On the Development of a Spatial Hybrid Visual Alignment System (3차원 하이브리드 비전 정렬 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, suggested is a hybrid-type visual alignment system to align mask and panel in 3-D space, where mask and panel are to be controlled independently by two individual positioning mechanisms in order to compensate for spatial misalignments. In the hybrid visual alignment system, the below 4-PPR parallel mechanism provides in-plain motions to pattern mask like the other conventional alignment systems while the above 4-RPS parallel mechanism is to move glass panel to achieve a complete spatial alignment. For the control of the hybrid alignment system, first, inverse kinematic solutions for the parallel mechanisms are given to determine the driving distance of each active joint, and also an efficient way to determine the spatial alignment error is developed by exploiting three in-plane cameras.

A Study on Ultra Precise Position Control of Servomotor using Analog Quadrature Encoder (정현파 엔코더를 이용한 서보전동기 초정밀 위치 제어에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes the ultra precise position estimation of a servomotor using sinusoidal encoder based on Arcsine Interpolation Method. The amplitude and offset errors of the sinusoidal encoder output signals are effectively compensated and on-line tuned by utilizing a low cost programmable differential amp without any special expensive equipments. To theoretically evaluate the practical resolution of this system, the relationship between the amplitude of A/D converter input signal errors and the anticipated resolution is briefly dealt with. The performance of the proposed method is verified by the experiments, by comparing it with position and speed control characteristics of the servomotor driving system using a digital incremental 50,000ppr encoder.

  • For Web server implementations, there are 4 main schemes: process-per-request (PPR), thread-per-request (TPR), worker thread pool (WTP), and worker thread pool with buffers (WTPB). This paper compares performance of the schemes in response time point of view. WTPB shows the best performance. The appropriate number of worker threads for WTPB depends on the request service time. For short requests, the number can be very small. But for longer requests, it is about 1/6 of the number of simultaneous connections.

  • This study presents a nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC)-based obstacle avoidance and whole-body motion planning method for the mobile manipulators. For the whole-body motion control, the mobile manipulator with an omnidirectional mobile base was modeled as a nine degrees-of-freedom (DoFs) serial open chain with the PPR (base) plus 6R (arm) joints, and a swept sphere volume (SSV) was applied to define a convex hull for collision avoidance. The proposed receding horizon control scheme can generate a trajectory to track the end-effector pose while avoiding the self-collision and obstacle in the task space. The proposed method could be calculated using an interior-point (IP) method solver with 100[ms] sampling time and ten samples of horizon size, and the validation of the method was conducted in the environment of Pybullet simulation.

  • 최근 모바일 단말의 사용과 그에 관련된 제품의 개발이 급증하고 있는 관계로 이와 관련된 많은 Peer-to-Peer (P2P) 연구들이 진행 중이다. 특히, Mobile Ad-Hoc 네트워킹 환경에서의 P2P 방식에 대한 연구 또한 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만, Flooding 방식의 메시지 전송은, 파일 탐색 시 Query 메시지 가 기하급수 적으로 증가할 수 있다. 이러한 메시지 전송은 센서 네트워크에서는 전력의 급격한 소모를 가져와 네트워크의 유지를 할 수 없게 하는 등의 오버헤드를 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 P2P 파일 검색에서의 메시지 전송수를 줄이기 위해 Mobile Ad-Hoc Network 환경에서 Peer를 Parent Peer(PPR)와 Child Peer(CPR)로 구분화하여 그룹화를 시키고 그룹을 Peer로 둔 P2P 네트워크를 구성하였다. 또한, 그룹 안에서 발생하는 CPR들의 가입과 탈퇴를 관리하여 오버헤드 발생을 줄이는 방법을 제안한다.

  • Phosphate based inhibitor is playing a decisive role in inhibiting the corrosion of steel rebar in chloride condition. We have used different amount of ammonium phosphate monobasic (APMB) as corrosion inhibitor in mortar with different amount of chloride ions. The compressive strength, flexural strength, open circuit potential (OCP), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), potentiodynamic polarization resistance (PPR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Raman spectroscopy were performed to access the effect of inhibitor on corrosion resistance. As the amount of inhibitor is increased, the compressive strength increased. The electrochemical results show that as the amount of inhibitor and chloride ions are increased, the total impedance and corrosion resistance of steel rebar increased attributed to the formation of the stable oxide films onto the steel rebar surface. It is suggested that APMB can work in high concentration of chloride ions present in concrete where phosphate ion helps in formation of stable and protective phosphate based oxide film.

  • 월간 <건축사>가 지난 2월 15일 김경민 서울대 환경대학원(도시계획) 교수를 만났다. 서울대 지리학과를 졸업한 김경민 교수는 UC버클리에서 정보통신 석사학위를 받고 실리콘밸리에서 소프트웨어 엔지니어로 근무했다. 이후 하버드대에서 박사 학위를 취득하고 보스턴 상업용 부동산 리서치회사 PPR(Property & Portfolio Research) 선임연구원으로 재직하는 등 다양한 분야의 지식과 경험을 갖추고, 현재 서울대 환경대학원 도시계획전공 교수로 부동산 트렌드와 건축과 공간의 동인이 될 만한 요소들을 분석·발표하며 방송 출연, 도서 집필, 인터뷰 등을 통해 다양한 매체에서 활발히 활동하고 있다. 김경민 교수는 본지와의 인터뷰에서 도시의 장소성·역사성을 이어나가면서 도시의 미래를 구현할 수 있는 새로운 거버넌스 체계의 구축, 도시개발의 비전을 제시할 공공 디벨로퍼와 도시개발청의 필요성을 언급하고, 도시·건축의 변화를 위한 네거티브 시스템 도입을 제안했다. 또 단순히 설계뿐 아니라 인문·역사적 이해를 바탕으로 금융 분야에서도 전문성을 갖춘 도시계획 플랜을 세우는 게 중요하다고 설명했다.

DNA microarray analysis of RNAi plant regulated expression of NtROS2a gene encoding cytosine DNA demethylation (시토신 탈메틸화 관련 NtROS2a 유전자 발현을 제어한 RNAi 식물의 DNA microarray 분석)

  • To study the transcript levels of epigenetically regulated genes in tobacco, we have developed a transgenic line OX1 overexpressing NtROS2a gene encoding cytosine DNA demethylation and a RNAi plant line RNAi13. It has been reported that salt- and $H_2O_2$-stress tolerance of these transgenic lines are enhanced with various phenotypic characters (Lee et al. 2015). In this paper, we conducted microarray analysis with Agilent Tobacco 4 x 44K oligo chip by using overexpression line OX1, RNAi plant line RNAi 13, and wild type plant WT. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) related to metabolism, nutrient supply, and various stressed were up-regulated by approximately 1.5- to 80- fold. DEGs related to co-enzymes, metabolism, and methylation functional genes were down-regulated by approximately 0.03- to 0.7- fold. qRT-PCR analysis showed that the transcript levels of several candidate genes in OX1 and RNAi lines were significantly (p < 0.05) higher than those in WT, such as genes encoding KH domain-containing protein, MADS-box protein, and Zinc phosphodiesterase ELAC protein. On the other hand, several genes such as those encoding pentatricopeptide (PPR) repeat-containing protein, histone deacetylase HDAC3 protein, and protein kinase were decreased by approximately 0.4- to 1.0- fold. This study showed that NtROS2a gene encoding DNA glycosylase related to demethylation could regulate adaptive response of tobacco at transcriptional level.

Identification of novel genes for improvement of downy mildew resistance in Zea mays (옥수수의 노균병 저항성 증대를 위한 저항성 유용유전자 발굴)

  • Maize (Zea mays L.) is a C4-plant and one of the three major crops grown worldwide. Because of its high productivity, maize is considered as one of the most important food and feed stocks in the world. Recently, bioethanol from maize was predominantly generated in the USA and Brazil. Infection of maize by several diseases resulted in a huge disaster and prevented maize production. Downy mildew, caused by Peronosclerospora sorghi, is one of the most serious diseases of maize. Despite efforts to develop downy mildew-resistant cultivars or seed treatment with metalaxyl, downy mildew persists as a serious pathogen and is still prevalent in specific geographical locations. Analysis of soils infected with downy mildew and investigation of candidates associated with downy mildew resistance is an attractive method to overcome downy mildew damage in maize. In a previous study, we reported that maize chromosome 6 carries a possible candidate gene for downy mildew resistance. Using bioinformatics tools and RT-PCR analysis, five novel genes including bZIP, OFP transcription factor, and Ppr were identified as candidate genes associated with downy mildew resistance.
