Using the post-consumer waste and edge scrap mixed PET with small amount PP air filter elements of automobiles. It was studied that these mixed waste plastics of the various types of the PET were practicable for the material recycling. Various waste PET/PP plastics were collected, crushed, dried in vacuum, and extruded to recycled PET/PP chips. These chips were mixed with three kinds compatibilizers, EVA, MBS, and recycled PVB of the ratio of $3{\sim}10wt.%$ for the purpose of the compatibility for the post-consumer waste and edge scrap. We investigated mechanical and thermal properties of PET/PP mixtures which were compound with the weight ratio of compatibilizers. Compatibilizer, MBS application was showed the most excellent mechanical properties in the range of the $3{\sim}5wt.%$ EVA application was displayed good impact strength and thermal property in the range of $3{\sim}5wt.%$ Last, recycled PVB application was showed poor mechanical properties in the whole range ratio of the PVB.
Images reconstructed with Maximum-Likelihood Expectation-Maximization (MLEM) algorithm have been observed to have checkerboard effects and have noise artifacts near edges as iterations proceed. To compensate this ill-posed nature, numerous penalized maximum-likelihood methods have been proposed. We suggest a simple algorithm of applying edge detecting process to the MLEM and Bayesian Expectation-Maximization (BEM) to reduce the noise artifacts near edges and remove checkerboard effects. We have shown by simulation that this algorithm removes checkerboard effects and improves the clarity of the reconstructed image and has good properties based on root mean square error (RMS).

Purpose Recent retrospective studies are being actively conducted to analyze the survival of patients with SUVmax, MTV, TLG, such as information from a variety of PET originating. However, there is no clear way is difficult to accurately measure the volume of the tumor may be the difference between the caster is raised. In this study, to evaluate compare the volume measuring methods according to the characteristics of the tumor. Materials and Methods 18F-saline to fill the NEMA IEC Body Phantom insert the volume of balance and imbalance in phantom were acquired to the Biograph truepoint 40 (Siemens medical system, Germany) PET/CT scanner. The ratio of the volume and Background was acquired as 3.0, 5.0, 8.0, 18, 40. Clinical patients were randomly selected 120 people in staging patients with cancer of the digestive system from the year 2010 until the year 2014. Measurement methods were used a 40% threshold, 50% threshold and gradient segmentation technique, i.e. PET EDGE. Five years of experience of the two radio-technologist and one doctor was measured by repeated three times. Analysis methods were Intraclass correlation coefficient and Pearson correlation. Results In Phantoms, the 40% threshold method gave the best concordance between measured and actual volumes (r = 0.992, 0.997). In clinical patient outcome agreement between observers EDGE it is as high as 0.999 (CI: 0.998-0.999). And there were no statistical significance of the difference between the measurements (P = 0.620). 40% threshold method showed the best correlation between the measurements (r = 0.953). Increasing the ratio of tumor to background decreased the influence of a measuring method. Conclusion How to measure volume of the tumor in the patient was clinically most useful is 50% and the lowest impact on the characteristics of the tumor. Therefore, to reduce the background of the patients in PET/CT scan, it should be required research and effort.

We investigated and analyzed the technological landscape of the global pet food industry, focusing on related industries in Korea and abroad. This industry accounts for the largest share of the rapidly growing global pet market. We aimed to identify and develop technologies that can strengthen Korea's position in this market. Our study employed various quantitative methods, including time series analysis, country and applicant analysis, and International Patent Classification (IPC) technology analysis. These analyses allowed us to objectively assess the current technological status, patent application distribution, and technological trends in the pet food industry. Our findings revealed that the United States currently holds the leading position in terms of patent applications within the pet food industry. This suggests that to establish a differentiated competitive edge in this field, it's crucial to develop technologies with high usability and target specific segments within related industries. Additionally, focusing on interdisciplinary research that combines Korea's existing advanced technologies with other relevant fields is essential.

A spatially adaptive falter was formulated to imrove PET image qualify and the Performance of the filter was evaluated using simulation and phantom and human PET studies. In the proposed filter. if a pixel was identified as the edge Pixel, the Pixel value was Preserved. Otherwise a Pixel was replaced by the mean of the pixel values weighted by 2:7: 2. A Pixel was identified as the edge Pixel. if it satisfies the following conditions : the number of ADs (absolute difference between center and neighborhood pixels) which is smaller than THl (($pix_max{\times}0.1/log_2(NPM)$, NPM : mean of 6 neighborhood pixels excluding minimum and maximum) is 8-k and the number of ADs which is lager than TH2 ($NPM{\times}0.1$) is k. where k : 2, 3, …, 6. The results of this study demonstrate the superior performance of the Proposed titter compared to Gaussian fitter, weight median filter and subset averaged median filter. The proposed tittering method is simple but effective in increasing uniformity and contrast with minimal degradation of spatial resolution of PET images and thus. is expected to Provide improved diagnositc quality PET images .
Heating patterns depending on the packaging materials were examined in order to investigate the causes of thermal deformation of packages used for ready-to-eat foods for microwave heating due to the non-uniformity of microwaves. Physical properties including tensile strength, heat-resistance and elongation of four different CPP grades were compared. High retortable CPP had higher sealing strength and heat resistance compared to the conventional CPPs. All CPP samples tested were proved to have melting temperatures around $160^{\circ}C$. However, they were all thermally deformed by microwave heating due to a limited penetration of microwave and non-uniform heating within the spicy sauce of high viscosity contained high salt, especially on the above the filling line and sealing edge of pouches. When the laminated stand-up pouches composed of G-PET/PET/PET/CPP and G-PET/PET/NY/CPP were retorted and microwaved, significant deformations were noticed in both samples after retorting. Besides, pouches contained titanium dioxide showed more intense thermal deformation than the control. When the $10{\mu}m$ aluminium foil was affixed on the pouch, small thermal deformation was observed only in the bottom layer. More studies are required to prevent the thermal deformation of packaging materials used for RTE foods during microwave heating by developing the technologies to increase the thermal stability of CPP layer and the modification of packaging design to modify the microwave access into the package.
Positron emission tomography (PET) uses a very small scintillator to achieve exellent spatial resolution. Therefore, in this study, a PET system using a scintillator to 0.8 mm size was designed and the performance was evaluated. Anihilation radiation was generated from the center of the field of view (FOV) to the outskirts at intervals of 10 mm, and counted simultaneously. The image was reconstructed using the coincidence data, and the spatial resolution was calculated by acquiring the full width at half maximum through the profile. The spatial resolution at the center of the FOV was 1.02 mm, showing a very good result, and the spatial resolution decreased as it was located at the outer edge. To evaluate the phantom image, the Derenzo phantom was constructed to acquire the image, and the degree of classification between radiation sources was evaluated through profile analysis. The result showed that the distance between the radiation sources was larger than the spatial resolution of the radiation sources at each location, and it was confirmed that the radiation sources were distinguished through this. When the PET system designed in this study is applied to PET for small animals, it is considered that excellent performance can be secured through the characteristic of very good spatial resolution.
This paper describes organic acid-based wet chemical etching behaviors of amorphous Ga-doped zinc oxide (GZO) thin film sputter-deposited at low temperature (room temperature). Wet etch parameters such as etching time, temperature, and etchant concentration are investigated for formic and citric acid etchants, and their effects on the etch rate, etch residue and the feature of edge line are compared.
In order to maximize the matching ratio between the scintillation pixel and the photosensor of the PET detector using a small number of photosensor, various arrays of scintillation pixels and four photosensors were used. The array of scintillation pixels consisted of six cases from 6 × 6 to 11 × 11. The distance between the photosensors was applied equally to all scintillation pixels, and the arrangement was expanded by reducing the size of scintillation pixel. DETECT2000 capable of light simulation was used to acquire flood images of the designed PET detectors. At the center of each scintillation pixel array, light generated through the interaction between extinction radiation and scintillation pixels was generated, and the light was detected through for four photosensors, and then a flood image was reconstructed. Through the reconstructed flood image, we found the largest arrangement in which all the scintillation pixels can be distinguished. As a result, it was possible to distinguish all the scintillation pixels in the flood image of 8 × 8 scintillation pixel array, and from the 9 × 9 scintillation pixel flood image, the two edge scintillation pixels overlapped and appeared in the image. At this time, the matching ratio between the scintillation pixel and the photosensor was 16:1. When a PET system is constructed using this detector, the number of photosensors used is reduced and the cost of the oveall system is expected to be reduced through the simplification of the signal processing circuit.
Pentacene films, grown on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrates, were doped with Iodine. ESR measurements were made for the films in the temperature range of 100-300 K. Two regimes of doping stages were discernible: a light (intercalation) doping regime and a heavy doping regime. The light doping regime was concluded to be dominated by localized holes that were trapped at low temperatures, which indicated trap states near the valence band edge.
