The property of Blocking Filter for PLC using magnetic device (자기 소자가 전력선 통신용 블로킹 필터의 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • 홈 네트워크 구축의 핵심 부품인 전력선 통신용 블로킹 필터를 제조하였으며, 신호 감쇄 특성을 측정하고 적용가능성을 평가 하였다. 전자장 모의 해석을 통하여 자심재료에 대한 포화자속밀도 특성을 분석 하였으며, 최소의 크기를 갖는 I 형상의 자심재료에 $3.2\Phi$의 나동선을 10.5턴 권선하여 대용량 인덕터를 제조하고, $4.3\;{\mu}H$의 인덕턴스를 구현하였다. 설계된 대용량 인덕터를 적용하여 30A급의 블로킹 필터를 제조하였고, 1.7 MHz ~ 30 MHz 대역에서의 -60 dB의 신호감쇄 특성을 얻었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존에 전력소비자들의 전기요금을 낮추기 위해 전력사업자가 설치하는 스마트미터(smart meter)에 의존하는 대신 가정 내 PLC(Power Line Communication)망을 활용하여 소비자의 기기별로 에너지모니터링 환경을 구축하여 스마트그리드를 통해 소비자가 얻을 수 있는 많은 혜택을 제공할 수 있는 스마트플러그 기반 AMI 시스템을 개발하고자 한다.

  • As the demand of the high-speed transmission between fast moving mobile objects is increasing, more ideas are coming out to improve the channel distortion for such cases. WOFDM(Wavelet-based Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is the most brilliant one among them, which combines the advantages of wavelet transform technique and OFDM technique, and it has been implemented into the PLC (Power Line communication) system. In this paper, we are trying to describe a comparative study on COFDM (Fourier-base OFDM) and WOFDM in the conventional T-DMB system. From the simulation results, we can see that the performances of COFDM and WOFDM are nearly same under the AWGN channel. However, WOFDM outperforms COFDM under the time-invariant Rayleigh fading channel.

  • 고속전력선통신(PLC : Power Line Communication)은 전력선을 통신회선으로 이용하여 종래의 방식보다 용이하게 LAN환경을 구축하는 기술이다. 예전부터 전력회사에서 검침 등에 이용되었던 기술이며, 근래에 들어 수십Mbps이상의 고속통신이 가능해지면서 다시금 주목을 받고 있다. 그러나 고속전력선통신은 기존의 네트워크 시스템과는 상이한 몇 가지 특성들을 가지고 있다. 따라서 기존의 보안적인 이슈뿐만 아니라 고속전력선통신 특유의 보안적인 고려도 필요로 하고 있다. 본고에서는 고속전력선통신에 대한 이해를 돕고자 그에 대한 대략적인 개요와 표준화 동향 그리고 고속전력선통신에서 고려해야 할 보안요구사항들에 대해 제시한다.

  • 통신기술과 컴퓨터기술의 발전으로 새로운 전기통신 서비스가 개발 보급되고, 그 예로 도난, 화재, 가스 유출 등 가정 안에서 일어나는 각종 위급상황을 해당관서에 자동으로 알려주는 원격 안전관리시스템의 중요성과 인력 검침에 따른 노동력 확보문제나 효율적이고 경제적인 검침에 따른 운용방안이 요구되는 시점에서 원격검침 시스템(AMRS)의 필요성이 더욱 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 각각의 원격 검침 시스템의 사용된 통신 방식을 비교하고 원격 검침시스템의 국내 외 기술 개발 동향 및 앞으로의 발전방향을 모색하였다. 이에 고유가시대의 검침비용을 절감하고 고객 서비스 향상 방안에 도움이 되고자 한다.

A Centralized Monitoring System for Factory Electrical Installation Using Active Database (능동 데이터베이스를 이용한 중앙전력감시시스템)

  • The main purpose of centralized monitoring system is to manage factory electrical installation efficiently by on-line data acquisition and supervisory control. The existing centralized system is only able to be managed by operator whenever electrical installation's faults are detected. Therefore, it may be possible for propagating the installation's faults when operator make the unexpected mistakes. To overcome the unexpected mistakes, in this paper, the author presents a centralized monitoring system for factory electrical installation using active database. by using active database production rule, stated system can minimize unexpected mistake and can operate centralized monitoring system efficiently. Test results on the five factory electrical installations show that performance is efficient and robust.

3D Markov chain based multi-priority path selection in the heterogeneous Internet of Things

  • Internet of Things (IoT) based sensor networks have gained unprecedented popularity in recent years. With the exponential explosion of the objects (sensors and mobiles), the bandwidth and the speed of data transmission are dwarfed by the anticipated emergence of IoT. In this paper, we propose a novel heterogeneous IoT model integrated the power line communication (PLC) and WiFi network to increase the network capacity and cope with the rapid growth of the objects. We firstly propose the mean transmission delay calculation algorithm based the 3D Markov chain according to the multi-priority of the objects. Then, the attractor selection algorithm, which is based on the adaptive behavior of the biological system, is exploited. The combined the 3D Markov chain and the attractor selection model, named MASM, can select the optimal path adaptively in the heterogeneous IoT according to the environment. Furthermore, we verify that the MASM improves the transmission efficiency and reduce the transmission delay effectively. The simulation results show that the MASM is stable to changes in the environment and more applicable for the heterogeneous IoT, compared with the other algorithms.

A Study on the Self-Healing Mechanism using Spanning Tree Algorithm for PLC-based Home Network (전력선 홈 네트워크를 위한 스패닝 트리 알고리즘 기반의 자동 중계 기술 연구)

  • The home network environment based on the power line communication has some unexpected events. The noise source from the home appliances makes the network impedance increased, and the transmission packets distorted. Therefore the packet transmission from the source node may not be delivered to the destination node directly. In this paper we propose a new self-healing mechanism which relays the packet to the directly unreachable destination automatically with the help of intermediate nodes. In order to choose the minimum required intermediate nodes our mechanism makes a spanning tree with both the directly reachable nodes and indirectly reachable nodes via the intermedia nodes. We developed the network simulator in order to compare its performance to the Echelon's repeater selecting mechanism. Though it required more packet relations than Echelon's but the reachable probability to the destination was highly increased about two times.

Sound System Design and Characteristic Analysis based on Power Line Communication (전력선통신 기반 음향 시스템 설계 및 특성 분석)

  • The paper is to solve the problem of existing sound system, which has difficulties of system organization and the increase of additional install cost and unfriendly interior. To solve the existing system, we drew the new sound system based on PLC and studied it. A transmitter and a receiver were designed using the PLC chip INT5500CS. Sound system was configured with a CD player that sound signals are sent from the transmitter and a speaker connected to the receiver. For analysis of characteristics of this system, a USBPre external sound card and Smaart Live 5 which is a PC-based sound measuring program were added. As a result of our experiment, the measured signal level is $2{\sim}3$[dB] lower than reference signal, latency is 16.69[ms] and the specific character of coherency is bad in high frequency band. Otherwise, this system transmits and receives signals over 90[%] in good condition as a result of measuring pink noise, frequency(1kHz), and phase, magnitude. In view of the result so far achieved, the system designed our team has excellent performance, it resolves defect of existing audio signal transmition system.

A Study on the Implementation of Power Line Modem for Remote Control Using DSP (DSP를 이용한 원격 제어용 전력선 모뎀 구현에 관한 연구)

  • The power line modem proposed in this paper transmits the remote control signal using CSK(Code Shift Keying) and DS/SS method. The CSK technique provides the increased capacity of transmission and robustness towards noise. Besides, the DS/SS technique provides protection against narrow-band Gaussian interference and multi-path interference. The modem supports full-duplex communication using FDD(Frequency Division Duplex) and the modem structure for forward link is same with that for reverse link. To switch each sub-controlled unit smoothly, 4/$\pi$-DQPSK is adopted for noncoherent demodulation. The PN code for spreading spectrum seues to divide each group which consists of sub-controlled units and Walsh code is used for the M-ary CSK technique. Each block is designed and verified with TMS320C5402 DSP. We show the superiority of the proposed method by analyzing numerically the system performance for the factors of the DS/SS and CSK method ullder additive white Gaussian noise and PBI.
