ADEPT공정을 거친 돈사폐수의 아질산화-아탈질 공정을 이용한 질소제거 (Nitrogen Removal from ADEPT Effluent of Piggery Wastewater using Nitritation/Denitiritation System)

  • Partial nitirification and denitrification process has been reported to be technically feasible and economically favorable, especially for wastewater treatment with high ammonium concentration or low Carbon/Nitrogen ratio. This research was performed to survey nitrite accumulation by nitritation in treating ADEPT effluent of piggery wastewater, which contains highly concentrated ammonia. To estimate the possibility of nitrite accumulation, DO concentration and SRT were investigated as key operational parameters. This result proved that nitritation to nitrite was steadily obtained under short sludge retention time. Oxygen limitation was proved to be just a subsidiary parameter. Energy efficiency of nitritation-denitritation process was higher than complete nitrification-denitrification because external carbon requirement for denitritation could be saved. Though the influent contained significant nonbiodegradable organic substrate, total nitrogen removal efficiency was more than 51% in nitritation-denitritation system.

  • This study addressed trust to collective intelligence for explaining the affecting factors to the intention to use of collective intelligence by dividing the object of trust into a Web site and an information source group. We explored the factors affecting user's continuance intention toward collective intelligence in the view off trust building. We made a well-structured survey of our proposed model and gained 205 cases. We analyzed the proposed research model empirically using partial least square method. The findings are summarized as follows. First, all key factors (relevance, timeless, completeness, understandability) composing of collective intelligence quality have a positive and significant impact on confirmation. Second, confirmation has a significant impact on trust toward a Web site, as well as toward an information source group. The last is that trust toward a Web site influences on continuance intention, whereas trust toward an information source group doesn't.

Chromospheric Canopy Fields over a Flux Emergence Region as a Key Condition for Formation of the Sunspot Penumbra

  • A presence of a penumbra is one of the main properties of a mature sunspot, and its formation mechanism has been elusive due to a lack of observations that fully cover the formation process. Utilizing the New Solar Telescope at the Big Bear Solar Observatory, we observed the formation of a partial penumbra for about 7 hours simultaneously at the photospheric (TiO; $7057{\AA}$) and the chromospheric ($H{\alpha}$, $-1{\AA}$) spectral lines with high spatial and temporal resolution. From this uninterrupted, long observational sequence, we found that flux emergence under the stable chromospheric canopy fields resulted in penumbra formation, while emerging flux under the expanding chromospheric fields appeared as transient elongated granules. Based on these findings, we suggest a possible scenario for penumbra formation in which a penumbra forms when the emerging flux is constrained from continuing to emerge, but rather is trapped at the photospheric level by the overlying chromospheric canopy fields.

Activity Change of Ornithine Decarboxylase(ODC) after Hepatectomy

  • Ornithine decarboxylase(ODC) catalyzes the first and key step in the polyamine biosynthetic pathway. Ornithine decarboxylase is known to the enzyme that increase substantially its activity in regenerating liver. We found that activity and mRNA level for ODC increase significantly after partial hepatectomy in the rat. After laparotomy, there was significant decrease in activity ; however, mRNA content was unaltered in contrast to previous reports of no change in ornithine decarboxylase and thymidine kinase after sham hepatectomy. This may be mediated by the decrease in food intake after hepatectomy. Therefore it is necessary to examine the effect of food intake after hepatectomy on the ODC activity and mRNA level in the future.

제주도 자연 초지의 물질 생산과 토양 특성 (The Matter Production Structure and Soil Properties of Natural Grasslands in Cheju Island)

  • This study was made on the relationships among production structures, biomass and Soil proper-ties of grassland types in Chejudo. The results of this investigation were obtained as foolows. The annual productions of the grasslands of Zoysio, Imperata, Themede, Miscanthus and Pteridium types were 40.36~144.00, 168.28~272.44, 58.24~138.44, 156.12 ~714. 12 and 157. 18~398.40g /m$^2$, respectively. The production structures of those grassland types were different from one another. The water contents, organic matter, total nitrogen and available phosphorus were different levels between grasslands had a simple correlation at 5% level and the organic matter contents were a higher significant at the partial correlation. A modified modal perturbation method for vibration characteristics of non-prismatic Timoshenko beams

  • A new perturbation method is introduced to study the undamped free vibration of a non-prismatic Timoshenko beam for its natural frequencies and vibration modes. For simplicity, the natural modes of vibration of its corresponding prismatic Euler-Bernoulli beam with the same length and boundary conditions are used as Ritz base functions with necessary modifications to account for shear strain in the Timoshenko beam. The new method can transform two coupled partial differential equations governing the transverse vibration of the non-prismatic Timoshenko beam into a set of nonlinear algebraic equations. It significantly simplifies the solution process and is applicable to non-prismatic beams with various boundary conditions. Three examples indicated that the new method is more accurate than the previous perturbation methods. It successfully takes into account the effect of shear deformation of Timoshenko beams particularly at the free end of cantilever structures.

  • Advance of neuroimaging technique has greatly influenced recent brain research field. Among various neuroimaging modalities, positron emission tomography has played a key role in molecular neuroimaging though functional MRI has taken over its role in the cognitive neuroscience. As the analysis technique for PET data is more sophisticated, the complexity of the method is more increasing. Despite the wide usage of the neuroimaging techniques, the assumption and limitation of procedures have not often been dealt with for the clinician and researchers, which might be critical for reliability and interpretation of the results. In the current paper, steps of voxel-based statistical analysis of PET including preprocessing, intensity normalization, spatial normalization, and partial volume correction will be revisited in terms of the principles and limitations. Additionally, new image analysis techniques such as surface-based PET analysis, correlational analysis and multimodal imaging by combining PET and DTI, PET and TMS or EEG will also be discussed.

3X Serial GF(2$^m$) Multiplier on Polynomial Basis

  • With an increasing importance of the information security issues, the efficienct calculation process in terms of finite field level is becoming more important in the Elliptic curve cryptosystems. Serial multiplication architectures are based on the Mastrovito's serial multiplier structure. In this paper, we manipulate the numerical expressions so that we could suggest a 3-times as fast as (3x) the Mastrovito's multiplier using the polynomial basis. The architecture was implemented with HDL, to be evaluated and verified with EDA tools. The implemented 3x GF (Galois Field) multiplier showed 3 times calculation speed as fast as the Mastrovito's, only with the additional partial-sum generation processing unit.

  • 인터넷의 확산과 컴퓨터 간 상호연결성의 증대로 디지털 자원에 대한 유통 환경이 급속히 변화함에 따라 디지털 형태의 음악, 화상, 영상물, 출판물 등 멀티미디어 자료에 대한 수요가 급격히 증가하고 있다. 하지만 디지털 저작물은 품질에 대한 손상이 없이 복제가 가능하기 때문에 불법복제 방지를 위한 디지털 저작권 보호문제가 중요한 이슈로 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 암호화 방법보다 다양한 키를 생성하는 알고리즘을 제안하며, 키 생성 알고리즘을 통해 각각 생성된 랜덤 대칭키를 서버에 저장하지 않는 기존의 시스템보다 보안성이 높은 암호화 방법을 제안한다.

  • This paper presents the develop-ment of electromagnetic wave detecting equipment for diagnosis of enclosed switchboard. High voltage power equipments are very important equipment of the key industries and the private enterprise power line accidents are national plans because of those set off casualties lose of power equipments and communication networks. Therefore the necessity of the development of detecting for power equipment diagnosis is demand for prevention of high voltage equipment accidents. This paper is the development of electromagnetic wave detecting equipment for diagnosis of high voltage equipment. This paper establishes the diagnosis method for high voltage power equipments, that secures original technique and possesses detecting technique for electromagnetic wave. By the study we developed electromagnetic wave detector and we applied this equipment application tests at the place constructed high voltage equipments.
