실제 일사프로파일에 근거한 PV 패널의 최적 MPPT 제어주기 (Optimum MPPT Control Period for PV Panel based on Real Insolation Profile)

  • 태양광발전시스템은 낮은 효율의 PV 패널을 사용하여 최대의 전력을 생산하기 위해 PV 패널의 최대전력점에서 운전하는 MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) 제어가 반드시 필요하다. 기존의 MPPT 알고리즘은 대부분 경사법에 기초하고 있으며 그 중 대표적인 방법이 P&O(Perturb and Observe) 알고리즘이다. P&O 알고리즘의 MPPT 성능을 좌우하는 두 가지 인수는 MPPT 제어주기와 변량전압의 크기이다. MPPT 제어기의 빠른 동특성과 극대화된 효율을 위한 최적의 MPPT 제어주기와 변량전압의 크기를 결정하기 위해서는 실제 날씨 환경에서 다양한 일사량 프로파일 패턴에 대한 MPPT 제어기의 성능분석이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 대한민국 중부지역의 전형적인 맑은 날씨와 흐린 날씨에서 실제 일사량을 측정하고, 취득한 일사량데이터를 기초로 저자가 개발한 다이오드 등가모델을 적용하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 이를 기반으로 MPPT 제어주기의 설정값에 따른 PV 패널의 전력생산량을 예측하여 MPPT 목표 효율을 극대화할 수 있는 최적의 MPPT 제어주기를 제시한다.

  • Perimeter zone is one of the weakest area in buildings and it makes an increase of heating and cooling loads, in addition to condensation or discomfort with cold-draft to residents in winter. Because of this, it needs to be reinforced by active systems. However, they use fossil fuel, and ultimately greenhouse effect is urged. Thus, we proposed BIPV system functioned as solar collector which can substitute active system. As an fundamental stage, heat balance equation in steady-state by Fortran was used not only, in winter for pre-heating effect and electric power capacity during the day, but also in summer, for the latter during the day and sky radiation effect during the night. Especially, we should have considered shading on PV by IES Suncast, since even a little bit of it makes the efficiency too low for the PV modules to work. As a result, in summer day, the PV panel should be tiled in 70 degrees to gain the most electric power. Moreover, we could verify that this model makes higher temperature and heat flux under 0.02 m/s. On the other hand, the PV had the high efficiency with high velocity because of cooling effect behind the PV. Therefore, we should regard the air current distribution later on.

단축식 태양광 추적장치의 설계와 발전량 증대기술 (Technology of single-axis solar tracking system and power generation increase)

  • 태양광 발전 시스템은 태양광 패널을 통해 발전된 전력을 계통연계를 통해 전송하는 종합 시스템이다. 발전량을 증대시키는 기술로써 태양광 입사각을 변화시켜 발전량을 증대시키는 추적식 태양광 발전장치 기술이 있다. 본 논문은 입사각을 변화시켜 발전량을 증대시키는 단축 추적식 태양광 발전장치의 구조물과 제어에 관한 연구이다. 핵심 내용은 태양광 구조물이 남북축을 중심으로 동서 방향으로 축회전하도록 구성한 단축 제어장치 및 기술이다. 일출로부터 일몰까지 동서방향으로 태양을 추종하는 태양광 구조물은 구조적 안정성과 태양광 추종 제어 성능 확보가 필요하다. 단축 추적 발전장치는 최대 25% 이상의 발전량 증대를 기대할 수 있다.

  • The application of photovoltaics into building as integrated building components has been paid more attention worldwide. Photovoltaics or solar electric modules are solid state devices, directly converting solar radiation into electricity; the process does not require fuel and any moving parts, and produce no pollutants. And the prefab building method is very effective because the pre- manufactured building components is simply assembled to making up buildings in the construction fields especially the sandwich panel. So, the purpose of this research is to integrated prefab building materials depending on the cooling type of PV modules. It is concluded that the prediction of BIPV system's performance should be based on the more accurate PV module temperature. From the basis of these results on the correlation of temperature and irradiation were obtained.

Photovoltaic Generation System Simulation using Real Field Weather Conditions

  • Actual system apparatuses are necessary in order to verify the efficiency and stability of photovoltaic(PV) generation systems considering the size of solar panel, the sort of converter type, and the load conditions and so on. Moreover, it is hardly possible to compare a certain MPPT control scheme with others under the exactly same weather and load conditions as well. For the purpose of solving above mentioned difficulties in a laboratory basis, a transient simulation of PV generation system using real field weather conditions is indispensable. A straightforward simulation scheme with cost effective hardware structures under real weather conditions is proposed in this paper using EMTDC type of transient analysis simulators. Firstly, a solar cell has been modeled with VI characteristic equations, and then the real field data of weather conditions are interfaced to the EMTDC through Fortran program interface method. As a result, the stability and the efficiency analysis of PV generation systems according to various hardware structures and MPPT controls are easily possible under the exactly same weather conditions.

  • The application of photovoltaics into building as integrated building components has been paid more attention worldwide. Photovoltaics or solar electric modules are solid state devices, directly converting solar radiation into electricity; the process does not require fuel and any moving parts, and produce no pollutants. And the prefab building method is very effective because the pre- manufactured building components is simply assembled to making up buildings in the construction fields especially the sandwich panel. Architecture considerations for the integration of PV module to building envelope such as building structure, construction type, safety, regulation, maintenance etc. have been carefully refelected from the early stage of BIPV module design. Trial product of BIPV module are manufactured and sample construction details for demonstration building are purposed. Therefore, this paper intends to advanced its practical use by proposing how to get integrated PV system which can be applied to prefab building material, and how to apply it.

  • The main objective of this paper is to design DC-DC MPPT circuit using chaotic pulse width modulation to track maximum power from solar PV module for space application. The direct control method of tracking is used to extract maximum power. The nominal duty cycle of the main switch of DC-DC SEPIC converter is adjusted so that the solar panel output impedance is equal to the input resistance of the SEPIC converter which results better spectral performance in the tracked voltages when compared to conventional PWM control. The conversion efficiency of the proposed MPPT system is increased when CPWM is used as a control scheme

  • A photovoltaic panel is a device that, through the photovoltaic effect, converts luminous energy into electric energy. Photovoltaic generation system uses infinity of sofa energy, cost of fuel is needless and there is no air pollution or waste occurrence. This paper summarizes the results of these efforts by offering a photovoltaic system structure in 50kW large scale applications installed in Chosun University dormitory roof and simulation tool. This describes configuration of utility interactive photovoltaic system which generated power supply for dormitory. In this Paper represent 50kW utility PV system examination result.

  • 태양광발전시스템은 최대의 전력을 생산하기 위하여 PV 패널의 운전을 최대전력점에서 동작하게 하는 MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) 제어가 필요하다. 그중 대표적인 방법인 P&O(Perturb and Observe) 알고리즘은 전류와 전압을 측정하여 계산된 전력의 값이 최대가 되는 전압의 운전점을 찾는다. 그러나 센서의 측정오차로 인하여 발전전력의 계산 및 전압의 제어에 불규칙한 오차가 발생하여 정확한 MPP 운전점을 찾지 못하는 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 전형적인 맑은 날씨와 흐린 날씨에서 취득한 일사량 데이터와 전류 및 전압 센서의 오차를 고려하여 P&O 알고리즘에 의한 전력 생산량을 시뮬레이션 한다. 시뮬레이션 분석을 통해 실제 날씨 및 센서허용오차 조건에서 MPPT 목표 효율을 극대화할 수 있는 최적의 MPPT 제어주기와 변량전압의 크기를 제시한다.
