This study was conducted to investigate the downward mobility of pesticides using soil colunms and to compare the experimental results with predicted values from Convective mobility test model. Five pesticides including ethoprophos, procymidone, iprobenfos, isoprothiolane, and butachlor were subjected to soil column leaching test for three types of cultivation soils. The concentrations of ethoprophos, iprobenfos, procymidone, isoprothiolane and butachlor leached from soil column of 30 cm depth ranged $0.74{\sim}3.61mg/mL,\;0.36{\sim}1.67mg/L,\;0.16{\sim}0.84mg/L,\;0.16{\sim}0.67mg/L$ and lower than 0.15 mg/L, respectively. Elution volume to reach the peak of ethoprophos, iprobenfos, procymidone, isoprothiolane and butachlor in the leachate ranged $2{\sim}4PV,\;3{\sim}10PV,\;5{\sim}13PV,\;4{\sim}14PV\;and\;19{\sim}61PV$, respectively. Convection times predicted by Convective mobility test model at standard conditions were $9{\sim}18$ days for ethoprophos, $17{\sim}35$ days for iprobenfos, $24{\sim}54$ days for isoprothiolane, $21{\sim}65$ days for procymidone and $105{\sim}279$ days for butachlor. Based on these convection times, ethoprophos was classified as mobile or most mobile, isoprothiolane and procymidone as moderately mobile or mobile and butachlor as slightly mobile. On the same conditions, convection times from the model were coincided with those from soil column test in most of the soil-pesticide combinations applied. Therefore, Convective mobility test model could be applied to predict convection times of pesticides.

Solar cells in a PV module are connected in series and parallel to produce a higher voltage and current. The PV module has performance characteristics depending on solar radiation and temperature. In addition, the PV system causes power loss by special situations, including the shadows of the surrounding environment, such as nearby buildings and trees. In other words, an increase in power loss and a decrease in life cycle can occur because of the partial shadow and hot-spot effect. Therefore, this paper proposes the optimal configuration algorithm of a bypass diode to improve the output of a PV module and one of a PV array to minimize the loss of the PV array. In addition, this paper presents a model of a PV module and PV array based on the PSIM S/W. The simulation results confirmed that the proposed optimal configuration algorithms are useful tools for improving the performance of PV system.
Bacterial blossom blight of kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa) caused by Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae is known to be largely affected by weather conditions during the blooming period. While there have been many studies that investigated scientific relations between weather conditions and the epidemics of bacterial blossom blight of kiwifruit, no forecasting models have been developed thus far. In this study, we collected all the relevant information on the epidemiology of the blossom blight in relation to weather variables, and developed the Pss-KBB Risk Model that is based on the Maryblyt model for the fire blight of apple and pear. Subsequent model validation was conducted using 10 years of ground truth data from kiwifruit orchards in Haenam, Korea. As a result, it was shown that the Pss-KBB Risk Model resulted in better performance in estimating the disease severity compared with other two simple models using either temperature or precipitation information only. Overall, we concluded that by utilizing the Pss-KBB Risk Model and weather forecast information, potential infection risk of the bacterial blossom blight of kiwifruit can be accurately predicted, which will eventually lead kiwifruit growers to utilize the best practices related to spraying chemicals at the most effective time.

With the opening of the small power brokerage business market in December 2018, the small power trading market has started in Korea. Operators must submit the day-ahead estimates of power output and receive incentives based on its accuracy. Therefore, the accuracy of power generation forecasts is directly affects profits of the operators. The forecasting process for power generation can be divided into two procedure. The first is to forecast solar irradiation and the second is to transform forecasted solar irradiation into power generation. There are two methods for transformation. One is to simulate with physical model, and another is to use regression model. In this study, we found the best-fit regression model by analyzing hourly data of PV output and solar irradiation data during three years for 242 PV plants in Korea. The best model was not a linear model, but a sigmoidal model and specifically a Gompertz model. The combined linear regression and Gompertz curve was proposed because a the curve has non-zero y-intercept. As the result, R2 and RMSE between observed data and the curve was significantly reduced.
This paper provides economic analysis for a residential photovoltaic (PV) power system of 5 districts in China and Thailand, using SAM (System Advisor Model) data. Unlike existing literature, the analysis is conducted from the investment timing perspective, as applying to a real option model which can incorporate the cost uncertainty of the PV system and a resident's option to delay the investment. This study shows that the gap of optimal investment times between a real option model and a generally used net present value model ranges from about 6 to 14 years. Also, we found a contracting result for a particular district that, while the investment is appropriate according to the net present value model, it is more reasonable to delay the PV system investment in terms of the real option model.
This study has analysed power output characteristics of transparent thin-film PV module depending on incidence angle and azimuth. The experiment results showed power outputs of transparent thin-film PV module applied to full-scale mock up model on slope of $90^{\circ},\;30^{\circ},\;0^{\circ}$ to the south. The simulation results was evaluated power outputs of transparent thin-film PV module depending on incidence angle and azimuth after calibrating the experimental and computed data. As a result. the best power output performance of transparent thin-film PV module was obtained at slope of $30^{\circ}$ to the south, producing the annual power output of 977kWh/kWp. The annual power output data demonstrated that the PV module with a slope of $30^{\circ}$ could produce a 68 % higher power output than that with a slope of $90^{\circ}$ with respect to the inclined slope of the module, Furthermore, the PV module facing south showed a 22 % higher power output than that facing to the east in terms of the angle of the azimuth, Specipically. the varying power output with incidence angle of PV module can be resulted from the influence of incidence angle modifier of glass on PV module. That is, the solar energy transmission can be reduced as an increase of incidence angle of PV module. Therefore, when the inclined slope of the PV module was over $70^{\circ}$ there was a significant reduction of power output, and this was caused by the decrease of solar energy transmission in the transparent thin-film PV module.
A growing dynamic electrical demand has created an increasing interest in utilizing nonconventional energy sources like Photovoltaic (PV), wind power, etc. In this context, this paper focuses on the design and development of a composite power controller (CPC) in the decoupled double synchronous reference frame (DDSRF) combining the advantages of direct power control (DPC) and voltage oriented control (VOC) for a PV sourced grid connected inverter. In addition, a controller with the inherent active filter configuration is tested with nonlinear and unbalanced loads at the point of common coupling in both grid connected and autonomous modes of operation. Furthermore, the loss and reactive power compensation due to a non-fundamental component is also incorporated in the design, and the developed DDSRF model subsequently allows independent active and reactive power control. The proposed developed model of the controller is also implemented using MATLAB-Simulink-ISE and a Xilinx system generator which evaluate both the simulated and experimental setups. The simulation and experimental results confirm the validity of the developed model. Further, simulation results for the DPC are also presented and compared with the proposed CPC to further bring out the salient features of the proposed work.
Perimeter zone is one of the weakest area in buildings and it makes an increase of heating and cooling loads, in addition to condensation or discomfort with cold-draft to residents in winter. Because of this, it needs to be reinforced by active systems. However, they use fossil fuel, and ultimately greenhouse effect is urged. Thus, we proposed BIPV system functioned as solar collector which can substitute active system. As an fundamental stage, heat balance equation in steady-state by Fortran was used not only, in winter for pre-heating effect and electric power capacity during the day, but also in summer, for the latter during the day and sky radiation effect during the night. Especially, we should have considered shading on PV by IES Suncast, since even a little bit of it makes the efficiency too low for the PV modules to work. As a result, in summer day, the PV panel should be tiled in 70 degrees to gain the most electric power. Moreover, we could verify that this model makes higher temperature and heat flux under 0.02 m/s. On the other hand, the PV had the high efficiency with high velocity because of cooling effect behind the PV. Therefore, we should regard the air current distribution later on.
A sense of oneness between a player and an avatar is more emphasized than role-playing itself in Korean RPG playing. Because of this tendency, the main contents of smart phone-based mobile RPG are mainly focus on combat. As PvP occurs more frequently in mobile RPG, playing experiences are diversified from sensitive control to simple repetition. Also, the auto-combat function offered in game system ingenerates funs from testing a mental model that a player statistically sets before playing. This paper analyzes the process of generating fun in mobile RPG based on Ralph Koster's Game Grammar theory. is selected as subject of this analysis. The pattern of mobile RPG playing is dichotomized : automation of producing materials and concentration on raid and PvP contents.

Recently, new distributed power sources such as photovoltaic, wind power, fuel cell systems etc. are energetically interconnected and operated in the distribution feeders, as one of the national projects for alternative energy. When new power sources are considered to be interconnected to distribution systems, bi-directional power flow and interconnection conditions of new power sources may cause several power quality problems like voltage sag, voltage swell, harmonics, since new power sources can change typical characteristics of distribution systems. Under these situations, this paper deals with the analysis the power quality problems at primary and secondary feeders in distribution systems, when new power sources like photovoltaic (PV) systems are interconnected, by using the test devices for PV systems based on the LabVIEW S/W. This paper presents the test device which is consisted with model distribution system and model PV systems. By performing the simulation for power quality operation characteristic based on the test facilities, this paper presents the optimal countermeasures for power quality.
