  • This study investigates to investigate the factors that influence user resistance of mobile payment services. We suggested individual and technical characteristics of mobile payment services as factors influencing perceived risk and user resistance. In addition, we suggested negative security recognition as moderating variable. To test the proposed hypotheses, we collected 349 survey responses from the users of mobile payment services and conducted structural equation modeling with SmartPLS2.0. The results show that, first, negative social influence, risk aversion and distrust in existing services had an effect on the perceived risk. Second, the pace of change and vulnerability had an effect on the perceived risk. Third, perceived risk affected the user resistance while negative security recognition is related to the relationship between perceived risk and user resistance.

  • Unlike the past several decades when over 90% of unwed mothers chose to adopt their children, the number of never-married mothers who determine to raise their children for themselves has recently been increasing. However, many unwed mothers are still suffering from a diversity of problems including poverty, discrimination and biased stereotypes. To this end, this study aims to observe the development process of social policy for unwed mothers in Korea, with a special focus on the policy paradigm shift, and examine current social services for never-married mothers and their children. The results of the study shows the paradigm shift of social policy for unwed mothers occurred around the mid-2000's towards helping never-married mothers rear their children. However, social services for them have not kept pace with the paradigm change, which makes still very much hard for unwed mothers to raise their kids on their own. The study concludes with policy implications for improving social services for families headed by never-married mothers.

  • PURPOSE: To find out how wearing a mask due to COVID-19 affects cardiovascular function as the pace of walking changes. METHODS: Forty-nine college students (27 men, 22 women) were subjected to treadmill exercises without masks (Group I) and wearing masks (Group II). The body temperature, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure were measured to determine the changes in cardiovascular function. These parameters were measured at rest (Control I), low-intensity (Control II), medium-intensity (Control III), and high-intensity (Control IV) before and after exercise. RESULTS: Significant differences in heart rate were observed between Control III and Control IV, and a significant difference in oxygen saturation was noted in Control IV. Significant differences in the exercise intensity change in Group II were as follows: Body temperature was Control IV compared to Control I and Control II, heart rate was Control III and Control IV compared to Control I and Control II, and Control IV compared to Control III. The heart rate was Control III and Control IV compared to Control I and Control II, Control IV for Control III, oxygen saturation was Control IV compared to Control I, blood pressure was Control II and Control III and Control IV compared to Control I, and Control IV compared to Control II. CONCLUSION: Exercising when wearing a mask affects the cardiovascular system. Therapists should consider the patient's condition when setting the exercise intensity. In particular, therapists should be more careful when setting the exercise intensity of patients with cardiovascular disease.

  • Technology developments accelerate the change of the society and companies with unparalleled pace, so large scaled projects are in progress urgently. Large scaled projects deal with high technologies and massive tasks, and these need enormous labor force and costs, it is necessary to manage strategic conflicts based on human psychology and complex system theory. However, traditional management plan fails to suggest practical mechanism for successful projects. We study failure cases and key elements, leadership for projects, and suggest project management plan with psychological and behavioral economy approach by focusing on complexity and conflict structure on large scaled projects. Project behavior management plan, suggested in this study, is designed with phased strategy and practice to solve the failure of large scaled IT projects originally and preemptively. We verified the effectiveness of behavior management plan suggested by investigating experts and working groups, and stable projects are to be progressed with introducing this plan on large-scaled projects.

  • The relationship of mind and body has stimulated extensive discussion for a long time. However, answers are ambigous and not forthcoming yet. Meanwhile, after the western medicine had embraced materialistic paradigm, conditions which cannot be substantiated by organic change were pushed out to periphery under the banner of "Medically Unexplained Symptoms". Medical experts endeavored to understand these mysterious illnesses based on the mind-body relationship and provided a frame of interpretation called Psychosomatic Medicine. This frame of interpretation had influenced not only the communication practice but also the health-seeking behavior and even the subjective experience of patients regarding their illnesses. The frame of interpretation had been drastically changed many times keeping pace with the socio-economic situation and the new scientific discoveries. Accordingly, body or mind was given differential importance by medical experts. For instance, when treatment modalities were lacking, mind was given excessive importance and patients were blamed for their unconscious motives, characterological weaknesses and for their lack of responsibility. In contrast, after the discovery of effective drug, mind was given no more attention and patients were no longer blamed for their contribution to suffering. In this paper, the historical change of the frame of interpretation for understanding migraine and headache was presented as an example. By this, it can be demonstrated how the frame of interpretation has modified the subjective experience of patients, and how the patients' responsibilities were viewed differently. This observation can help to realize the enormous influence of the frame of interpretation provided by medical experts.

  • The change in mean absorbance values for IgA/IgE in rats and mice infected with Echinostoma hortense metacercariae was studied from the 2nd week to the 8th week after infection. Serum and intestinal luminal content (ILC) levels of IGA/IGE were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). The mean absorbance values obtained from IgA in the rats' ILC increased from the 2nd week to the 8th week after infection. The peak value (0.47$\pm$0.01) appeared in the 8th week. The mean absorbance values of IgE in the rats' ILC didn't increase significantly (p>0.05). The worm recovery rate decreased at a slower, pace after, infection. The duration in which the peak value of IgA in rats' ILC appeared was similar to that in which the worm recovery rate declined significantly. Serum levels of IgA/IgE in mice increased gradually from the 2nd week after infection. The peak value (0.45$\pm$0.01) of IgA appeared in the 8th week, and that (0.23$\pm$0.02) of IgE appeared in the 7th week after infection. The ILC level of IgA in mice continued to increase after infection, and reached its peak in the 8th week. The change in IgA/lgE in the serum and IgA in the ILC of mice was inversely related to worm recovery rate. As a result of this experiment, it is supposed that IgA/IgE may play an important role in the expulsion of Echinostoma hortense.
