarily specified spectra pattern which are reflected from the restricted potential. The procedure is based on the successive approach without iterations. This method lessens the truncation errors which plague conventional design schemes using specific windows for reflection coefficients. It is shown that the method is adequate for the synthesis of the continuously varying one-dimensional potential of the nonuniformly distributed dielectric constants.

  • The PLL synthesizer is used often in communication system due to several merits, such as broad bandwidth, high accuracy and stability of frequency. But it is difficult to use in torrent digital communication systems that need frequency hopping at a high speed because of its long frequency hopping time. In this paper, we designed frequency synthesizer that generate the clock frequency randomly at a high speed using the DDS technology and is applied to the pattern generator system for digital image.

Changes in RNA Synthesis During Male Gametogenesis of Brassica napus (유채의 웅성배우체 발생 중 RNA 합성의 변화)

  • The pattern of RNA synthesis during male gametogenesis of Brassica napus was studied using 3H-uridine autoradiography. No incorporation of isotope occurred in the newly released microspore and the nonvacuolate, furrowed microspore. Peak incorporation of label during male gametogenesis occurred in the uninucleate, furrowed microspores showing various degrees of vacuolation. In this microspore stage, silver grains were localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Moderate incorporation of the isotope occurred in the nulceus of the vacuolated microspore. After the microspore mitosis, isotope incorporation occurred predominantly in the nucleus of the vegetative cell with little or no incorporation in the generative cell. In tricellular pollen, no incorporation of isotope was observed in both the vegetative nucleus and the sperms. Silver grains almost completely disappeared from tricellular mature pollen grains ready to germinate.

Real-time Virtual-viewpoint Image Synthesis Algorithm Using Kinect Camera

  • Kinect is a motion sensing camera released by Microsoft in November 2010 for the Xbox360 that is used to produce depth and color images. Because Kinect uses an infrared pattern, it generates holes and noises around an object's boundaries in the obtained images. The flickering phenomenon and unmatched edges also occur. In this paper, we propose a real time virtual-view video synthesis algorithm which results in a high quality virtual view by solving these problems stated above. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm performs much better than the conventional algorithms.

  • To meet the requirements of various satellite synthetic aperture radar(SAR) system performance parameters, the characteristics of the antenna pattern should be analyzed. In this paper, we propose a method to improve the SAR system performance using an effective technique for optimizing antenna pattern synthesis in the presence of element failure. The desired antenna pattern can be synthesized by referring to the optimized antenna mask templates using the particle swarm optimization algorithm. In the simulation, the performance of the proposed method is verified by analyzing characteristics related to the SAR system performance parameters using antenna pattern regeneration.

  • This paper designs an application for detecting various objects using a smart phone with camera sensor, then implements the application that detects the number of faces in front of a user by using the Face API provided by android and generates a speech to the user. For implementing the application, the GoF strategy pattern is applied to design the application. It provides some advantages; first, the algorithm development schedule can separate the whole application development schedule; next, it makes easier to add the algorithm. For example, another detecting algorithm for the other objects (character, motion detection) that may be developed in the future, or it may be replaced by a more high-performance algorithm. With the propose method, a general smart phone can make some advantages that can provide information of various objects (such as moving people and objects, and detected character from signboards) to the person who is visually impaired.

  • In this paper, we propose a broadband beamforming method using the Spatial Response Variation (SRV) which is defined to measure the fluctuation of the array spatial response within the desired frequency band. By applying the SRV to regularization term, we achieve a good quality main beam width variation less than 1 degree within the desired frequency band. In design experiments, we show that the proposed method is better than the existing method.
