병렬형 하이브리드 구동용 매입형 영구자석동기전동기 설계에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Design of Flat-Type IPMSM in Parallel Hybrid Traction Application)

  • This study investigates the design factors of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) which is applied to Hybrid electric vehicle as a driving power. Recently, there are many studies of IPMSM for application to Hybrid Electric Vehicle, because IPMSM has characteristics of high torque, high power density and high efficiency which come from reluctance torque due to difference of inductance as well as magnet torque. This study analyzes the inductance and design characteristics of IPMSM by using finite element method and focuses on design and analysis of IPMSM which can operates with high efficiency at low speed range. For this embodiment, magnet shape is changed from conventional block type to arc type without any change of outline dimension of motor and this change of magnet shape makes it possible to increase back EMF and sinusoidal waveform. Analysis results are verified by test of improved and embodied motor. As a test result , increased back EMF and sharply decrease of harmonics are secured and through this contribution of reduced fuel consumption of Hybrid electric vehicle is expected.

회생제동 전자제어 유압모듈을 이용한 하이브리드 차량의 에너지 회수 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Energy Regeneration Algorithm using Electro-Hydraulic Braking Module for Hybrid Electric Vehicles)

  • In this paper, an energy regeneration algorithm is proposed to make the maximum use of the regenerative braking energy for a parallel hybrid electric vehicle(HEV) equipped with a continuous variable transmission(CVT). The regenerative algorithm is developed by considering the battery state of charge(SOC), vehicle velocity and motor capacity. The hydraulic module consists of a reducing valve and a power unit to supply the front wheel brake pressure according to the control algorithm. In order to evaluate the performance of the regenerative braking algorithm and the hydraulic module, a hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS) is performed. In the HILS system, the brake system consists of four wheel brakes and the hydraulic module. Dynamic characteristics of the HEV are simulated using an HEV simulator. In the HEV simulator, each element of the HEV powertrain such as internal combustion engine, motor, battery and CVT is modelled using MATLAB/$Simulink^{(R)}$. In the HILS, a driver operates the brake pedal with his or her foot while the vehicle speed is displayed on the monitor in real time. It is found from the HILS that the regenerative braking algorithm and the hydraulic module suggested in this paper provide a satisfactory braking performance in tracking the driving schedule and maintaining the battery state of charge.

  • To minimize the fuel consumption in the hybrid vehicle, the single performance index, which can express the fuel consumption in engine and electric energe consumption in battery system at the same time, is required. In this study we proposed a single performance index with equivalent BSFC concept, and with this, we constructed driving control algorithm, which can determine optimal gear ratio and power split ratio of the engine and the motor, for the parallel hybrid vehicle. Additionally, to verify the validity of this algorithm, driving simulation is performed.

  • 전기자동차(Electric Vehicle, EV)와 하이브리드 전기자동차(Hybrid Electric Vehicle, HEV)의 성능과 수명주기 비용은 배터리 팩에 좌우된다. 팩 내부의 비정상적인 온도분포는 전지간의 전기적인 불균형을 가져오고 팩의 성능을 떨어뜨리기 때문에 팩 내부의 온도 균일성은 EV와 HEV용 전지 팩의 최적 성능을 위한 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 EV와 HEV용 리튬이온전지 팩의 열적 거동을 예측하기 위해 삼차원 전산 모사를 하였다. 전지 팩의 열전도도는 각종 구성요소의 열전도 저항이 직렬과 병렬로 연결되어 있는 것으로 간주하였다. 셀에서의 열 발생량은 전지내부의 전기화학적 반응에 의한 반응열과 전류의 흐름과 내부저항에 의한 열을 고려하여 계산 하였다.

2륜 및 4륜 구동 하이브리드 전기 자동차의 후방향 시뮬레이션 기반 연비 및 성능 평가 (Evaluation of Fuel Economy and Performance for 2WD and 4WD Hybrid Electric Vehicle Based on Backward Simulation)

  • Recently, not only common types of hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) such as series or parallel but many other types of HEVs including 4WD hybrid electric vehicle have been developed and released. In this study, analysis of fuel economy and driving performance for 2WD and 4WD HEV are conducted using backward simulation based on dynamic programming. To analyze the characteristics of 4WD HEV, tire slip model based on vehicle dynamics was applied to the backward simulation program. As a result, 2WD HEV shows better fuel economy than 4WD HEV because of relatively simple configuration. However, in a severe road condition, 4WD HEV shows better driving performance that 2WD HEV had about 6% of impossible time to follow the driving cycle though the 4WD HEV had no impossible time.

  • Toyota사의 PRIUS THS 시스템을 이용하여 HEV 알고리즘 분석을 통한 THS의 주행 모드 변환에 따른 실시간 모니터링 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 병렬형 하이브리드 시스템의 경우에 엔진과 전동기를 주행 상태 최적인 상태로 운행하기 위해서는 다양한 제어전략이 필요하다. 본 연구를 통하여 주행 가능한 THS 차량의 주행에 필요한 입 출력 정보를 실시간적으로 모니터링할 수 있는 시스템을 개발한 결과, 하이브리드 자동차의 동력 분할 및 에너지 활용을 극대화시키기 위한 수단의 하나로 차량의 주행모드 변화에 따른 각 구성요소의 동작 상태를 모니터링 가능하게 되었다. 개발된 시스템은 제어전략의 체계적인 수립과 실시간 데이터 분석이 가능하기 때문에 HEV자동차의 알고리즘 분석해석을 통해 HEV자동차의 개발 기반에 유용하게 활용될 것이다.

  • High oil price and global warming problem are being continued all over the world. For this reason, fuel economy and emission of greenhouse gas are regulated by law in many countries. Therefore many companies are researching and producing hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) which substitute conventional internal combustion engine vehicle. However, these researches and productions are restricted to mainly passenger cars. Because of cost and physical problems, commercial vehicles are difficult to evaluate fuel economy. So simulations are important and it is necessary to know how sensitive parameters that enter into simulation affect. In this paper, forward simulations using AVL Cruise were conducted for analysis of fuel economy for parallel hybrid bus and were repeated by changing each parameter. Based on these results, root mean square errors (RMSE) are calculated for analysis of fuel economy sensitivity. The number of target parameters are 15. These parameters were classified with high and low sensitivity parameter relatively.

신개념 하이브리드 동력장치 개발 (Development of a new hybrid power system)

  • In this paper, a new drive system(SHS) for hybrid electric vehicle is proposed. As dual rotor hybrid electric vehicle using planetary gearsets, the SHS has the advantages of both series and parallel systems. The output speed and torque of SHS can be determined at specific point regardless of the engine's operating point. When the size of generator which is used in SHS is same as in THS, the SHS has more activities of engine control due to the ability that is operated in lower speed range. To maximize the performance of system, we carried out optimization for the three parameters that are engine, motorl and motor2. As the result of the optimization, we confirmed the SHS is more preferable to THS in fuel consumption and acceleration area.

  • Growing environmental and economic concerns have lead to recent efforts to produce more fuel efficient and lower emissions vehicles. Hybrid Electric Vehicles(ab. HEVs) are the most promising designs to reach these goals. In this paper, We present an of a Power Tra the Hybrid Electric Vehicle(at. PTHEV). We int a different concept of PTHEV than in the pr research of PTHEV. This PTHEV includes benefits of serial(Minimum emission and Max efficiency) and parallel(Maximum Power efficiency by direct drive engine) PTHEV. Also mechanism can avoid driving the engine in the speed regions.
