We experienced an extremely rare case of lipoid pneumonia combined with empyema. A 53-year-old patient was admitted because of chilling sensation and blood tinged sputum. Simple X-ray and computered tomography(CT) showed a huge homogeneous opacification in the left lower lung field. This patient was diagnosed as endogenous type lipoid pneumonia by a computed tomography guided needle biopsy; decortication and left lower lobectomy are performed. We diagnosed it as endogenous type lipoid pneumonia because it revealed a foreign body reaction and lipid laden macrophage on the pathologic examination.

We report a patient with an anterior dislocation of the shoulder with uncommon bucket handle type fracture of the anterior glenoid fossa with intact glenoid labrum. The fracture fragment was displaced into the posterior aspect of the glenohumeral joint resulting in prevention of reduction of the shoulder. Excellent fixation was obtained with suture anchors and bioabsorbable interfragmentary screws. This allowed stable range of motion exercises, optimizing the patient's functional outcome.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to report a Atopic dematitis patient treated by Horminis Placenta external wet therapy. Methods The patient was treated by acupuncture, herb medicine, especially Horminis Placenta external therapy. Kunz type, SCORAD index and Vas scale were used to measure the progression. Results and Conclusions We had evaluated the score during admission. SCORAD index include the extent, the intensity, pruritus, sleeping loss had increased from 52.88 score to 21.26 score. And the symptoms had improved with treatment.

This study is about efficiency export and import of medical images According to the Type of Compression. PACS to be used in many hospitals and medical images export is growing more and more because cheaper and good usability than film system. Thereby export department takes a lot of time, which may cause the patient discomfort. Compression images takes less time for images export, import than nocompression images. therefore, if no significant problems clinicians to view the images, this is one method to compressed images export for reduce the time and it will provide less cost and shorter time for patient.

A new type of the Expanded Knee brace was developed to measure the human knee joint. This instrument was composed of six parts, four arranged for two hinge joints and two pin joint , and two hinge for the expanded system. With a developed instrument, the experimental results obtained the data of Accelerometer, the experimental results obtained of the data FEM, the experimental results obtained the data of Motion Analysis and Force platform. Compared to earlier developed sports type knee brace, new instrument shows its convenience in application and accuracy in measurement.

Presurgical prosthetic treatment planning is critical for the success of the implant prosthesis. Inadequate treatment plan, due to insufficient discussion between prosthodontist, and surgeon, may result in poor prognosis. A 26-year-old male patient was referred for prosthodontic treatment after implant was placed in the area of teeth #17,16, 22, 25 and 27, without adequate discussion nor the treatment planning between oral surgeon and prosthodontist. It was found that the patient had two hopeless teeth, and a severely resorbed alveolar ridge. Additional tooth extraction was needed and the type of definitive prosthesis was shifted from fixed type to removable one. Proper pre-surgical treatment planning is essential for the good prognosis. Implant-supported removable prosthesis on milled bars may be a useful treatment option in patients with incorrect angled placement on severely resorbed alveolar ridge.

Colonic atresia is the least common form of intestinal atresia. Colonic atresia, like jejunoileal atresia, mostly occurs as a result of an intrauterine vascular accident. According to Sutton's classification, type 1 colonic atresia exibits external continuity with an intraluminal diaphragm(colonic web) which may be imperforate or perforate. Authors experienced a case of colonic web associated with imperforate anus. The patient was treated under the impression of the high type imperforate anus. Posterior sagittal anorectoplasty at the age of 9 months revealed normal anorectal canal. At the age of 12 months, colostomy was repaired. Thereafter abdominal distension was developed. Barium enema noted a membranous obstruction of the colon on the level of the rectosigmoid junction. After exicision of the colonic web, the patient was discharged with no problem.

Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) is rare, accounting for 5-10% of all soft tissue sarcomas. MPNST is characteristically aggressive and has a poor prognosis. Fifty percent of patients with MPNST have neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). NF-associated MPNST occurs more often at younger ages than sporadic MPNST, but the survival difference is controversial. Superficial MPNST from a recurrent neurofibroma is extremely rare and only a limited number of cases have been reported in the literature. Herein, we report an unusual case of superficial MPNST from a recurrent neurofibroma in a patient without NF1.

Surgical septal myectomy is the preferred treatment option for patients with medically intractable obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Extended transaortic septal myectomy is a widely performed surgical procedure for patients with subaortic obstruction. The transapical approach may provide an alternative surgical option in less common phenotypes, such as apical hypertrophy or long-segmental septal hypertrophy. In this report, we describe a case of a procedure performed to achieve left ventricular enlargement procedure using a combined transaortic and transapical dual approach in a patient with diffuse-type hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with apical aneurysm and mid-cavity obstruction.

Currently, the literature contains few studies that describe any potential complications following arthroscopic acromioplasty. Because part of the anterior deltoid originates from the anterior acromion, there is a risk for violation and subsequent iatrogenic rupture or avulsion during this procedure. This type of injury can be a devastating problem for patients that may lead to poor function and debilitating pain. We present a patient with deltoid insufficiency following arthroscopic acromioplasty who elected to proceed with operative management with a planned arthroscopic evaluation of the shoulder followed by an open deltoid repair. At the final follow-up visit 2.5 years postoperatively, the patient reported improved pain from baseline and no residual disability and was able to perform most activities of daily living without difficulty. This case serves as an example of a surgical repair for a deltoid avulsion following arthroscopic acromioplasty. As there is still a lack of standard guidelines, our suture repair technique can be considered one method of treatment for this type of injury.
