Colloidal Liquid Aphrons(CLAs) were prepared from different solvents such as nonpolar hydrocarbons, alcohols, and amines. Water-soluble surfactant and oil-soluble surfactant were used in this study. The effect of PVR (phase volume ratio) and concentration of extractant on the stability of CLA was investigated. The stability of CLA was affected by PVR. As PVR was increased, the stability of CLA was decreased.

This paper presents a low-complexity algorithm lot browsing a HD bit stream in DTV PVR according to its characteristics and also presents its implementation results. We propose an efficient algorithm which detects shots using some information after decoding MPEG-2 data, clusters them into scene and episode, and intelligently browses them according to some criteria after calculating their complexity. Some simulation results are presented to show the performance feasibility of the proposed algorithm. To implement it in real time, we propose an efficient hybrid architecture which partitions the algorithm into two parts of hardware and software. The hardware covers decoding process and extraction of some basic information which take most complexity in implementing the algorithm. The software covers the heuristic part of tile algorithm which has low complexity and needs to be expandable.

본 논문의 목표는 일체형 디지털 TV에서 디지털 방송 수신과 방송 컨텐츠를 녹화, 저장, 재생이 가능할 뿐만 아니라 조만간 시작될 데이터 방송을 수신할 수 있는 내장형 디지털 방송수신 및 개인 비디오 저장 시스템 Platform 개발이다. 디지털 방송과 데이터방송 수신이 가능한 Set-Top Box 기능, 수신된 방송의 저장 및 재생이 가능한 PVR 기능을 지원할 수 있는 시스템의 구조를 설계하였다. 고품질 디지털 방송 서비스가 본격적으로 시작됨에 따라 디지털 방송 수신기와 PVR 기능이 복합된 제품의 수요가 증가할 것으로 예상되며 이러한 고성능 복합시스템은 필수적일 것이다. 이러한 기능을 수행하기 위하여 시스템 제어를 위한 CPU로는 PMC-Sierra 사의 MIPS Architecture에 기반을 둔 RM5231을 채택하고, Teralogic 사의 TL811 System Controller을 채택하여 시스템을 이루고 있는 각종 디바이스를 구성하고, MPEG-2 Demux/Decoding을 위해 Teralogic TL851 Graphics & Display Processor을 채택하였다. 개발된 시스템을 테스트하기 위하여 현재 각 방송사들의 시험 방송을 수신하고 PVR 기능을 테스트하였다.

Since 1978, We have experienced 87 cases of Fontan operations and the candidates of that increased in numbers recently with the improvement of the diagnostic and operative technique. We studied the prerequisite factors and hemodynamics of 22 cases of Fontan operations, done during the last one year period, which were 3 tricuspid atresia, 16 functional single ventricle and 3 anatomic single ventricle. The mean age was 68 months and the mortality rate 24%, and 9 patients of under 4 years of age were operated with 22.2% mortality rate, but the youngest, 16 months of age, patient survived well without problems. The preoperative pulmonary artery pressure[PAP], pulmonary vascular resistance[PVR] and postoperative right atrial pressure[RAP], left atrial pressure[LAP] value influenced the mortality, but age, preoperative Hb, preoperative PaO2 and pulmonary artery index[PAI] did not. There were favorable survival tendency in under 15mmHg of preop. PAP, 2a of preop. PVR and under 25cmHyO of postop. RAP, under 15cmHyO of postop LAP. The younger, the more pleural effusion and the longer postoperative admission days. The higher preop. Hb related to the higher postop. transpulmonary pressure gradient and the lower preop. PaO2 and PAI. The higher preop. PaO2, the less pleural effusion and postop. admission days. Preop. PAP closely related to preop. PVR and postop. LAP and high PVR increased the pleural effusion and postop. admission days. The larger PAI, the larger CI. We concluded that there were so many factors influencing the postoperative condition, but preop. PAP, PVR, Hb, postop. RAP and LAP were the most ones.

Forty-five patients, aged 16 months to 15.5 years mean 69 months, with a wide variety of cardiac malformations underwent the modified Fontan operation between Sep. 1986 to Aug. 1988. Nineteen patients had previously undergone palliative operations mainly modified B-T shunt. Twenty patients had a mean pulmonary artery pressure greater than 15 mmHg, with nine operative deaths. Thirteen patients had anomalies of systemic venous connection and seven patients had anomalies of pulmonary venous connection. There were eighteen patients under the age 4 years and fifteen of them survived [83.3%]. Eighteen patients had a pulmonary vascular resistance [PVR] more than 2.5U/m, and nine died [50%] whereas two of twenty-three with a PVR less than 2.5U/m died[8.6%]. PVR and anomalies of pulmonary venous connection had a significant influence on survival, but age and anomalies of systemic venous connection did not. Amount of pleural effusion drained postoperatively and PVR had positive linear correlation. Pulmonary artery pressure was not an independent predictor of outcome and pulmonary artery pressure alone should not contraindicate a Fontan procedure if PVR is low. In general, the Fontan operation should be done at a younger age less than 4 year to avoid ventricular dysfunction due to long-standing exposure to hypoxia.

디지털 방송과 함께 저장매체를 갖는 PVR과 셋탑박스가 출현하였지만 방대한 컨텐츠에 대한 선택의 어려움이 발생하였다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 PVR에서는 TV-Anytime과 MPEG-7 표준을 기반으로 멀티미디어 데이터에 대한 메타데이터를 제공한다. 이 메타데이터는 멀티미디어 데이터를 표현하는 특징적인 정보를 포함하고 있어, 컨텐츠에 대한 선택과 검색을 돕는다. 그러나 메타데이터는 그 내용이 방대한 XML document로 구성되어 있어, 효율적이고 빠른 검색이 쉽지 않다. 본 논문은 이러한 XML 메타데이터의 특성을 기반으로 효율적인 검색을 위한 XML 메타데이터 엔진을 설계한다. 제안하는 XML 메타데이터 엔진은 메타데이터의 정보적 특성을 기반으로 인덱싱 구조를 설계하여 XML 메타데이터의 접근 시간을 최소화한다.

디지털 기술이 나날이 발전함에 따라 정지영상 압축 기술의 대표적이라 찰 수 있는 JPEG이 탄생하면서 디지털 임상은 급격한 발전을 거듭해 왔다. 이에 동영상 압축 기술 MPEG이 탄생하였고, MPEG은 1, 2, 4 를 비롯하여 7, 21로 발전을 거듭하고 있다. PVR은 방송을 디지털로 저장하는 기기로써 시청자가 원하는 시간에 원하는 방송을 시청할 수 있게 해 준다. PVR이 많은 컨텐츠를 저장할 수 있게 되자, 사용자는 컨텐츠에 대한 효과적인 검색 및 브라우징을 필요로 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 컨텐츠를 기술하는 메타데이터를 이용한 의미기반 브라우징 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법에서는 메타데이터에 있는 키워드와 인물정보, 장르, MPEG-7의 color descriptor를 이용한다.

이 논문은 개인용 비디오 녹화기(PVR)의 전자 프로그램 가이드(EPG) 서비스에 관한 것으로, PVR과 EPG의 연동으로 TV 방송 프로그램 녹화 진행 상태를 EPG상에 표시하는 방법을 제안한다. 이 과정은 다채널 방송의 프로그램 편성 정보인 EPG를 수신하고, EPG에서 방송 컨텐츠 편성기를 통해 적어도 하나 이상의 예약 녹화 화를 한 후, 예약 녹화에 의해 해당 프로그램의 녹화를 시작해서 현재 녹화중인 프로그램을 표시해주는 3단계로 이루어진다. 본 논문의 PVR의 EPG상에서 녹화 진행 상태 표시 방법은 개인용 비디오 녹화기에서 사용되는 전자프로그램 가이드에 현재 녹화중인 프로그램을 표시해 줌으로써 사용자가 프로그램을 선택하는 데 있어서 보다 많은 정보를 제공할 수 있고, 현재 녹화 진행 상태를 알 수 있어 편리한 사용자 인터페이스로 활용될 수 있다.

Social study for province textbook is very difficulty for experience and learning in classroom because the contents of social study for province text book is consist of contents about very far away places. And there are less contents than normal subject. Especially, children need experiences and enough contents for learning in social study for province textbook. The purpose of this paper are as follows: 1) design and implementation of PVR contents 2) applying 4th grade social study for province textbook 3) inspecting for satisfaction degree and result of students about the efficiency of PVR contents.
