MPI를 활용한 PI($\pi$)값 계산 병렬화 알고리즘 (Parallelized PI($\pi$) Calculation Algorithm using MPI)

  • 정확한 $\pi$값의 계산은 자연과학의 여러 분야에 도움을 준다 이와 같이 $\pi$값을 계산하는 여러 가지 방법이 제안되어 있으며 널리 사용되고 있으나, 본 논문에서는 MPI 라이브러리를 활용한 $\pi$값 계산의 병렬화 알고리즘을 소개한다. tan$^{-1}$($\chi$)의 정의를 이용하는 $\pi$값 계산 방법은 다항식의 계산과정에서 각 항(term)들의 종속성으로 인하여 병렬화 수행이 힘든 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 tan$^{-1}$($\chi$)를 맥클로린 수열(Maclaurin Series)을 통하여 다항함수로 표현하고, 병렬화 수행에 적합한 적분형태로 변형한다. 따라서. MPI 환경에서 수행하기 적합한 $\pi$값 계산의 병렬화 알고리즘을 제안하고 8노드 클러스터 환경에서 성능을 비교해본다. 또한, 직렬화된 방법에 대한 성능향상(speedup)을 측정한다.

  • The PID tuning algorithm which can be applied generally to processes with varies dynamic characteristics is proposed by Wang[7]. However, it can be applied well to process model without zeros and with $\angle$G(jw)=-${\pi}$/2 and -${\pi}$ point in Nyquist curve, but it gives unsatisfactory tuning performance for processes with zeros and without $\angle$G(jW)=-${\pi}$/2 and -${\pi}$ in Nyquist curve. In this paper, the method which improve it using Pade reduction method is proposed. Satisfactory responses can be expected for processes with various dynamics, including those with low or high order, small or large dead time, monotonic or oscillatory responses. Simulation examples are given to show the effectiveness and flexibility of the controller in handling processes of different characteristics.

  • This paper presents the use of a simple genetic algorithm for the tuning of a proportional-integral speed controller for an induction motor drive. The influence of population size, generation number and rate of mutation on the convergence of the genetic algorithm is investigated. On Matlab/Simulink environment, this paper proposes an optimal GA-PI controller of indirect vector control for induction motor drive system. The simulation results verify that the system has a more robust to the parameter variation than classical PI controller.

  • A position control problem is studied for UEV(Unmanned Expedition Vehicles), which is to follow pre-determined paths via fixed way-points. Hybrid control systems are used for position control of UEV depending on the operating condition. Speed control consists of three controllers: PID control, adaptive PI control, and neural network. Heading control consists of two controllers, PID and adaptive PID control. The controllers are selected based on the changes of road conditions. We suggest an adaptive PI control algorithm for speed control and an transition management algorithm among the controllers. The algorithm adapts the road conditions and variation of vehicle dynamical characteristics and selects a suitable controller.

  • This paper proposes FNN based PI controller for high performance control of SynRM Drive. Traditional PI controller can't be obtained good performance because it has fixed gain. Therefore, in this paper, FNN based PI controller that gain of PI controller is tuned use FNN proposes. FNN based PI controller proposed in this paper can be obtained excellent performance more than traditional PI controller. Algorithm proposed in this paper make a analysis and prove valid.

  • Because of simple control algorithm and easy implementation, the conventional PI controller has been widely used in industrial application. But, it is very difficult to find the optimal PI control gain. Therefore, in improperly tuned PI controller or parameter variation, to obtain optimal performance, the novel PI controller, which consist of conventional PI controller and 4-rule based fuzzy logic, are presented in this paper. The novel PI controller which exhibits a stabilizing effects on the closed-loop system, has good robustness regarding the improperly tuned PI controller or parameter variation. The simulations are performed to verify the capability of proposed control method on induction motor.

  • In this paper, hysteresis voltage control method is proposed to an unidirectional inverter control for piezoelectric load. Piezoelectric load has electrically RC characteristic, and is driven by the inverter to control the output voltage waveform. When controling the output waveform by PI control, appropriate gains need to be selected. However, hysteresis control may minimize the output distortion because it has maximum proportional gain. In addition, Hysteresis control algorithm has simple structure to realize and the response is fast. Although the switching frequency of the inverter by hysteresis control varies, the switching frequency for the piezoelectric load is lower than that by PI control for equivalent performance. In particular, on implementing the algorithm using FPGA, the algorithm can be implemented in fewer pabrics and the processing time can be reduced. The superiority of the proposed hysteresis voltage control was proved for piezoelectric load through simulation and experiment.

  • 플랜트의 정보를 알지 못 하는 경우 시험신호로 포화함수와 시간지연 요소를 이용하여 플랜트의 정보를 찾아내고 찾아낸 정보를 PI 제어기를 설계하는 방법을 제시하였다. 시간 지연요소를 이용함으로서 PI 제어기의 I 요소로부터 발생되는 위상 감소로 인해 발생되는 불안정성이 발생하지 않도록 플랜트의 Nyquist 그림에서 3/4 분면에 있는 한 점의 정보를 찾아내는 것이 가능하였다. 제안된 된 방법은 포화함수의 이용으로 정확성이 높고 한 개의 포화함수만을 이용하여 구조가 간단하다. 또한 모의시험을 통해 제안된 방법의 타당성을 보였다.

  • For high performance ac drives, the speed sensorless vector control and a speed control algorithm base on the Fuzzy PI controller have received increasing attention. A Fuzzy PI controller is used for robust and fast speed control and space vector modulation method is used for PWM wave generation in this proposed system. The computer simulation results show that the proposed controller are more excellent control characteristics than conventional PI controller in transient-state response.

Application Study of Reinforcement Learning Control for Building HVAC System

  • Recently, a technology based on the proportional integral (PI) control have grown rapidly owing to the needs for the robust capacity of the controllers from industrial building sectors. However, PI controller generally requires tuning of gains for optimal control when the outside weather condition changes. The present study presents the possibility of reinforcement learning (RL) control algorithm with PI controller adapted in the HVAC system. The optimal design criteria of RL controller was proposed in the environment chamber experiment and a theoretical analysis was also conducted using TRNSYS program.
