Shape Optimization Technique for Thin Walled Beam of Automotive Structures Considering Vibration

  • In this paper, an optimization technique for thin walled beams of vehicle body structure is proposed. Stiffness of thin walled beam structure is characterized by the thickness and typical section shape of the beam structure. Approximate functions for the section properties such as area, area moment of inertia, and torsional constant are derived by using the response surface method. The approximate functions can be used for the optimal design of the vehicle body that consists of complicated thin walled beams. A passenger car body structure is optimized to demonstrate the proposed technique.

  • AHSS (Advanced High Strength Steels) has been increasingly employed by global automotive OEMs in order to satisfy strengthened regulations and reduce weight for fuel efficiency. Hot stamping using boron steels in AHSS increases not only formability but also strength. The typical hot-stamped automotive part is the center pillar that is critical for vehicle side impact. However, the hot-stamped part can be risky for the passenger safety caused by brittle fracture under a vehicle collision. The high power diode laser is suitable for the heat treatment giving AHSS increased elongation that prevents brittle fracture in car crash. Therefore, local softening by laser heat treatment for energy absorption area on the hot-stamped part improves crash-worthiness.

  • Recently, Most of diverse noise of vehicles has decreased competitively according to development of the automotive manufacturing technology. Especially, Passenger car manufacturers has been conducting buzz, squeak and rattle(BSR) noise test as a method of the noise evaluation tests to reduce an unpleasant sound from interior parts on the driving the car. The purpose of this paper is to confirm the change of the noise generated in the product after the reliability evaluation. Here by the BSR test procedure used the test regulation of 'G' company.

  • Recently, Most of diverse noise of vehicles has decreased competitively according to development of the automotive manufacturing technology. Especially, Passenger car manufacturers has been conducting buzz, squeak and rattle(BSR) noise test as a method of the noise evaluation tests to reduce an unpleasant sound from interior parts on the driving the car. This paper suggest a evaluation method for detecting position of noise source from measured noise signals of vehicle seats during random excitation BSR test. Hereby the BSR test procedure used the test regulation of 'G' company. The detection of noise source positions used the Sound image equipment. Through suggested the test method on this paper, an accurate analysis of noise source occurred in the BSR test will be possible.

  • Electronic throttle control(ETC) is critical to drive ability, fuel economy and emission performance of present day passenger vehicles. Until now, many automobile engineer and company have been development electronic throttle controller and control algorism, such as adaptive control, sliding control, nonlinear and so on. But there are almost electronic throttle control using DC motor or stepping motor. This paper is the design of an electronic throttle controller and electronic throttle valve control using BLDC motor instead of DC motor.

  • The government makes an effort to disperse the centralization of Seoul through the its surroundings development for relieving the various social problems caused by the capital region concentration. But, the planless development of rail system in the capital region have made it difficult to approach into Seoul city center from its surroundings. Through Seoul metro line 9, constructed by private company first in Korea, that has operation plan with normal and express train together, we would like to study up on promotion of passenger service quality such as "the improvement of the accessibility to Seoul city center from its surroundings" and "service of various pattern of trains"

  • The station area development planed to improve the old and narrowed station and to enhance the train passenger's convenience through private capital attraction in the past. But it has been faced with difficulty for the creative of transfer demand. Because of lean upon building facilities were caused by shortage of business profitability as to development of the upside a railway line, and lack of public utilities. The station area development requires that it's trend to large scale development of station areas, korail's direct development, deputation of specialty company to development, collaboration between local government and korail in development, diversification of process & installed facility, building multi-transfer center and one-stop transfer system. This trend caused by low profitability in development of the upside a railway line. The purposes of study are to make the system and law reflected to the property of station area development, investment in kind of needed land, and change railroad areas to high-rise and complex development, and make a forum between government and korail, etc.

  • Recently, it has been trending toward speed-up not only in the passenger car but in the freight car. In this paper, the trend of the market demand for the technology of railway freight cars and the development direction of other country or company were studied by analysing the patent map. The effort for developing the technology is it seems to be more strengthened especially in the parts of bogie, brake, suspension. The increasing rate of the number of patent application from the United States of America is noticeable. The results of this paper can be used for making the development plans of competitive technologies and benchmarking of them.

  • 한국철도의 객차 유지보수 체계는 기본적으로 주행거리를 충족하거나 주기가 도래함에 따라 중정비를 시행한다.(ex. 1년, 2년) 이 체계는 증기기관차를 운영하던 철도운영 초기부터 KTX, KTX-산천, 간선형전기동차를 운영하고 있는 지금까지 이어져 왔다. 차량이 현대화 됨과 동시에 예방검사에 필요한 주행거리와 주기 또한 늘어났으나 기본적인 차량의 유지보수 체계는 과거와 다르지 않다. 차량의 성능이 향상되었음에도 불구하고 과거와 같은 검수체계가 현재에도 동일하게 적용되는것이 적절한가에 대해 다방면으로 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국철도공사에서 관리, 기록되어 있는 무궁화호와 새마을호의 주기별 예방검수 현황과 운행중 발생된 고장발생 현황을 분석하였다. 분석 자료를 바탕으로 객차의 예방검수와 고장발생과의 상관 관계를 확인해보고 중정비검수가 실제 고장예방에 어느정도 효과가 있는지 알아보고자 한다. 또한 일반적인 주기위주의 예방검사보다 차량상태와 장치별 특성을 고려한 효율적인 유지보수 체계에 대한 필요성에 대해 고찰해보고자 한다.

인버터제어 승강기의 전력소비 특성과 전원설비 계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Power Consumption and Design of the Electrical Installations for the Inverter Controlled Elevator)

  • 본 연구에서는 다양한 기종의 인버터제어승강기 전력소비특성을 분석하였다. 특히, 전부하상승전류는 기종별로 표준적인 기준치를 제시하였으며, 그 결과 아파트에 시설되는 인버터제어 승강기의 경우, 전부하상승전류의 크기는 기종별로 기존의 기준치 보다 -3[A]∼7[A] 정도 작아지는 결과을 얻었으며, 동력변압기 용량은 기종별로 기존 기준치 대비 약 0.5[kVA]∼3[kVA] 정도 작은 용량이 적정 용량인 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 전원설비 계획으로서 인버터제어 승강기의 운행 정지사태를 최소화하기 위한 2회선 수전방식 및 2계통 배전 등의 다양한 전원확보방안을 제시하였다.
