한국(韓國) 치과기공사(齒科技工士)들의 직업(職業)에 대한 의식구조(意識構造) 조사연구(調査硏究) (A Study on the Consciousness of Dental Technicians about the Vocational in Korea)

  • The objective of this study is to research the job spirits of Korea Dental Technisians, Then to figure out the reality of Dental Laboratory Technology field. So to provide data for improving the working condition in which they can with the proper value and pride and be of help in the development of Dental Laboratory Technology field. 1. Before entering school, 121(59.1%) scarcely knew about Dental Technisians, which show its perception is fairly low. The reason for choosing their job, 93(45.4%) answered the most it has a rosy future. 2. About the job satsfaction, 77.5% was satisfied counting the "so-so"s as contentment. About the channel for getting their jobs, 81(39.5%) the most made it through their own efforts. 3. The most influential factor when choosing their jobs, character and aptitude is answered the most by 115(56.1%). The working period they want is the time when they can't work for health problem, 76(37.1%) answered. 4. The most favored job condition of Dental Technitians is opening their own office(69, 33.7% and the most favored work is dental ceramics 62.9%, 129) 5. About their desires on changing jobs, about 52.2% was considering it and the reason for it they are treated improperly in spite of their academic background.(57.1%, 117ppl) 6. About the events for improvement of their job knowledge, 75(36.6%) answered participation in seminars. For the present, the most interesting part is to take new skills via the seminars(33.7%, 69ppl) 7. On the future of the Dental Laboratory Technology field, 80.4% said would be better. On the claims for the Dental Laborotory Technology Association, 152(74.1%) said they wanted their reights and interests protected.

FMS 흐름 통제를 위한 Look-Ahead Routing Procedure의 적용효과 (The Effect of Look-Ahead Routing Procedure for Flow Control in an FMS)

  • The introduction of general purpose machining centers and the information system based on computer network has added a new control problem to the classical job shop control problems: a routing problem. A routing problem is to determine the machine on which a part will be processed. The modern manufacturing systems are given much system status information including the arrival time of the future parts via the computer network for automation. This paper presents and tests the performance of a routing procedure, LARP(Look-Ahead Routing Procedure) which uses look-ahead information on the future arrival of parts in the system. The manufacturing system considered in this paper has multi-stations which consists of general purpose machines and processes parts of different types. The application of LARP under many operating conditions shows that the reduction of part flow time and tardiness from the cases without using this information is up to 8% for flow time and 21% for tardiness. The procedure introduced here can be used for many highly automated systems such as an FMS and a semi-conductor fabrication system for routing where the arrivals of parts in the near future are known.

한국의 노동시간 계층화에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Working-Time Stratification in Korea)

  • 이 글은 노동시간의 소득계층별 차이와 분포 및 추이를 드러내고 정책적 함의를 도출한다. 노동시간을 주변적시간제, 시간제, 표준노동시간, 장시간으로 구분하고 소득분위별 상대분포를 비교한 결과, 소득 하위 20%는 주변적시간제 내지 시간제일자리에, 소득 2분위에서 4분위까지 60% 가량이 장시간 노동에, 상위 20%는 표준시간노동에 종사하였다. 한국의 노동시간은 단시간-저소득의 유형I, 장시간-중위소득의 유형II, 표준시간-고소득의 유형III으로 계층화된다. 노동시간 유형에 대한 패널 다항로짓 분석결과 월평균 임금을 기준으로 저임금-단시간, 중위임금-장시간, 고임금-표준시간의 유형이, 시간당 임금을 기준으로 저임금-초장시간, 중위임금-장시간, 고임금-표준시간 유형이 확인되었다. 시간당임금 및 월임금, 비정규직 비율, 직업군, 연령대를 중심으로 노동시간의 계층화가 심화되었다. 소득 하위 20%에 대해서는 최저임금 인상, 중위소득 60%를 포함한 다수의 노동자에 대해서는 노동시간 단축을 통한 고용창출이 유효한 전략이 될 수 있다.

유휴간호인력 활용방안에 관한 연구 (An Action Research Study on Measures to Mobilize Inactive Nurses)

  • The purpose of this study was (1)to undertake a survey to identify the profile of inactive nurses, who account for 42.2% of the 130,000 RN(Registered Nurses) in Korea, (2)to identify factors related to the inactivation of these nurses, (3)to identify reasons behind the high turnover rate of nurses, and (4)to delineate measures for inactive nurses to participate in professional nursing activities so as to upgrade the quality of the health care delivery system in Korea. For these purposes, this study surveyed existing literature on the turnover of nurses and, used the nominal group technique of action research, to collect ideas from hospital/nurse administrators, inactive nurses, nurses on the job, graduate students in nursing, part-time nurses, patients, and their families to formulate strategies to mobilize inactive nurses. The findings are as follows : Frist, institutional supports should be provided to mobilize inactive nurses. To be more specific : (1) A data-base needs be created at the Korean Nurses Association to link inactive nurses with jobs available. (2) Retraining programs need be established to equip inactive nurses for new jobs. (3) Comprehensive information related to employment needs should be made available. Second, a conducive environment needs to be created to draw in inactive nurses to the job market. To be more specific : (1) A system of part-time work needs to be introduced in hospitals. (2) Nurse-specialists need to be promoted. (3) Potential jobs need to be created. (4) Working environment and terms and conditions for nurses need to be improved. (5) Competent nurses need to be secured in the health care delivery system. To achieve the goals presented above, this paper presented 55 specific strategies that may help mitigate the turnover rate of nurses and, in turn, help make the Korean Nurses Association effective in implementing its policies.

경영정보학과 졸업자들에 대한 기업의 만족도 : C 대학에 대한 사례 연구 (Satisfaction of Firms with the MIS Department Graduates : The Case Study of C University)

  • This research surveys how much firms are satisfied with the graduates of the MIS Department of C University. The subjects of this research are the graduates of the department who are working as full time workers and their supervisors, coworkers and subordinate workers evaluate how much they are satisfactory regarding their ability and knowledge to do their jobs successfully. The subjects are classified into IS practitioners and non-IS practitioners based on the tasks they are currently taking charge of. The results show that the IT - related part of the curriculum of the department provides a relative advantage for non-IS practitioners and that the management-related part of the curriculum provides a relative advantage for IS practitioners. The results also show that the curriculum does not provide the graduates enough technical proficiency to develop a successful carrier as IS specialists.

Viewer's Affective Feedback for Video Summarization

  • For different reasons, many viewers like to watch a summary of films without having to waste their time. Traditionally, video film was analyzed manually to provide a summary of it, but this costs an important amount of work time. Therefore, it has become urgent to propose a tool for the automatic video summarization job. The automatic video summarization aims at extracting all of the important moments in which viewers might be interested. All summarization criteria can differ from one video to another. This paper presents how the emotional dimensions issued from real viewers can be used as an important input for computing which part is the most interesting in the total time of a film. Our results, which are based on lab experiments that were carried out, are significant and promising.

다중기계로 구성되는 조립전단계에서의 부품생산 일정계획 (Scheduling on the Pre-assembly Stage of Multiple Fabrication Machines)

  • This paper analyses a deterministic scheduling problem concerned with manufacturing multiple types of components at a pre-assembly stage composed of parallel fabrication machines. Each component part is machined on a fabrication machine specified in advance. The manufactured components are subsequently assembled into products. The completion time of a job(product) is measured by the latest completion time of its all components at the pre-assembly stage. The problem has the objective measure of minimizing the total weighted completion time of a finite number of jobs. Two lower bounds are derived and tested in a branch-and-bound scheme. Also, three constructive heuristic algorithms are developed based on the machine aggregation and greedy strategies. Some empirical evaluation of the performance of the proposed branch-and-bound and heuristic algorithms are also performed.

취업자들의 국내 관광여행 참여에 관한 실증 분석 -일자리 특성별 국내 관광여행 일수·횟수·지출액 차이분석을 중심으로- (Empirical Analysis on Domestic Travel Activities of Workers -Focused on Domestic Travel Numbers, Days and Expenditures-)

  • 일자리 특성 등 사회문화적 맥락은 노동시간과 여가시간 변화에 영향을 미친다. 그 결과 여가시간을 이용한 활동인 관광활동에도 차이가 발생할 수 있으나 이에 대한 실증 분석 연구는 미흡하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국민여행 실태조사 자료 중 국내 관광여행에 참여한 경험이 있는 취업자 자료를 활용하여 일자리 특성별 국내 관광여행 참여에 차이가 있는지를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 임금 근로자의 국내 관광여행 일수 및 지출액이 비임금 근로자보다 많았으며, 정규직 근로자의 국내 관광여행 횟수 일수 지출액이 비정규직 근로자보다 많았다. 종업원이 500명 이상인 사업장 근무자의 국내 관광여행 횟수 일수 지출액은 종업원 10인 미만 사업장 근무자보다 많았으며, 격주 5일 근무자의 국내 관광여행 횟수 및 일수는 주 5일 초과 근무자보다 많은 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구결과는 일자리 특성을 고려한 관광진흥 정책 수립에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

편입학의 직업지위 효과와 직업구조: 전문대졸자 vs. 일반대 편입학자 (The Occupational Structure of the Junior College Students' Transfer and Occupation Status Effect)

  • 이 연구는 전문대학생 편입학의 직업지위 효과를 분석하고자 전문대에서 4년제에 편입학 후 취업한 경우와 전문대 졸업후 바로 취업한 경우의 노동시장 성과를 조사 및 분석한 것이다. 세부적으로는 편입학에 따른 직업구조의 차이를 조사했으며, 편입학이 직업지위에 어떤 효과가 있는지를 분석하였다. 자료는 대졸자직업이동경로조사(GOMS)를 사용했으며 표본의 선택편의 제고를 위해 성향점수매칭(PSM) 추정을 통해 544명의 표본을 추출하여 사용하였다. 또한 종속 변인으로 직업지위 지표를 개발하여 적용하였다. 이 연구의 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 편입학의 직업구조를 확인한 결과, 수평적인 산업구조에서는 편입학자가 모든 산업에 분포하고 있으나 비편입학자는 제조업에 상대적으로 많이 분포하고 진출하지 않은 산업 분야들도 있었다. 수직적인 직업지위 구조에는 높은 직업지위에는 편입학자가 더 많이 분포하고 비편입학자는 더 낮은 직업지위에까지 분포하고 있었다. 둘째, 편입학은 직업지위에 효과가 높은 것으로 나타났으며 이는 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 그 외에 유의하게 나타난 설명변인은 부모학력, 전공계열, 고용형태, 전공직무일치 그리고 직무일치이다. 즉, 부모학력이 높을수록 직업지위가 높았으며, 공학자연계열인 경우 인문사회교육계열보다 직업지위가 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 정규직인 경우 비정규직보다 직업지위가 높았으며, 전공과 직무가 일치할수록, 교육 기술 수준과 직무가 일치할수록 직업지위가 높은 것으로 나타났다.

스웨덴의 부모보험제도와 여성의 경제활동 (Parental Insurance and Women's Economic Activities in Sweden)

  • Parental leave in Sweden is a part of the health insurance in national social insurance system. It has two kinds of benefits. One is parental cash benefit paid for both husband and wife on the occasion of child birth, currently 450days for each child. The other is temporary parental cash benefit when a child under the age of twelve or a caretaker for him is illness, which is six months for a child a year. Parental insurance in Sweden permits parents to take care of their children just after birth at home with the amount of 80% of monthly income for 360 days and 60 Swedish krone each day for 90 days more. It also permits parents with children under the age of eight of part-time work and return to former job at full-time base when they want. It consequently entourage women's economic activity in her whole life and contributes to promotion of equality in sex roles between husband and wife. This insurance scheme is beneficient in that it enhances individual and family welfare and also secures labour force. This case study on Swedish parental insurance offers implication how to resolve the conflict between women's increased demand for economic activity and maternal role.
