A PDFF Position Control using Non-linear Compensator (비선형 보상기를 이용한 PDFF 위치제어)

  • In this paper, a new controller using non-linear compensator for position control is presented, which we can satisfy the given specifications more easily than the existing one. We suggest an improved PDFE(Integral with Proportional-Derivative-plus-Feedforward) controller by which both phase margin and bandwidth are controlled simultaneously in the controller design problem. Replacing the feed forward term in the PDFF system with a CDIDF(Complex Dual Input Describing Function), the desired phase margin is obtained without diminishing the bandwidth of the closed loop system. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is confirmed through simulations and experiments. As The results of these, we know that it is possible to adjust overall specifications by varying parameters in the improved PDFF system.

  • In this paper, we'll show that an improved PDFF controller is obtained by substituting a feedforward compensator in the existing PDFF system with a dual-input describing function, and the controller has the ability of adjusting the bandwidth of a system as well as the phase margin simultaneously. The effectiveness of the proposed controller is confirmed by applying to the DC-motor position control system. As the results of simulation, we know that it is possible to design a controller by which the bandwidth of the closed system and its phase margin are easily adjusted.

  • Ultrasonic motors have many excellent performances. A variety of ultrasonic motors has been developed and used as an actuator in motion control systems. However, this motor has nonlinear characteristics. Therefore, it is difficult to achieve the precise position control system incorporating with the ultrasonic motor. This paper describes a position control scheme for traveling-wave type ultrasonic motor using a pseudo-derivative control with feedforward gains (PDFF) controller designed by the coefficient diagram method (CDM). The PDFF control system satisfies both the tracking and regulation performances, which are the most important for the precise position control system. The CDM is shown to be an efficient and simple method to design the parameters of PDFF controller. The effectiveness of the proposed control system is demonstrated by experiments.

  • This paper sugg ests speed measurement and control system desig n methods to drive the Wheel-in Motor that is transfer rotational force to the hub of the wheel and drives it directly. The dsPIC30F2010 16 bit microprocessor specified to motion controller is used as a intelligent controller. The minimum functions of dsPIC30F2010, system clock, PWM output, I/O, timer, communication, applicable to motor control are used and operating characteristics of hall signal measurement and control software functions are tested. Also the algorithm including PDFF speed control program was implemented using this software functions and show the experimental results..

  • In this paper, the speed control system of induction motor was proposed using vector control algorithm and space voltage vector PWM method to improve the dynamic performance of induction motor. The control system is composed of the PDFF controller for speed control and the current controller using space voltage vector PWM technique. The high-speed calculation and processing for vector control is carried out by TMS320C31 digital signal processor and IPM. The proposed scheme is verified through digital simulations and experiments for 3.7(kw) induction motor and shows good dynamic performance.
