TEV 검출에 의한 가스 절연 개폐기의 절연 진단 (Insulation Diagnosis of Gas-Insulated Switchgears by TEV Detection)

  • Transient earth voltage (TEV) signals propagate on metal surfaces when partial discharge (PD) occurs due to the deterioration of insulation performance in the operation of gas-insulated switchgears (GIS). A TEV sensor has advantages of high sensitivity and convenient installation for detecting PD defects. However, the TEV sensor depends on imports in domestic and detailed studies have not been conducted. In this study, a sensor was designed and fabricated by the TEV principle and its response characteristics were evaluated for detecting PD defects, which were simulated as protrusion on conductor (POC), protrusion on enclosure (POE), and free moving particle (FMP) defects. Finally, the PD-induced TEV signals were measured and phase-resolved partial discharge (PRPD) patterns were analyzed to identify the type of defect.

  • 본 논문에서는 $SF_6$가스 내에 혼입된 급속이물에 의한 부분방전에 대해 연구하였다. 모의 GIS챔버를 설계.제작하여, 전극 내에 혼입된 금속이물에 의한 부분방전 및 절연파괴과정을 관측하고, 초음파센서를 이용하여 부분방 전올 검출하였다. 또한 전극 내에 혼입된 금속이물의 위치에 따른 전계를 해석하였다. $SF_6$가스 내에서 금속이물의 거동 중 끝단에서 부분방전이 발생하였다 이와 같이 금속이물이 거동중에 발생하는 미소 캡사이의 방전은 아크방전으로 진전되어, 결과적으로는 절연파괴를 유발할 수 있다. 금속이물의 위치에 따른 전계분포는 금속이물이 상부전극에 수직으로 부착되어 있는 경우에 전계의 세기가 가장 크고, 하부전극에 수평으로 부착되어 있는 경우가 가장 낮게 나타났다.

원통형 캐비티에서 방출되는 방사 전자파 특성 (Characteristics of Radiated Electromagnetic Fields From A Cylindrical Cavity)

  • 본 논문에서는 주상변압기의 내부 부분방전에 의한 방사 전자파를 예측하기 위해 원통형 캐비티의 구조 및 크기 변화에 따른 1차측, 2차측 전극의 부싱을 통해 방출되는 방사 전자파 특성을 FDTD 법으로 검토하였다. 그 결과, 원통형 캐비티의 구조에서 1차측 및 2차측 부싱에서 방사되는 방사 전자파를 확인할 수 있었다. 원통형 캐비티 외함의 구조에 대한 방사 전자파의 주파수 특성을 검토하고 제작한 원통형 캐비티의 실험을 통해 이론 계산 결과와 비교 검토하였다.

  • At Grashof numbers $10^{10},\;5{\times}10^{10}$, and $10^{11}$ nonlinear partial differential equations for two dimensional thermal circulation of air in a rectangular enclosure heated from below are solved numerically by finite difference explicit methood in time-dependent form. Two vertical walls and ceiling are held at low temperature and floor at high temperture. Results are compared with From's numerical solutions at $10^9{\lesssim}\;N_{Gr}\;<10^{13}$. The effective draft temperature fields are also obtained to examine cold draft problem, there included a line of constant effective draft temperature $-1.667^{\circ}C$ which is essentially Houghten's $80\%$ comfort data.

도시공간에 있어서 둘러싸인감의 적용방법에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Application Method for the Enclosed Effect in the Space of Cities)

  • 본 연구는 일본의 도시공간을 중심으로 D/H와 둘러싸인감이 어느 정도 관련성이 있는지 평가하였다. 동일 샘플에 대해 D/H의 각도 순위와 실험자가 느끼는 실제공간의 둘러싸인감 순위를 순위상관분석을 통해 평가한 결과 42개의 전체샘플(0.49), 25개의 내부공간 샘플(0.63), 17개의 외부공간 샘플(0.59)의 상관성이 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 D/H의 각도로 현대의 공간을 설명하는 것은 한계성이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과는 현대도시는 공간구조가 복잡한 요소로 구성되어 있어 과거의 D/H와 둘러싸인감 이론을 바탕으로 공간을 평가하는 것은 한계성이 있다. 따라서 앞으로 둘러싸인감을 평가하기 위해서는 새로운 평가모델이 구축되어야 할 것이며 도시공간과 둘러싸인감의 영향에 관한 연구가 필요하다.

전력용변압기에서 UHF 부분방전 신호의 전파 특성 (Propagation Characteristics of Ultra High Frequency Partial Discharge Signals in Power Transformer)

  • This paper describes the characteristics of electromagnetic wave propagation in power transformer. A transformer which is similar to 154 kV single phase on-site transformer unit was provided for the purpose of the experiment. The 12 dielectric windows on the transformer enclosure to install UHF (ultra high frequency) sensors and the full scale mock ups of winding and the core were also equipped in the transformer. Every sensors to be installed to the transformer was tested and verified whether they show same characteristics or not before the experiment. A discharge gap which was used as a PD (partial discharge) source moved to several necessary locations in the transformer to simulate dielectric defects. Propagation times of electromagnetic wave signal from PD source to sensors decided by the routes of both reflection phenomenon and diffraction phenomenon were compared each other. The experimental results showed propagation route of the PD signal makes an effect on the frequency spectrum of front part of the signal and the magnitude of the signal and propagation time of the signal when the signal is captured on the sensor.

SF6 가스 중 직류 고전압 하에서 부분방전 특성 (Characteristics of Partial Discharge Under HVDC in SF6 Gas)

  • This paper dealt with the measurement and analysis of partial discharge (PD) under high voltage direct current (HVDC) in SF6 gas. Electrode systems such as a protrusion on conductor (POC), a protrusion on enclosure (POE), a crack on epoxy plate and a free particle (FP) were fabricated to simulate the insulation defects. The analysis system was designed with a Time-Frequency (T-F) map algorithm programed based on LabVIEW. This can arrange the acquired PD pulses into frequency and time domain. A HVDC power source is composed of a transformer (220 V/50 kV), a diode (100 kV) and a capacitor (50 kV, 0.5 ${\mu}F$). The gap between the electrodes is 3 mm, and the $SF_6$ gas was set at 5 bar. PD pulses were detected by a 50 ${\Omega}$ non-inductive resistor. In the analysis, PD pulses were distributed below 0.5 MHz and 20 ns ~ 35 ns for the POC, 0.7 MHz ~ 1.7 MHz, below 0.6 MHz and 10 ns ~ 40 ns and 60 ns ~125 ns for the POE, below 0.1 MHz and 135 ns ~ 215 ns for the crack, and below 1.6 MHz and 250 ns for the FP.

SF6 가스절연에서 부분방전의 특성분석 (Analysis of Partial Discharge Characteristics in SF6 Gas Insulation)

  • This paper deals with the characteristics of partial discharge (PD) for the purpose of a condition based maintenance (CBM) of gas insulated switchgears (GIS) in power equipment. Four types of electrode systems such as a protrusion on enclosure (POE), a particle on spacer (POS), a free particle (FP) and a Floating were designed and fabricated. PD pulses were measured using UHF sensor with a frequency range of 300 MHz~1.4 GHz and a DAQ with a sampling rate of 250 MS/s. Discharge inception voltage (DIV), discharge extinction voltage (DEV), and phase resolved partial discharge (PRPD) were analyzed depending on electrode systems. The average DIV in the POS was 28.8 kV. It was about 1.7 times higher than that in the FP, which was the lowest value of 17.2 kV. The FP shuffled and jumped at the applied voltage of 23.5 kV. Over 95% of PD pulses in the POE were generated in the negative polarity ($181^{\circ}{\sim}360^{\circ}$) of applied voltage. The results showed the phase (${\Phi}$)-magnitude (dBm) of PD pulses by UHF sensor, a cluster was formed separately depending on electrode systems.

Generic studies on thermo-solutal convection of mercurous chloride system of ${Hg_2}{Cl_2}$ and Ne during physical vapor transport

  • The effects of thermo-solutal convection on mercurous chloride system of ${Hg_2}{Cl_2}$, and Ne during physical vapor transport are numerically investigated for further understanding and insight into essence of transport phenomena, For $10\;K{\le}{\Delta}T{\le}30\;K$, the growth rate slowly increases and, then is decreased gradually until ${\Delta}T$=50 K, The occurrence of this critical point near at ${\Delta}T$=30 K is likely to be due to the effects of thermo-physical properties stronger than the temperature gradient corresponding to driving force for thermal convection. For the range of $10\;Torr{\le}P_B{\le}300\;Torr$, the rate is second order-exponentially decayed with partial pressures of component B, $P_B$. For the range of $5{\le}M_B{\le}200$, the rate is second order-exponentially decayed with a function of molecular weight of component B, $M_B$. Like the case of a partial pressure of component B, the effects of a molecular weight arc: reflected through the binary diffusivity coefficients, which are intimately related with suppressing the convection flow inside the growth enclosure, i,e., transition from convection to diffusion-dominant flow mode as the molecular weight of B increases. The convective mode is near at a ground level, i,e., on earth (1 $g_0$), and the convection is switched to the diffusion mode for $0.1\;g_0{\le}g{\le}10^{-2}g_0$, whereas the diffusion region ranges from $10^{-2}g_0$ up to $10^{-5}g_0$.

SF6-N2 혼합가스 중 돌출 결함의 부분방전 특성 (Partial Discharge Characteristics on Protrusion Defects in SF6-N2 Mixture Gases)

  • Studies on a $SF_6$-mixture and -alternative gas has been in progress to reduce the use of $SF_6$ gas as an insulation material of GIS (gas insulated switchgears). In this paper, we dealt with PD (partial discharge) characteristics in pure $SF_6$ and $N_2$, and their mixtures on aspects of insulation design and risk assessment for GIS. A POC (protrusion on conductor) and a POE (protrusion on enclosure) as the major defects were fabricated to simulate PD. We analyzed the DIV (discharge inception voltage), DEV (discharge extinction voltage), pulse magnitude, counts and phase distribution of PD pulse in $SF_6-N_2$ mixtures ($SF_6$ 100%, $SF_6$ 80%-$N_2$ 20%, $SF_6$ 50%-$N_2$ 50%, $SF_6$ 20%-$N_2$ 80%, and $N_2$ 100%) according to the IEC60270. The DIV, DEV as well as magnitude of PD pulse decreased on the POC as increase of $N_2$ ratio. For the POE, the DIV and DEV in $N_2$ ratio below 50% were the same voltages as those in $SF_6$ 100%. In this experiment, $SF_6$ 80%-$N_2$ 20% mixture could be considered with the equivalent insulation performance to a GIS.
