Tunnel magnetoresistive devices using an individual multi-walled carbon nanotube were fabricated and their low-temperature electrical transport propertiers were investigated. With the ferromagnetic Co electrodes, the multi-walled carbon nanotube exhibited hysteretic magnetoresistance curve at low temperatures. Depending on the temperature and the bias current, the magnetoresistance ratio can be as high as 16% at the temperature of 2.2 K. Such high magnetoresistance ratio indicates a long diffusion length of the multi-walled carbon nanotube.

Carbon nanotube(CNT) has been spotlighted as a promising candidate for catalyst support material for PEMFC (proton exchange membrane fuel cell). The considerable properties of CNT include high surface area, outstanding thermal, electrical conductivity and mechanical stability. In this study, to fully utilize the properties of CNTs, we prepared directly oriented CNT on carbon paper as a catalyst support in the cathode electrode. The CNT layer was prepared by a chemical vapor deposition(CVD) process. And the Pt particles were deposited on the CNT oriented carbon paper by impregnation and eletro-deposition method. The potential advantages of directly oriented CNT on carbon paper can include improved thermal and charge transfer through direct contact between the electrolyte and the electrode and enhanced exposure of Pt catalyst sites during the reaction.

This study identified vulnerable regions in the national parks of the Republic of Korea (ROK). The potential vulnerable regions were defined as areas showing a decline in forest productivity, low resilience, and high sensitivity to climate variations. Those regions were analyzed with a regression model and trend analysis using the Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI) data obtained from long-term observed Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) and gridded meteorological data. Results showed the area with the highest vulnerability was Naejangsan National Park in the southern part of ROK where 32.5% ($26.0km^2$) of the total area was vulnerable. This result will be useful information for future conservation planning of forest ecosystem in ROK under environmental changes, especially climate change.

Objectives : To investigate how 『Duchanggyeongheombang』 has been adopted and edited in practical texts such as 『Gosachwalyo』, 『Sallimgyeongje』, 『Gosasinseo』. Methods : Based on the disassembled verses of a paragraph in the 『Duchanggyeongheombang』, the 「Duchanggyeongheombang」 contents in 『Gosachwalyo』, 『Sallimgyeongje』,『Gosasinseo』 were compared and examined. Results : 『Gosachwalyo』 directly summarized and quoted the contents of 『Duchanggyeongheombang』 written by Park, Jinhee, while the contents in 『Sallimgyeongje』 and 『Gosasinseo』 are mostly similar, summarizing and quoting from 『Gosachwalyo』. Conclusions : In the perspective of text categorization, while the professional and specialized contents of 『Duchanggyeongheombang』 has been excluded, it was edited in ways of increasing practicality. As these texts were widely dispersed to the public, we can conclude that 『Duchanggyeongheombang』 was very influential in the treatment of douchang(痘瘡, smallpox) among the public.
