This paper proposes an opportunistic age replacement policy. The system has two types of failures. Type I failures (minor failures) are removed by minimal repairs, whereas type II failures are removed by replacements. Type I and type II failures are age-dependent. A system is replaced at type II failure (catastrophic failure) or at the opportunity after age T, whichever occurs first. The cost of the minimal repair of the system at age z depends on the random part C(z) and the deterministic part c(z). The opportunity arises according to a Poisson process, independent of failures of the component. The expected cost rate is obtained. The optimal $T^{\ast}$ which would minimize the cost rate is discussed. Various special cases are considered. Finally, a numerical example is given.

Initial screening is one of the most important and difficult processes in new product development. Many new product screening models have been developed in management and marketing. However practical applications of these models have been limited in part due to their complexity and inflexibility, and in part due to their excessive data requirements. Thus simple judgment models have been popular in practice. However, these models suffer from inaccuracy and inconsistency originating form human cognitive limitations. In light of the problem swith traditional screening methods, we propose a new approach for screening based on managers' past experience and intuitive judgments-screening by analogy, and develop a computerized case-based system for screening new financial service concepts. Using the system, managers can predict the potential performance of a new product concept based on the performance of past products that are similar to it in terms of product characteristics, firm's resources, and market conditions. Based on this prediction, managers make a screening decision.

In a flexible manufacturing system, a cell controller is able to identify and evaluate a number of alternative decisions to meet the objectives set by the factory level controller. In this paper, a Petri net-based cell controller is presented to accomplish this task. A static model is developed by using the Integrated Computer Aided Definition(IDEF0) method to represent clear functional relationships among the objects of the system. Based on the static model, two Petri net models are developed for the physical part flow and for the information flow. Multiple decision alternatives are generated from the physical part flow model and are synchronized with the information flow model for execution of the selected alternative.

In this paper, KOMPSAT-2 on-board fault and ground recovery management design is addressesed in terms of hardware and software components which provide failure detection and spacecraft safing for anomalies which threaten spacecraft survival. It also includes ground real time up-commanding operation to recover the system safely. KOMPSAT-2 spacecraft fault and recovery management is designed such that the subsequent system configuration due to system initialization is initiated and controlled by processors. This paper will show that KOMPSAT-2 has a new design feature of CPU SEU mitigation for the possible upsets in the processor CPUs as a part of on-board fault management design. Recovery management of processor switching has two different ways: gang switching and individual switching. This paper will show that the difficulties of using multiple-processor system can be managed by proper design implementation and flight operation.

An expert network administrator is not always stationed as disasters happen. In that case, it is desirable that a novice administrator is capable of taking part in network recovery operations as well. In this paper, an agent-based network management system in emergency situations is presented. We use the Active Information Resource based Network Management System (AIR-NMS) to relieve the human administrator from parts of her management tasks and present an interface that remotely can control this management system. The effectiveness of the system is demonstrated by experiments using a prototype system.

Climate changes and environmental pollution recently became a matter of global interest. Korean government established low carbon green growth act in the light of international environment regulation and started demonstration certificate project for GMS (Green Management System). We aim to explore audit data resulted from demonstration companies that pursued the GMS certificate. The demonstration companies are consisted of 11 companies that a certification body L gave the certificate. The audit data results were formed by minor nonconformities detected in the field evaluation based on GMS standards, KS I 7001/2 : 2011. We found out significant differences for minor nonconformities between types of industry and between major clauses of Part 1 and Part 2 in GMS standards. We make an effort to figure out the implication of causes of the significant differences. These results are expected to contribute to understand GMS operation situations and are utilized as a reference for energy management, social responsibility, and green gas reduction.

언론은 국민적인 공감대와 여론을 형성하며, 특정 쟁점을 집중적으로 보도하면서 사회적 영향력을 발휘하는데 큰 역할을 하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 지금까지 기록관리학계에서 시도되지 않고 있는 언론보도 분석을 통해 지난 14년간(1998년-2011년) 공공기록관리 제도의 형성과 변화과정에서 중요하게 다뤄진 쟁점들은 무엇이고, 이들 각 쟁점이 언론에서 어떻게 보도되고, 기사에 등장하는 정보원을 파악하여 누가 해당 쟁점에 대해 적극적으로 대응하고 확산해왔는지 분석하는 것에 목적을 두었다.

This paper describes an intelligent service robot system for managing a store in an unmanned environment. The robot can be a good replacement for humans because it is possible to work all day and to remember lots of information. We design a system architecture for configuring many intelligent functions of intelligent service robot system which consists of four layers; a User Interaction Layer, a Behavior Scheduling Layer, a Intelligent Module Layer, and a Hardware Layer. We develop an intelligent service robot 'Part Timer' based on the designed system architecture. The 'Part Timer' has many intelligent function modules such as face detection-recognition-tracking module, speech recognition module, navigation module, manipulator module, appliance control module, etc. The 'Part Timer' is possible to answer the phone and this function gives convenient interface to users.

이 논문은 packet switching 방식에 의한 공중 computer 통신망 개발에 관한 4편의 논문중 제 2부의 논문으로 제 1부의 KORNET의 개요 및 netwo.k managementcenter (NMC)개발에관한 논문에 이어 KO-RNET의 설계와 networhnode Processor(NNP)의 개발에 대해 기술한다. KORNET은 3개의 NNP와 하나의 NMC 로 일차 구성하였는데, NNP는 MC68000 microprocessor를 이용한 multiprocessor system으로 구현되었고, HMC는 중형 computer인 Mv/8000 system을 사용하여 개발하였다. KORNET에서의 packet service 방식은 virtual circuit(VC) 방식으로 하고 routing은 node나 선로의 상태변화에 쉽게 대처할 수 있는 분산적응방식(distributed adaptive routinB)을 사용하였다. 또한, buffo. management는 dy-namic sharing 방식을 채택하여 storage의 사용에 대한 효율성을 높였다. NNP system의 hardware는 modularity를 고려하여 확장이 용이하게 하였으며, software는 CCITT 권고사항 X.25, X.3, X.28, X.29등을 따라 구현하였다.
