A Research on Developing the Fault Tolerant Control System using Restructurable Control Method (구조 변경 제어 방식을 이용한 고장 허용 제어 시스템 설계에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, a method to guarantee system continuity is developed, which can be applied to discontinuity problem in the time domain of restructurable control system. This method can be summarized as input alternation using weight change considering convergence speed of system mode. Input is changed from 'system continuity guarantee input,' which is defined as a input that minimizes the change of state variables, to 'alternative controller input,' which is selected by Neil's PI/EAM[3]. AIDC aircraft model is used for simulation. By showing the waveform of system input and state variable, we can sure that this method is effective for depression of system shock like jerk.

  • 원자력 발전소의 증기 발생기는 증기량과 급수량에 대한 비 최소위상 특성과 비선형성, 그리고 입력 제한 특성을 가지고 있다. 이러한 특성들은 증기 발생기의 효과적인 수위 제어에 어려움을 주고 있다. 본 논문에서는 게인 스케줄링 기법과 변형된 슬라이딩 모드 제어 기법을 이용한 원전 증기 발생기 제어기를 제안한다. 또한 앞먹임 구조를 가진 PI 제어기를 설계하여 저출력 영역에서 제안된 슬라이딩 모드 제어기와 성능을 비교한다. 모의 실험 결과 제안된 슬라이딩 모드 제어기가 최대 수위, 최소 수위, 그리고 안정화 시간 면에서 개선된 성능을 보였다.

  • This study is for the pitch control of blade, used in most horizontal-axis wind turbine systems, to sustain the maximum power output supplied to grid. The control of a blade can be divided into a stall regulation and a pitch control methods. The stall regulation method using an aerodynamic stall is simple and cheap, but it suffers from fluctuation of the resulting power. Pitch control method is mechanically and mathematically complicated, but the control performance is better than that of the stall regulation method. In this paper 2.5MW MOD-2 wind turbine system is adopted to be controlled by a pitch controller with PI method. The simulation performed by MA TLAB will show the variation of frequency, generator output, and pitch angle.

  • This paper presents the DQ transfomation and space vector modulation method to develop a control algorithm of distribution STATCON(STATic CONdenser) for line voltage regulation, dc link voltage regulation and harmonics compensation. The Performance analysis of a PI with ramp comparision and synchronous reference frame current controller is carried out. Based on these analysis, the control performances are desirable to compensate the harmonics and to regulate de link and line voltage of Distribution line.

  • This paper presents a digitally-controlled filter calibration technique for biquad RC filter using self oscillation. The biquad RC filter is converted to a fully-differential ring oscillator by changing its resistor connections, where the oscillation frequency reflects the cut-off frequency. The proposed calibration circuit measures the oscillation frequency by counting with a fixed higher-frequency clock and then tunes it to a desired frequency with a digital frequency-locked loop including a PI controller. Because the proposed circuit directly measures the cut-off frequency of the filter itself and calibrates it with the small area digital circuits, the area and the power consumption are much small compared with conventional works. When it is implemented in a 65nm CMOS process, the calibration circuit except the filter consumes the area of 80um X 50um and power consumption is 443uA at 1.2 V supply voltage.

  • This paper introduces the results of the development of a new mobile digital DC-arc welding machine (DDWM). A simple PI controller is applied to the DDWM to control the output welding current that is tracking the constant setting current. Furthermore, a hot-start function, an anti-stuck function, a standby mode and an intelligential circuit breaker (ICB) are included in the DDWM. The DDWM increases welding quality and saves more power energy than a conventional welding machine. The DDWM is changed from ready mode into the standby mode, automatically, after 2-minute intervals from this unload start. Then, the DDWM is changed into ready mode, automatically, since it is reused for welding. Moreover, the DDWM increases welding quality, productivity and reduces costs of welding. So, the DDWM can make a considerable contribution to the mobile welding industries. The effectiveness of the DDWM was proven by the experimental results.

  • This paper deals with a problem of decreasing the airspeed and the altitude of a transport aircraft using thrust only. Such a situation can occur, if the aircraft loses all hydraulic power that drives the control surfaces. A controller for flight path angle control is designed using the model following servo control method, which is a PI-type optimal regulator. For computer simulation, a simulation model that covers a range of flight envelope is made using given linear models and trim points at some flight conditions. Nondimensional aerodynamic coefficients, derivatives and trim points that are not at the given trim points are computed by linear interpolation.   • In the autonomous vehicle, the reference lane is continually detected by machine vision system. And then the vehicle is steered to follow the reference yaw rates which are generated by the deviations of lateral distance and the yaw angle between the vehicle and the reference lane. To cope with the steering delay and the side-slip of vehicle, PI controller is introduced for the yaw rate feedback. And it is tuned by the simulation that the vehicle is modeled as 2 DOF verified by the results of the actual vehicle test. The lateral control algorithm by the yaw rate feedback has good performances of lane tracking and passenger comfort.

  • In this paper, a hyperstable cascade control scheme for servo drive systems is proposed to reduce the chattering, which is an undesirable property in discontinuously controlled systems. First, a discontinuously controlled hyperstable MRAC scheme is designed with respect to PI speed control system using only output variables, and then a linear position controller is cascaded. It is shown that the above system is asymptotically stable and the chattering is greatly reduced at a constant speed provided that the disturbance torque satisfies a certain condition.

  • The aerodynamic torque and power caused by the interaction between the wind and blade of wind turbine are highly nonlinear. For this reason, the overall dynamic behaviors of wind turbine have nonlinear characteristics. The aerodynamic nonlinearity also affects properties of torque control for wind turbine. In this paper, the nonlinear aerodynamic property according to the wind speed below rated power and its effects on the torque control system are investigated. Nonlinear parameter representing change of aerodynamic torque with respect to rotor speed is obtained by linearization technique. Effects of this aerodynamic nonlinear parameter on the closed-loop torque system with PI controller for an 1.5 MW wind turbine are presented.
