We report the characterization of white light emitting devices fabricated using conjugated polymer blends. Blue emissive poly[9,9-bis(4'-n-octyloxyphenyl) fluorene-2,7-diyl-co-10-(2'-ethylhexyl)phenothiazine-3,7-diyl] [poly(BOPF-co-PTZ)] and red emissive poly(2-(2'-ethylhexyloxy)-5-methoxy-1,4-phenylenevinylene) (MEH-PPV) were employed in the blends. The inefficient energy transfer between these blue and red light emitting polymers (previously deduced from the PL spectra of the blend films) enables the production of white light emission through control of the blend ratio. The PL and EL emission spectra of the blend systems were found to vary with the blend ratio. The EL devices were fabricated in the ITO/PEDOT/blend/LiF/Al configuration and white light emission was obtained for one of the tested blend ratios.

This paper proposes an intelligent video surveillance system for human object tracking. The proposed system integrates the object extraction, human object recognition, face detection, and camera control. First, the object in the video signals is extracted using the background subtraction. Then, the object region is examined whether it is human or not. For this recognition, the region-based shape descriptor, angular radial transform (ART) in MPEG-7, is used to learn and train the shapes of human bodies. When it is decided that the object is human or something to be investigated, the face region is detected. Finally, the face or object region is tracked in the video, and the pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) controllable camera tracks the moving object with the motion information of the object. This paper performs the simulation with the real CCTV cameras and their communication protocol. According to the experiments, the proposed system is able to track the moving object(human) automatically not only in the image domain but also in the real 3-D space. The proposed system reduces the human supervisors and improves the surveillance efficiency with the computer vision techniques.

한방에서는 경련억제의 목적으로 처방되고 있는 석창포의 정유액을 분리하여 활성산소종 생성계 효소인 xanthine oxi-dase와 alehyde osidase에 대한 억제활성을 in vitro에서 측정하고 지질과산화 억제효과를 in vitro 와 in vivo에 각각 조사하였으며 DPPH radical 소거 효과를 검토하여 다음과 같은결과를 얻었다. 석창포 정유는 xanthine oxidase에 대해서는 0.01 mg/ml에서 13.3%, aldehyde oxidase에 대해선.s 0.001mg/ml에 서 5.0% 각각 효소 활성을 억제 하였으나, 괴량에서는 오히려 효소활성을 증가시키는것으로 나타났다. 지질과산화 억제효과는 1.0mg/ml에서 대조군에 비해 49.4% 억제하여 우수한 효과를 보였으며 향기를 7일간 흡입시킨 in vivo test에서는 인위적으로 지질과산화를 유발시킨 대조군에 비해 과산화지질이 16.7% 감소되었다. 그러나 DPPH radical에 대한 소거효과는 2.0 mg/ml에서약 4%의 미미한 효과를 나타내었다.

최근들어 보안이 중요시되는 공간에서 임의의 객체를 추적하고 인식할 수 있는 시스템의 필요성이 점차 중요시 되고 있다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 효율적인 영상 처리 교육을 위한 지능형 영상 시스템을 구현하고 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 시스템은 검지 영역내 차량의 진입 및 추적 실험을 하였고, 차량이 검지영역 내에서 정차시 Pan-Tilt-Zoom 카메라를 제어하여 객체의 확대 영상을 취득하도록 하였다. 실험 결과 움직이는 차량의 경우 97.4%, 정차해 있는 차량의 경우 91%의 추적율을 나타내었다. 또한 제안된 시스템은 교육진행시 실시간 영상 데이터 사용 및 카메라 제어를 다수의 학생들이 동시에 할 수 있음으로 효율적인 영상 처리 교육을 진행 할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
