확산모수와 제이슨방파제 기대활동량을 이용한 개정 설계파 분석 (Assessment of New Design Wave by Spread Parameter and Expected Sliding Distance of Caisson Breakwater)

  • 개정설계파의 극치분포를 확산모수를 이용하여 분석하였으며 케이슨방파제 기대활동량 산정을 통하여 확산모수가 방파제 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 확산모수가 통상적 값보다 클 때 극치분포함수를 이용해 발생시킨 년최대 유의파 중에서 50년 빈도 설계파보다 매우 큰 이례적인 파가 발생하는 현상을 확인하였다. 개정설계파의 확산모수는 외국사례와 비교한 결과 상대적으로 큰 값을 가지며 방파제 기대활동량 평가시 결정론적 안전율이 충분히 높은 경우에도 매우 큰 활동량을 유발하는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • As the technology convergence paradigm emerges, the need for "CIA techniques" to analyze the mutual effects of technology is increasing. However, since the CIA input parameter estimation is difficult, the present study suggests a "CIA input parameter setting model" to alleviate the difficulty of CIA input parameter estimation. This paper is focused on the difference of measurement difficulty by each scale which expert's estimation behavior was defined as measurement activity quantifying the judgment of future technology. Therefore, this model is designed to estimate the input variable as a sequence or isometric scale that is relatively easy to measure, and then converts it into a probability value. The input parameter setting model of the CIA technique consists of three sub-models : 'probability value derivation model', 'influence estimation model', and 'impact value calculation model', in order to develop a series of models the Thurstone V model, Regression Analysis, etc has been used.

비침습적 관절질환 진단을 위한 관절음의 시주파수 분석 (Time-frequency Analysis of Vibroarthrographic Signals for Non-invasive Diagnosis of Articular Pathology)

  • Vibroarthrographic(VAG) signals, emitted by human knee joints, are non-stationary and multi-component in nature and time-frequency distributions(TFD) provide powerful means to analyze such signals. The objective of this paper is to classify VAG signals, generated during joint movement, into two groups(normal and patient group) using the characteristic parameters extracted by time-frequency transform, and to evaluate the classification accuracy. Noise within TFD was reduced by singular value decomposition and back-propagation neural network(BPNN) was used for classifying VAG signals. The characteristic parameters consist of the energy parameter, energy spread parameter, frequency parameter, frequency spread parameter by Wigner-Ville distribution and the amplitude of frequency distribution, the mean and the median frequency by fast Fourier transform. Totally 1408 segments(normal 1031, patient 377) were used for training and evaluating BPNN. As a result, the average value of the classification accuracy was 92.3(standard deviation ${\pm}0.9$)%. The proposed method was independent of clinical information, and showed good potential for non-invasive diagnosis and monitoring of joint disorders such as osteoarthritis and chondromalacia patella.

  • The inverse scattering problem is investigated for some second order differential equation with a nonlinear spectral parameter in the boundary condition on the half line [0, $\infty$). In the present paper the coefficient of spectral parameter is not a pure imaginary number and the boundary value problem is not selfadjoint. We define the scattering data of the problem, derive the main integral equation and show that the potential is uniquely recovered.

  • Safety-related motor operated valve(MOV) safety significance for Ulchin Unit 3 was categorized. The safety evaluation of MOV of domestic nuclear power plants affects the generic data used for the quantification of MOV common cause failure(CCF) events in Ulchin Units 3&4 PSA. Therefore, in this paper, MGL(multiple greek letter)parameter ${\beta}$, used for the evaluation of MOV CCF probabilities in Ulchin Units 3&4 probabilistic safety assessment(PSA), was re-estimated and the MOV safety significance was categorized. The re-estimation results of MGL parameter show that the value of(is decreased by 30% compared with the current value used in Ulchin Unit 3&4 PSA. The categorization results of MOV safety significance using the changed value of MGL parameter(show that the number of HSSCs(high safety significant components) is decreased by 54.5% compared with those using the current value of it used in Ulchin Units 3&4 PSA.

Online Parameter Estimation for Wireless Power Transfer Systems Using the Tangent of the Reflected Impedance Angle

  • An online estimation method for wireless power transfer (WPT) systems is presented without using any measurement of the secondary side or the load. This parameter estimation method can be applied with a controlling strategy that removes both the receiving terminal controller and the wireless communication. This improves the reliability of the system while reducing its costs and size. In a wireless power transfer system with an LCCL impedance matching circuit under a rectifier load, the actual load value, voltage/current and mutual inductance can be reflected through reflected impedance measuring at the primary side. The proposed method can calculate the phase angle tangent value of the secondary loop circuit impedance via the reflected impedance, which is unrelated to the mutual inductance. Then the load value can be determined based on the relationships between the load value and the secondary loop impedance. After that, the mutual inductance and transfer efficiency can be computed. According to the primary side voltage and current, the load voltage and current can also be detected in real-time. Experiments have verified that high estimation accuracy can be achieved with the proposed method. A single-controller based on the proposed parameter estimation method is established to achieve constant current control over a WPT system.

  • A special class of exponential dispersion models is the class of Tweedie distributions. This class is very significant in statistical modeling as it includes a number of familiar distributions such as Gaussian, Gamma and compound Poisson. A Tweedie distribution has a power parameter p, a mean m and a dispersion parameter 𝜙. The value of the power parameter lies in identifying the corresponding distribution of the Tweedie family. The basic objective of this research work resides in investigating the existence of the implicit estimator of the power parameter of the Tweedie distribution. A necessary and sufficient condition on the mean parameter m, suggesting that the implicit estimator of the power parameter p exists, was established and we provided some asymptotic properties of this estimator.

  • An algorithm to determine the optimum nominal value of geometrical and material parameters in divice modelling is proposed. The algorithm uses the yield and variance prediction formula and Monte-Carlo analysis. The performance specification of the noise figure must also be satisfied. In this paper, the total number of considered devices is 1000, and each parameter of geometrical and material parameters is generated randomly within the limits of ${\pm}3%$ of nominal value, and the distribution of 1000 geometrical and material parameters is gaussing distribution.

  • We consider the problem of estimating the scale parameter of the Weibull distribution based on multiply Type-II censored samples. We propose two estimators by using the approximate maximum likelihood estimation method for Weibull and extreme value distributions. The proposed estimators are compared in the sense of the mean squared error.

증발량 추정을 위한 지표면 가용 수분 계수 (On the Surface Moisture Availability Parameters to Estimate the Surface Evaporation)

  • In order to discuss the differences among the SMP(Surface Moisture Availability Parameter), by previous researchers on the basis of their own theoretical and empirical background, we assessed the SMP according to the soil types and volumetric soil water contents. The results are as follows. There are differences among all the five SMAPs. There's a tendency that the larger grain size, the higher value of parameters. And they divided into two groups for their value: one group has parameters with exponential function and the other with cosine and linear function. The maximum difference between the two groups appears when the volumetric soil water contents are 0.07m3m-3 for sand, 0.l1m3m-3 for loam, 0.12 for clay, and 0.13m3m-3 for silt loam. So, these differences must be considered when we estimate the surface evaporation rate. From field data, the paddy field soil around Junam reservoir is classified as a silt has high wetness, 0.56. So, the parameter obtained from the field measurement is much higher than that of Clapp and Hornberger(1978)'s Table. This study treated the SMP for a certain point of time in winter season. But if we measured the soil water contents continuously, we could obtain better time-dependent parameter.
