The purpose of this study was to examine clothing purchase behavior of sports participants based on outdoor sports types and sports participation motivation. The research was conducted with the use of a self-administered questionnaire. A total of 703 respondents between the ages of 25 and 55 participated in the research through an internet survey. Motivation for participation in particular sports was comprised of four factors: impress others, mental rejuvenation, social interaction, and health maintenance/improvement. Perceived benefits of clothing choice were categorized into three factors: brand/fashion pursuit, positive image pursuit, and practicality pursuit. Outdoor sports activities was categorized into six types, climbing, jogging, cycling, fishing, golf, and others including ball games. Each sports group presented differences in demographics, sports motivation factors, and benefit factors. Four segments were identified based on sports participation motivation: active group, social group, health and revitalization group, and inactive group. The active group considered three clothing benefits and 14 evaluative criteria as being the most important among the four segments, indicating the major target market for outdoor sportswear brands. On the other hand, the members of inactive group showed passive attitudes toward clothing purchasing behaviors. This study discusses the results of this research within the context of the managerial implication for outdoor sports marketers.
The purpose of this study was to explore the general tendencies of major variables and sex differences and to analyze the variables that affect delinquency and aggression. The protective factors considered in this study included parental education participation, parental supervision, and peer attachment, and the risk factors were academic stress and delinquency experiences of peers. The main results of this study are as follows: firstly, academic stress and parental education participation was slightly low, but parental supervision was high. Further, peer attachment showed a very high score. Delinquency experiences of peers, delinquency, and aggression of adolescents were extremely low. Secondly, the correlation of parental education participation, parental supervision, and peer attachment was negatively related to adolescent delinquency, but the delinquency experiences of peers were positively related to adolescent delinquency. The same results were obtained in the case of adolescent aggression. Further, academic stress was negatively related to adolescent aggression. Finally, hierarchical regression revealed that the variables explaining the juvenile delinquency were parental education participation, peer attachment, and delinquency experiences of peers. Adolescent aggression was explained by sex, academic stress, parental education participation, and the delinquency experiences of peers. In particular, more attention is needed for girls. Various interventions should be provided to prevent problem behaviors.
In this study, the structure model including the role of servicescape focusing on service participation and customer experience in theme park service is demonstrated empirically. The servicescape construct of theme park service includes three factors such as ambient atmosphere, functionality and layout, and sign, symbols etc. Customer service participation includes suggestion, passion and citizenship. And the emotional and convenience factors are included to customer experience. As an analysis result of examining the 241 respondents of university students, some implications were described. Customer satisfaction is greatly influenced by customer's participation in theme park service, and customer's participation has a significant effect on improving customer satisfaction by inducing customer experiences. It is desirable to consider servicescape priority in order of signs and symbols, ambient atmosphere, functionality and layout factor. The customer's participation in service is a passion for participation, citizenship, and suggesting for problems or improvements. Therefore, participants in planning and designing servicescape in the future, including IT services, should be creative in the direction of inducing various participations of customers and creating positive experiences for customers. In order to apply these findings to the composition of servicescape, the participation of various experts is required. Also, the expertise and competences of various fields must be gathered for each issues, and a more creative and scientific approach is required.
This study aims to develop online convention service quality and examine the effect of online convention service quality on re-participation intention in the same convention and other types of online conventions. Based on an extensive literature review, the study chose five main factors of online convention service quality: human service, program service, platform service, platform aesthetics, and interaction. A total of 284 data were collected from online convention participants from July 26 to August 6, 2021. For the hypotheses test, multiple regression analysis was used. As a result, interaction and program service quality had positive effects on re-participation intention in the same convention, but except for platform aesthetic, all factors positively affected re-participation intention in other types of online conventions. This study also found that online service quality factors are more helpful in predicting the intention of re-participation in other types of online conventions rather than re-participation in the same convention. Based on the results, theoretical and practical implications were discussed
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of human, social and cultural capital and ecological variables on volunteering among older adults. In this study, three variables of education, income and physical health were examined as human capital factors, two variables of formal and informal interaction as social capital factors, three variables of religion, cultural organization participation and quality of life as cultural capital factors, and three variables of existence of spouse, housing tenure and residence area as ecological factors. In addition, two variables of volunteering participation and continuous volunteering participation intention were considered as dependent variables. For this study, "Senior Job Replacement Project Participants" data collected by the Korea Labor Force Development Institute for the Aged were used and analyzed employing logistic regression analysis technique. This study found that three human capital variables(education, income, physical health) had positive effects on volunteering participation and continuous participation intention among older adults; of the two social capital variables, informal interaction had a positive effect on both volunteering participation and continuous participation intention, whereas formal interaction had a positive effect only on continuous participation intention; three cultural capital variables(religion, cultural organization participation, quality of life) had positive effects on both volunteering participation and continuous participation intention; and of three ecological variables, housing tenure and residence area had positive effects on volunteering participation and continuous participation intention, whereas existence of spouse had no significant effects on dependent variables.
Objectives: The Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) payment system, which has been mplemented in Korea since 1997, is based on voluntary participation. Hence, the positive impact of this system depends on the participation of physicians. This study examined the factors determining participation of Korean obstetrics & gynecology (OBGYN) clinics in the DRG-based payment system. Methods: The demographic information, practice-related variables of OBGYN clinics and participation information in the DRG-based payment system were acquired from the nationwide data from 2002 to 2007 produced by the National Health Insurance Corporation and the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service. The subjects were 336 OBGYN clinics consisting of 43 DRG clinics that had maintained their participation in 2003-2007 and 293 no-DRG (fee-for-service) clinics that had never been a DRG clinic during the same period. Logistic regression analysis was carried out to determine the factors associated with the participation of OBGYN clinics in the DRG-based payment system. Results: The factors affecting participation of OBGYN clinics in the DRG-based payment system were as follows (p<0.05): (1) a larger number of caesarian section (c/sec) claims, (2) higher cost of a c/sec, (3) less variation in the price of a c/sec, (4) fewer days of admission for a c/sec, and (5) younger pregnant women undergoing a c/sec. Conclusions: These results suggest that OBGYN clinics with an economic practice pattern under a fee-for-service system are more likely to participate in the DRG-based payment system. Therefore, to ensure adequate participation of physicians, a payment system with a stronger financial incentive might be more suitable in Korea.
At this point in time when active participation in renewable energy projects is required, basic information on growth engines and substantial promotion strategies for participation in renewable energy projects is needed. According to the this study tried to provide basic information for vitalizing participation in the renewable energy business by analyzing the factors affecting the new energy business participation roadmap using the multi-layered model. As a result of this study, it can be seen that in order to achieve an effective new energy business participation roadmap, it is necessary to re-establish the new and renewable energy business participation factors by industry. Specifically, it is necessary to prepare appropriate countermeasures such as the leading organization of the project, profit distribution method, green industry financial support, project implementation method, power plant location, and comprehensive long-term strategy, and there is an institutional approach that can promote the development of related industries. found to be necessary. Hypotheses based on literature reviews were analyzed emprically. According to the result of study, in aspect of the relationship between constraint factors of festival participation(intrapersonal constraint, interpersonal constraint, structural constraint) and negotiation efforts of festival participation, both interpersonal constraint and structural constraint have positive influence on constraint negotiation efforts. However, intrapersonal constraint factor influenced negatively. Also, the results revealed that in aspect of the relationship among festival participation, festival experience recognition, and satisfaction, festival participation have positive influence on cognitive and emotional experience and finally satisfaction.
A high prevalence of Opisthorchis viverrini infection is usually found in wetland geographical areas of Thailand where people have traditional behavior of eating uncooked freshwater fish dishes which results in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) development. There were several approaches for reducing opisthorchiasis-linked CCA, but the prevalence remains high. To develop community participation as a suitable model for CCA prevention is, firstly, to know what factors are related. We therefore aimed to investigate factors associated with the community participation in CCA prevention among rural residents in wetland areas of Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand. This was a cross-sectional analytic study. All participants were 30-69 years of age, and only one member per house was invited to participate. A total of 906 participants were interviewed and asked to complete questionnaires. Independent variables were socio-demographic parameters, knowledge, health belief and behavior to prevent CCA. The dependent variable was community participation for CCA prevention. Descriptive statistics were computed as number, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Associations were assessed using logistic regression analysis with a P-value <0.05 considered statistically significant. Of all the participants, more than 60% had regularly participated in activities to prevent CCA following health officials advice. Age and health behavior to prevent CCA were factors associated with community participation for CCA (p<0.001). Both factors will be taken into consideration for community participation approaches for CCA prevention through participatory action research (PAR) in future studies.
After the 2000's, the rural village development projects are designated as participatory rural village development programs and projects. The purpose of this study is to draw a scheme to facilitate resident's participation in rural village development project by exploring the factors influencing resident's participation. For this, in Namsa rural theme village in Dansung-myon, Sanchung-gun, Kyongnam Province, the data were collected through field surveys and interviews residents residing in this village. In addition, observations studies and an opinion survey of the persons concerned in the presentation meetings were also conducted. I investigated and analysed the activation factors and the characteristics of residents' participation, and amenity resources which were essential for community planning including the planning-establishment, theme-searching and development of experience program. Through this study, I drew findings as follows; 1) The leader's leadership and residents' positive participation are very important activation factors in the first stage of rural viability. 2) And then, the external support and concern, the establishment of short-and long-term community planning, and the rural-income increase through the development of amenity resources play important roles as activation factors in the successive stage of rural viability. Based on the results of this study, the following recommendations were made. In order to improve the level of resident's participation in rural village development programs and projects, it is necessary to evaluate their successes, failure, barriers and the positive correlation between their success more delicately. In addition to this, it must be suggested the better model for participatory rural village development programs for the further enhancement and improvement of rural village development projects.
