This paper aims to analyse the factors influencing the implementation of smart factories and their performance after implementation, using the grounded theory analysis method based on interview data. The research subjects were 21 companies that were selected by the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Group under the SME Technology Information Promotion Agency in 2020-2021 as the best case smart factory implementation companies, and introduced the intermediate stage 1 or above. A total of 87 concepts were generated as a result of the analysis. We were able to classify them into 16 detailed categories, and finally derived six broad categories. These six categories are "motivation for adoption", "adoption context", "adoption level", "technology adoption", "usage effect" and "management effect". As a result of the overall structure analysis, it was found that the adoption level of smart factory is determined by the adoption motivation, the IT technology experience affects the adoption level, the adoption level determines the usage and usage satisfaction, internal and external training affects the usage and usage satisfaction, and the performance or results obtained by the usage and usage are reduced defect rate, improved delivery rate and improved productivity. This study was able to derive detailed variables of environmental factors and technical characteristics that affect the adoption of smart factories, and explore the effects on the usage effects and management effects according to the level of adoption. Through this study, it is possible to suggest the direction of adoption according to the characteristics of SMEs that want to adopt smart factories.

As factory automation is required, using the vision system is also essential. Especially, the pateh planning of parts with J-lead on PCB plays a import role of whole automation. Path planning is required because J-lead is scatteed compaed to L-lead on PCB. Therefore, in this paper, we propose path planning of part inspection with J-lead to use Hopfield Model(TSP : Traveling Salesman Problem). Then optical system suited to J-lead inspection is designed and the algorithm of J-lead solder joint and part inspection is proposed.

The advent of microprocessor controls and robotics is rapidly changing the face of manufacturing throughout the world. Large and small companies alike are adopting these new methods to improve the efficiency of their operations. Factory Automation, which is in reality by robots, is playing more important role in economic competition and growth. Its core technology, i.e. robotics, is advanced in accordance with the remarkable progress of the computer technology and micro-electronics. Roughly speaking, its future might determine the fate of a national economy. In this paper, the future trends of such robotics and factory automation are described from a point of view of industrial application.

In this paper, an interface method for MMS on ATM networks is proposed. It can apply to the realtime communication and the remote control in wide-area manufacturing complex and virtual factory. It is used for the downloading program, the reporting and gathering of data and the remote control for the remote client. The developed interface rule is basd on the rule for MMS on TCP/IP. The main goals of implementation are to verify whether MMS on ATM is able to meet the requirements of factory automation and manufacturing complex.

Due to the highly ocmpetitive and volatile manufacturing environment, the field of operation management has received increasing attention in recent years as having strategic importances. This study is about the korean manufacturing strategy and the factory automain levels on the product-process matrixes. In this paper, after reviewing the researches about manufacturing strategy and product-process matrixes, we proposed a conceptual model for satisfied factory automation levels.

The problem of productivity improvement is one of the most challenging problems facing the world economy. This paper studies an analysis of improving personal-computer(PC) company productivity through factory automation. It attempts to analyze value added productivity at the company level. The index measured will effectively help managers supervise their companys. This study justifies that the proposed approach will stimulate manager's profit-motivation by providing them with value-oriented management instead of quantity-oriented method.

The pneumaic systems are widely applied to chemical factory of fire dangry and factory automation. by using compressed air, it is difficult to dynamics action analysis that the pneumatics system acts to nonlinear motion through orifices and valve flow. This paper was studied to a nonlinear chararistics of pneumaic spring, damper and absorber of pneumaic cushion cylinder.

Community noise has been serious social issues in Korea. The community noise concerns on traffic, industrial and apartment complex noise. In industrial noise, construction, factory sectors are included. This paper summerizes the final report prepared for MOE in 2005 by authors. The new policy will be enforced beginning in 2006 with 5 year schedule. Details on the policy will be demonstrated at the presentation.

In this paper, It is proposed collecting, processing, and learning of data with PIC16F877 and Acode 300[3], constructing database in PC. The PIC16F877 microcontroller nodes are the radio sensor and the DC motor controller. The PC of flexible factory level construct the data-table for object-oriented optimal environment control. The DC Motor control command is decision with back-propagation.

Automatic Train Protection(ATP) System is developed by ETCS(European Train Control System) CONSORTIUM for unify Europe railway system. ATP system is composed of Eurobalise and EuroATC. Nowadays, Korea construct ATP system in conventional line and new electrical locomotives also install ATP system. It is important to verify quality which form checklist during Factory Acceptance Test at beyond the seas. In this paper, review the process, test item, norm and checklist for the Balise Transmission Module, Compact Antenna Unit, Vehicle Control Unit and Communication Controller at the Plymouth Bombardier and Vasteras enics factory.
