A 55-year old woman with advanced stage non-small cell lung cancer was admitted to hospital for the management of severe chest pain, which measured 7 out of 10 on a numerical rating scale (NRS). Despite palliative radiation and the application of multiple epidural blocks, she continued to experience severe cancer pain. We gradually increased the dose of transdermal fentanyl patches from $500{\mu}g/hr$ to $3,650{\mu}g/hr$, for 3 months without any significant side effects. Concomitantly, adjuvant therapy with antidepressants and anticonvulsants were added, decreasing the patient's pain to NRS 3~4 down from 7. After being transferred to a hospice clinic, her chest pain was well-controlled below NRS 4 by means of strong opioid medications, including the highest dose of transdermal fentanyl $4,050{\mu}g/hr$ for more than 16 months.

본 연구에서는 게임콘텐츠의 저작권 보호, 유통 및 관리의 효율화를 제공해 게임산업을 활성화하는데 중요한 역할을 하는 게임 UCI 식별 메타데이터를 설계하였다. 설계 방법은 호환성을 위하여 국제표준인 메타데이터 매핑절차를 따랐다. 따라서 기존 9개의 요소로 구성되어 있는 UCI 메타데이터에 게임의 특성을 반영하여 3개 요소는 재정의하고, date, patch date, grade의 3개 요소는 추가하였다. 이렇게 설계된 게임 UCI 식별 메타데이터는 총 12개의 요소로 구성된다. 이 결과를 전문가 인터뷰와 일반 이용자 설문을 통해 검증하였다. 향후 본 연구의 결과를 게임 UCI 식별 메타데이터 관리 시스템으로 구축하여 여러 기관들이 활용할 수 있도록 발전시키고자 한다.

최근 건강관리 및 심장질환 관리 등에 대한 관심이 증가하면서 유비쿼터스 헬스케어 서비스와 관련 기기에 대한 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 패치형 심전도 측정기기와 연동된 스마트폰으로 구성된 모바일 헬스케어 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 시스템은 실시간으로 심전도, 맥박, 스트레스 지수를 모니터링하고 저장 및 전송하는 기능과 심박 수에 따른 건강관리 기능 등을 제공한다. 이처럼 웨어러블 생체신호 측정 장치와 연동된 모바일 헬스케어 시스템을 통해 생체 신호를 지속적으로 모니터링함으로써 사용자는 만성질환을 예방하고 꾸준히 건강을 유지할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 실제 플랫폼에 탑재되어 구현된 결과를 보여준다.

최근 윈도우의 취약점을 이용하는 웜 및 바이러스로 인한 정보시스템과 네트워크에 대한 피해가 급속히 증가하고 있다. 윈도우의 취약점을 이용한 공격에 대한 해결방법은 해당 취약점은 적시에 신속하게 패치를 설치하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 패치관리시스템이 관리자의 개입을 요구하기 때문에 패치를 신속하게 적용할 수 없는 단점을 보완하여, XML 기술을 기반으로 MS 다운로드 센터에서 패치를 자동으로 다운받아 클라이언트까지 자동으로 보안패치파일을 설치하는 보안패치 자동관리 시스템을 제안한다.

The vegetation of the Khogno Khan Natural Reserve of the central Mongolia was studied in terms of the Zurich-Montpellier School's method. Twenty plant communities were identified from the three different landscape types such as mountain areas(63%), plains(32%), and wetlands(5%). Actual vegetation map using five vegetation domains was accomplished in order to understand the spatial distribution of regional vegetation. Steppe vegetation of 88% vegetation cover to the whole area is representative, which is composed of a matrix of landscape. The birch-aspen forests and the elm bush forests are relics as a patch distribution. It is recognized that the whole territory of protected area be under the effects of severe grazing from the phytosociological viewpoint.

Aneurysm of the sinus of Valsalva is an uncommon cardiac anomaly, usually congenital in origin, which may occur as an isolated defect or in conjunction with other cardiac malformation. This report is a case of a ruptured sinus of Valsalva aneurysm with ventricular septal defect in a 18-year-old female patient who complained progressive exertional dyspnea. She underwent operative management using total cardiopulmonary bypass. The fistula originated from the right coronary sinus and ruptured into the right ventricle and coexistent lesion was supracristal ventricular septal defect. The repair was done through aortic and right ventricular approach. The ruptured sinus of Valsalva was closed with pledget suture and the ventricular septal defect was closed with patch. The postoperative result was good.

심근경색 후 좌심실 후방 기저부에 생기는 좌심실류는 생각보다 발생 빈도는 높음에도 불구하고 외과적 치료에 대한 보고는 심첨부에 생기는 좌심실류에 비교할 때 극히 적은 실정인데, 이는 수술이 용이하지 않으며 수술 후 결과가 예측하기 어렵다는데 그 원인을 찾을 수 있겠다. 금번 저자들은 심근경색 후 좌심실 후방기저부에 생긴 좌심실류 1례에서 심실내 원형첨보성형술을 시행하여 만족스러운 결과를 얻었기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하고자 한다.

In this pilot dual-site study with LifeWave IceWave$^{(R)}$ patches, using subjects as their own controls, data were acquired from a convenience sample of 16 males and 24 females, 50% Caucasian-Americans, 50% Hispanic-Americans, ages 20 - 85 with neuromuscular pain. The hypothesis was: the application of IceWave$^{(R)}$ patches to the skin will reduce one's perception of pain. Subjects were tested at baseline (without any patches), and then at 1 and 3 h on day 1 and at 1 h on days 2 - 5 after patch application. At every time point, the mean change, indicative of one's perception of pain, was highly significantly (p < 0.0001) reduced, with a statistical power of 100% compared to baseline. Based on these findings, the hypothesis was accepted as true.

A case of delayed progressive extradural pneumatocele after microvascular decompression (MVD) is presented. A 60-year-old male underwent MVD for hemifacial spasm; the mastoid air cell was opened and sealed with bone wax during surgery. One month after surgery, the patient complained of tinnitus, and progressive extradural pneumatoceles without cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leakage was observed. Revision surgery was performed and the opened mastoid air cell was completely sealed with muscle patch and glue. The patient's symptoms were resolved, with no recurrence of pneumatoceles at 6 month follow up. Progressive extradural pneumatocele without CSF leakage after posterior fossa surgery is a very rare complication. Previous reports and surgical management of this rare complication are discussed.

본 논문에서는 리눅스 환경하에서 원격 업데이트 서버에 있는 LSB(Linux Standard Base)를 기반으로 국내 표준 리눅스 플랫폼으로 개발된 부요(Booyo)리눅스에 RPM 패키지 또는 보안 패치들을 데스크 탑에 자동으로 설치하게 해주는 클라이언트용 자동 업데이트 프로그램으로 아비지를 구현하였다. 아비지는 부요 환경에서 SW패치 업데이트를 지원하는 한국형 GUI 프로그램으로 클라이언트가 패키지 관리 또는 보안 패치 작업을 쉽게 수행할 수 있도록 한다.
