Seaweed biomass was estimated in the rocky subtidal zone of Daejin on the mid-east coast of Korea using a destructive sampling method from February to November 2007. Monthly sampling was conducted at depths of 5, 10 and 15 m using 50 $\times$ 50 cm quadrats. A total of 73 species, including 5 chlorophytes, 25 phaeophytes, 43 rhodophytes and one seagrass were identified. Average seaweed biomass was 2,852.3 g wet wt. $m^{-2}$ and biomass values varied monthly from 1,189.8 g to 7,523.7 g. The species dominant in biomass were Laminaria japonica (481.7 g), Sargassum confusum (470.85 g), Undaria pinnatifida (422.57 g), Costaria costata (282.16 g), Odonthalia corymbifera (174.46 g), S. sagamianum (163.22 g) and S. horneri (122.18 g). The vertical distribution of algae was characterized by S. confusum and U. pinnatifida at 5 m, L. japonica and U. pinnatifida at 10 m, and O. corymbifera and L. japonica at 15 m depth. The C/P, R/P and (R+C)/P values were 0.20, 1.72 and 1.92, respectively.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Korean medicine treatments on a systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods: We treated 1 case of systemic lupus erythematosus patient with Korean herbal medicine, acupuncture, moxibustion and pharmaco-acupuncture. Patient is a 44-year-old woman, who suffered from general body weakness, arthralgia and foamy urine. She was treated with Samilshinki-hwan-gami and Oryeong-san-gami. Patient is taken acupuncture at GV20, CV12, LI4, LR3, ST36, BL23, BL25 and moxibustion at CV4. We injected pharmaco-acupuncture at BL23, BL25. Results: After treatments the patient recovered from foamy urine, reduced general body weakness, arthralgia. Conclusions: This study suggests that Korean medicine treatments have significant effect on reducing symptoms of systemic lupus erythematosus.

Peroxynitrite is a potent neurotoxic molecule produced from a reaction between NO and super-oxide and induces NO-mediated inflammation under neuropathological conditions. Previously, we reported that glucose deprivation induced ATP depletion and cell death in immunostimulated astrocytes, which was mainly due to peroxynitrite. In this study, the role of MAPKs (ERK1/2, p38MAPK, and JNK/SAPK) signal pathway in the SIN-1/glucose deprivation-induced death of astrocytes was examined. A combined treatment with glucose deprivation and $50 {\mu}M$ SIN-1, an endogenous peroxynitrite generator, rapidly and markedly increased the death in rat primary astrocytes. Also, SIN-1/glucose deprivation resulted in the activation of MAPKs, which was significantly blocked by the treatment with $20{\mu}M$ MAPKs inhibitors (ERK1/2, PD98059; p38MAPK, SB203580; JNK/SAPK, SP600125). Interestingly, SIN-1/glucose deprivation caused the loss of intracellular ATP level, which was significantly reversed by MAPKs inhibitors. These results suggest that the activation of MAPKs plays an important role in SIN-1/glucose deprivation-induced cell death by regulating the intracellular ATP level.

최근 물류환경의 변화로 제품의 신속한 수송과 고객 지향적 물류서비스 제공의 극대화를 꾀하려는 기업들은 제3자 물류의 활용에 커다란 관심을 가지게 되었다. 기업이 제3자 물류업체 활용을 통한 성과를 높이기 위해서는 고객서비스의 향상, 물류관련 비용의 절감 및 물류활동에 대한 운영효율의 향상을 수행할 수 있는 물류업체를 선정하는 것이 중요하다 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 제3자 물류업체 선정과 관련한 주요 선행연구의 종합적인 고찰을 통하여, 제3자 물류업체 선정에 대한 평가기준들을 도출하였다. 선정을 위한 기준으로 비용, 물류서비스, 업체평가, 정보시스템의 4가지 항목으로 나누었고, 이를 계층화하여 AHP기법을 통하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 상위기준의 상대적 중요도는 물류서비스가 0.425로 가장 높게 나타났고, 비용(0.232), 정보시스템(0.224), 업체평가(0.120) 순으로 나타났다. 비용의 항목에 포함되어 있는 하위기준의 중요도는 경제성이 0.710, 안정성이 0.290으로 나타났다. 물류서비스 항목에 포함되어 있는 하위기준의 중요도는 신뢰성이 0.780, 유연성이 0.220로 나타났다. 업체평가 항목에 포함되어 있는 하위기준의 중요도는 기업역량이 0.507, 관계지향성이 0.493로 나타났다. 정보시스템 항목에 포함되어있는 하위기준의 중요도는 정보인프라가 0.471, 정보활용도는 0.529로 나타났다. 분석에 있어 추가적으로 학계와 실무계 전문가 집단으로 나누어 그 중요도를 산출하였는데, 학계 전문가 집단과 실무계 전문가 집단 모두 상위기준에 있어 물류서비스가 가장 높게 나타났다. 주목할만한 점은 학계 전문가 집단의 경우 정보시스템이 비용보다 더 높게 나타난 반면에, 실무계 전문가 집단은 비용이 정보시스템 보다 더 높게 나타났다는 것이다.

본 연구의 목적은 다이옥신 분해 촉매 반응에 Pt/Al-MCM-41 메조포러스 촉매를 이용할 수 있는 가능성을 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 다이옥신 분해 반응에 대한 모델 반응으로 1,2-dichlorobenzene 분해 반응을 실시하였다. 비교 촉매로는 $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ 촉매를 사용하였다. Post grafting 방법으로 Al-MCM-41 촉매를 제조하여 실험한 결과, Si/Al = 15, 30인 Pt/Al-MCM-41 촉매가 $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ 촉매 보다 우수한 활성을 나타내었다. 이러한 반응 활성은 산점의 양과 밀접한 관계를 나타내었다. 특히 Al-MCM-41을 H-form으로 이온교환하여 반응 실험에 적용한 결과, 활성이 더욱 더 증대되었다.

본 논문에서는 스마트폰 배터리로 사용되는 리튬 이온 배터리에서 과충전, 과방전, 단락 등으로 인한 폭발 위험성을 막기 위해 사용되는 배터리 보호회로 모듈에 대한 정전기 방전 실험을 연구하였다. 실험 시료로 S사의 리튬이온 배터리를 사용하였고, 정전기 방전 인가를 위해 IEC 61000-4-2 표준에 호환되는 ESD Gun simulator를 사용하였다. 배터리 보호회로 모듈의 여러 핀에 2kV ~ 10kV에서는 2kV 단위로 증가시키고, 10kV ~ 30kV에서는 5kV단위로 증가시켜 접촉방전을 인가하였다.

The dry etch characteristics of GaAs over both AlGaAs and InGaP in planar inductively coupled $BCl_3$-based plasmas(ICP) with additions of $SF_6$ or $CF_4$ were studied. The additions of flourine gases provided enhanced etch selectivities of GaAs/AlGaAs and GaAs/InGaP. The etch stop reaction involving formation of involatile $AlF_3$ and $InF_3$ (boiling points of etch products: $AlF_3\sim1300^{\circ}C$, $InF_3$ > $1200^{\circ}C$ at atmosphere) were found to be effective under high density inductively coupled plasma condition. Decrease of etch rates of all materials was probably due to strong increase of flourine atoms in the discharge, which blocked the surface of the material against chlorine neutral adsorption. The process parameters were ICP source power (0 - 500 W), RF chuck power (0 - 30 W) and variable gas composition. The process results were characterized in terms of etch rate, selectivities of GaAs over AlGaAs and InGaP, surface morphology, surface roughness and residues after etching.

Purpose：The purpose of this study was to investigate how much the type of footwear affects these preference and wearing conditions in older women. Methods：Two hundred eight women aged $60{\sim}87$ years were recruited from the elder's College and welfare center in Daegu. Each subject performed questionnaire surveys. Chi-square($X^{-2}$) test was used to compare the outcome for differences of age, weight, height, heel height and footwear size. SPSS 12.0 program was used in this study. Results：The type of their possessive shoes were casual shoes (24.8%), running shoes (20.1%) and dress shoes (16%) etc. The type of their short-distance outdoor shoes were casual shoes (32.1%), running shoes (31.4%) etc. The type of their long-distance outdoor shoes were platform shoes (40.3%), dress shoes (31%) etc. Conclusion：The heel height of platform shoes had no relation with demographic factors (age, weight, height), but the size of platform shoes had relation with demographic factors such as age and height except for weight(p<0.05).

사회적 약자인 청각장애인들의 수화통역 서비스가 대체로 만족스럽게 제공되고 있지 않다. 또한 청각 장애인수 대비 수화통역가의 부족과 일반인과의 즉각적인 소통이 어려워 일상생활에 불편함을 느끼는 청각장애인들이 많다. 이의 문제점을 착안하여 본 연구에서는 청각장애인들이 휴대할 수 있는 수화 통역기를 개발하고자 한다. 청각장애인들의 손동작을 인식할 수 있는 3D센서 립모션(Leap-Motion)을 통해 수화를 인식한다. 립모션 센서와 안드로이드 스마트폰 및 태블릿과 연결하여 손 데이터 값을 분석했다. 분석한 손 데이터 값과 특정 지화(자음, 모음)와 간단한 인사말의 수화동작을 취할 때, 트래킹되는 데이터 값을 비교하여 수화를 인식하고 수화와 인식된 지화의 자음과 모음을 글자로 완성시켜, 텍스트와 음성으로 출력한다. 또한 립모션이 부착된 하드케이스 안에 스마트기기 탈착이 가능한 실용성 있는 수화통역기 제품 개발에 대한 연구를 목표로 하고 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the influences of chronic shoulder pain on the muscle tone in trunk muscles. The study's subjects were 40 men and women in their 30 to 50s, which were divided into two groups. A chronic shoulder pain group consisted of 20 subjects who had been diagnosed with chronic shoulder pain by doctors, and a painless group consisted of 20 subjects who had experienced no such pain. An analysis was performed using electromyography on the muscle tone in the rectus abdominalis, external oblique, internal oblique, and erector spinae muscles under the same conditions between the two groups. The analysis results were as follows. The chronic shoulder pain group exhibited an overall high level of trunk muscle tone than the painless group, along with a statistically significant difference in the rectus abdominalis(p<.05). Moreover, the chronic shoulder pain group showed differences in the trunk muscle tone depending on the affected side. The chronic left shoulder pain group yielded higher levels of muscle tone in the right-side trunk muscles. In particular, the group revealed statistically significant differences in the rectus abdominalis and internal oblique(p<.05). The chronic right shoulder pain group exhibited higher levels of muscle tone in the left-side trunk muscles with a statistically significant difference in the internal oblique(p<.05). The above results suggested that chronic shoulder pain influences increases in the muscle tone in the trunk muscles on the opposite side to the affected shoulder.
