Synthesis of SiO2/Ag Core-shell Nanoparticles for Conductive Paste Application (SiO2/Ag 코어-쉘 나노입자의 합성 및 전도성 페이스트 적용)

  • SiO2/Ag core-shell nanoparticles were synthesized by combining modified Stöber process and reverse micelle method using acetoxime as a reducing agent in water/dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DDBA)/cyclohexane reverse micells. The SiO2/Ag core-shells were studied for structure, morphology and size using UV-visible spectroscopy, XRD, SEM and TEM. The size of a SiO2/Ag core-shell could be controlled by changing the [water]/[DDBA] molar ratio (WR) values. The size and the polydispersity of SiO2/Ag core-shells increased with increase of the WR value. The resultant Ag nanoparticles exhibit a strong surface plasmon resonance (SPR) peak at 430 nm over the amorphous SiO2 nanoparticles. The SPR peak shifted to the red side with increase in nanoparticle size. Conductive pastes with 70 wt% SiO2/Ag core-shell were prepared, and the pastes were coated on the PET films using a screen-printing method. The printed paste film of the SiO2/Ag core-shell showed higher surface resistance than the commercial Ag paste in the range of 460~750 µΩ/sq.

Effects of Hardeners on the Low-Temperature Snap Cure Behaviors of Epoxy Adhesives for Flip Chip Bonding (플립칩용 에폭시 접착제의 저온 속경화 거동에 미치는 경화제의 영향)

  • Various adhesive materials are used in flip chip packaging for electrical interconnection and structural reinforcement. In cases of COF(chip on film) packages, low temperature bonding adhesive is currently needed for the utilization of low thermal resistance substrate films, such as PEN(polyethylene naphthalate) and PET(polyethylene terephthalate). In this study, the effects of anhydride and dihydrazide hardeners on the low-temperature snap cure behavior of epoxy based non-conductive pastes(NCPs) were investigated to reduce flip chip bonding temperature. Dynamic DSC(differential scanning calorimetry) and isothermal DEA(dielectric analysis) results showed that the curing rate of MHHPA(hexahydro-4-methylphthalic anhydride) at $160^{\circ}C$ was faster than that of ADH(adipic dihydrazide) when considering the onset and peak curing temperatures. In a die shear test performed after flip chip bonding, however, ADH-containing formulations indicated faster trends in reaching saturated bond strength values due to the post curing effect. More enhanced HAST(highly accelerated stress test) reliability could be achieved in an assembly having a higher initial bond strength and, thus, MHHPA is considered to be a more effective hardener than ADH for low temperature snap cure NCPs.

  • The antioxidative effects of BHT and rosemary on the hydrolysate from skipjack processing byproduct(SPB) was evaluated by storing at $30^{\circ}C$ for 60 days. Each of 0.02% BHT, 0.01% rosemary, and 0.02% rosemary was added into SPB hydrolysate prior to spray drying and the dried powder was tightly sealed in the laminated film(PET/Al foil/CPP, $5\mu\textrm{m}/15\mu\textrm{m}/70\mu\textrm{m})$ bags for storage. The colometric lightness("L") decreased through the storage period in all treatments while the redness ("a") showed the opposite trend. Changes of pigment were higher in level of hydrophillic brown than in lipophilic brown during storage. The effect of antioxidants, by adding BHT and rosemary, showed in TBA and POV during storage. Especially, the 0.02% rosemary treatment was more effective than 0.02% BHT treated SPB having effect of angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE) inhibiting.yme(ACE) inhibiting.

  • Effective transverse Piezoelectric Coefficients $(e_{31,f})$ of thick PZT $(Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti{0.48}Ti_{0.48})O_3)$ films on $SiN_x/Si$ substrates were measured with PZT thicknesses and top electrode dimensions. $e_{31,f}$ is one of important Parameters characterizing Piezoelectricity of PZT films. Thick PZT films have been used as various sensors and actuators because of their high driving force and high breakdown voltage. Thick PZT films were fabricated on Pt/Ta/$SiN_x$/Si substrates using sol-gel method. Thicknesses of PZT films were $1{\mu}m$ and $1.8{\mu}m$. $|e_{31,f}|$ values of $1.8{\mu}m$-thick-PZT films were higher than those of $1{\mu}$-thick-PZT films. Maximum $|e_{31,f}|$ of $1.8{\mu}$-thick-PZT films was about $50^{\circ}C/m^2$.

A study on the Correlationship between Detergency of Commercial Detergents and Rolling-up (시판세제의 세정성과 Rolling-up의 상관성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was, to estimate the detergency of commercial detergent and to examine the interrelationship between detergency and detergent characteristics, detergent concentration, fiber characteristics, and Rolling-up phenomenon which is the major removal mechanism of oily soil. A mixture of oleic acid-olive oil was used as oily soil. The detergency was estimated by analysis of oleic acid on cotton ana polyester fabrics before and after washing by means of liquid scintillation counting. The Rolling-up of oily soil from PET film was observed and change of contact angle and removal time were measured. The results were as follows ; 1. In the case of soaps and powder synthetic detergents, the optimum concentrations we-re about $0.2\~0.3\%$. And detergencies of liquid synthetic detergents were considerably low, and the detergency was continually increased up with increasing concentration to $0.5\%$, which seemed to be caused by the lower pH than that of soap and powder synthetic deter-gent solutions. 2. As the effect of external or internal fiber structure; the detergency of cotton was lower than that of polyester. 3. In the observation of Rolling-up, the contact angle increased and the Rolling-up time became shorter with increasing detergent concentrations ($0.05\~0.5\%$). And it was confirmed that detergency was increased with Rolling-up effect. In addition, the study on the actual laundry condition was studied using the questionaire. From the results, about $76\%$ of households used the concentration of detergent roughly or excessively and housewives were highly concerned on the recommended dose, but grade of practice were very low.

Preparation and Water Vapor Barrier Properties of PET/Nanohybrid PI Films (폴리에스테르/폴리이미드 나노복합필름의 제조 및 수분차단 특성)

  • We have prepared polyster/nanQhybridized polyimide films in the range of 1~9 wt% of organophilic synthetic layered silicate (STN). Firstly, poly(amic acid)/STN nanocomposite solutions were prepared via solution blending method in DMAc or THF/MeOH solution, and then cast on the polyester film followed by imidization reaction, thermal and chemical method repestively. XRD and TEM experiment showed that the STN was fully exfoliated through the polyimide matrix. Surface morphologies of nanohybridized polyimide films were characterized by AFM and thermal, mechanical properties were also confirmed by TGA, DMA and UTM each. And also, the water vapor permeabilities highly depended on the content of STN. The sample from chemical imidization route and THF/MeOH solvent system showed better water vapor barrier properties than thermal one and DMAc system.

  • The mort commonly available substrate material is glass in the display fibrication process. However, glass is not desirable due to its heaviness and fragility. Recently, plastics such polysulfone (PSF), polyethesulfone (PES), polycarbonate (PC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and cyclic olefin polymers (COP) have been investigated to replace glass as a substrate material for display fibrication. Plastic substrates are advantageous in that they are lightweight, huh impart resistance, flexibility, and ability for roll to roll manufacturing process. But many plastics have poor chemical resistance in organic solvent. The chemica resistance is also lequired because they are exposed to solvents for various chemical treatments din the manufacturing process. So, we have an interest in the chemical modification of PSF to improve chemical resistance. We introduced crosslinkable imide moieties using chloromethylation method for the modification of PSF which could be overcome above shortcomings for display substrate based on plastic film. We prepared the cross-linked polysulfone films which were represented chemical resistance in HeOH, THF, DMSO and NMP. The thermal properties were measured by TGA, DSC and TMA. As the results, we have confirmed to enhance of the thermal property. They had low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) which decreased to 15% and had increased $T_g\;from\;180^{\circ}C\;to\;252^{\circ}C$. Cross-linked polysulfone films with imide side-chain had good optical properties and chemical resistance so that they could be used as flexible display substrate.

Effects of Item Packaging Methods on the Quality Characteristics of Yukwa during Storage (단위포장 방법에 따른 유과의 저장 중 품질 특성)

  • This study aimed at investigating the quality changes of Yukwa during storage using the various item packaging methods present in the domestic market. The samples consisted of a self-adhesive-oriented polypropylene (OPP) film pouch (P1), a heat-sealed OPP film pouch (P2), and a polystyrene (PS) tray with a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) lid (P3). These were stored at $25^{\circ}C$ up to eight weeks. Throughout the storage period, the acid values of all the study samples remained under the Korean hygiene regulation limit of 2.0 mg KOH/g. The P2 samples showed both the slowest decrease in water content and the slowest increase in hardness value during storage. Sensory evaluation also showed that the P2 samples were the only ones that maintained their market value of 5.0 throughout the eight-week assessment period.

  • 후막형 무기 EL (electro-luminescence) 소자는 제조공정이 간단하고, 얇고, 가볍고, 유연한 동의 많은 장점들 때문에 휴대폰의 키패드 (key-pad) 및 광고용 back-light용으로 사용되고 있다. 이 무기 EL 소자는 비교적 손쉬운 스크린 프린팅 (screen-printing) 법으로 대면적을 제작할 수 있지만, LED (light emitting diode) 등과 비교하여 밝기가 낮아서 그 응용 분야가 제한되고 있다. EL 소자의 형광층은 전면 전극과 후면 전극 사이에 위치한다. EL은 이 형광층에 고 전기장이 걸릴 때, 전기장에 의해 가속된 전자가 형광층 내부에 첨가된 발광 중심의 전자를 여기시키고, 여기된 전자가 다시 바닥상태로 완화될 때 빛이 방출되는 현상이다. 즉, EL 소자는 이러한 전자 발광 현상을 이용한 소자로서, 전압 인가 시 발광 면 전체가 균일하게 발팡하는 평면 광원이다. 이러한 EL 소자에서 휘도의 증가는 후면 전극과 형광층 사이에 삽입되는 유전체 층의 특성과 밀접한 연관성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 고휘도 무기 EL 소자를 제작하기 위하여 이 유전체 층의 특성과 소자의 성능 사이의 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 유전체 층에 사용하기 위해서 $BaTiO_3$-PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride)의 복합체 필름을 제조하였다. 먼저 이 복합체 필름을 스크린 프린팅 (screen printing) 법으로 코팅하기 위한 페이스트 제작을 위해서, PVDF 수지를 용제에 녹였다. 그 다음, 일반 혼합기 및 삼단 롤밀 혼합기 (3-roll milling mixer) 등을 이용하여 $BaTiO_3$ 분말과 PVDF 용액을 다양한 비율로 혼합하여 페이스트를 제조하였다. ITO가 증착된 PET Film에 스크린 프린팅 법을 사용하여 형광층, 유전층, 배면 전극 등을 차례로 코팅하였다. $BaTiO_3$ (BT) 분말과 복합체 필름의 XRD 분석 결과, 분말 시료와 복합체 시료 모두 페로브스카이트 구조의 BT 회절선만 관찰되었다. 복합체의 단면 SEM 관찰에서는, BT 분말의 무게비가 증가할수록 더 치밀한 구조를 보여줌을 확인하였다. 또 EL소자의 유전상수와 휘도도 BT 분말의 혼합비가 증가할수록 증가하였다. 본 연구에서 제작한 무기 EL 소자의 최대 휘도는 약 $130\;cd/m^2$ 정도로 측정되었는데, 이는 휴대폰 키패드의 back-light용 광원으로 사용하기 충분하다고 판단되어진다.

Precessing of Smoked Dried and Powdered, Sardine for Instant Soup (정어리 분말수우프의 가공)

  • This study was carried out to prepare the flavoring substance using sardine for instant soup, and to examine the taste compounds and storage stability of the product. In preparation of product, raw sardine are gutted, boiled for 10 minutes and smoked 3 times to $9{\sim}10%$ moisture content at $80^{\circ}C$ for 8 hours. The smoked-dried sardine meat were followed to be 50 mesh of particle size. The powdered-dried sardine were mixed 4.0% sugar, 20.0% table salt, 3.0% monosodium glutamate, 0.2% black pepper, 0.2% garlic powder and 0.2% onion powder, Finally the powdered instant soup product were vacuum packed in a laminated film(PET/A1 foil/CPP) bag, and then stored at room temperature for 120 days. The effect of smoking on enhancing flavor and on preventing lipid oxidation of product during storage were observed. From the chemical analysis and omission test, the principal taste compounds of product were IMP, 478.2mg/l00g; free amino acids such as glutamic acid, histidine, arginine, phenylalaine 3292.5mg/l00g; non-volatile organic acids such as lactic acid, ${\alpha}-ketoglutaric$ acid, 712.2mg/l00g; total creatinine 409.0mg/100g, and small amount of betaine, TMAO. Fatty acid composition of product were mainly consisted of polyenoic acids such as 20:5, 22:6, followed by saturated acids, monoenoic acid. The major fatty acid were 16:0, 16:1, 18:1, 20:5 and 22:6. From the results of sensory evaluation and chemical experiments during storage, the vacuum packed product were good condition for preserving the quality during storage for 120 days. We may conclude that the quality of present product was not inferior to that of seasoning powder of anchovy on the market, and it can be commercialized as a flavoring substance in preparing soup and broth.
