  • CTI[1]의 응용 영역 중에서 인터넷 폰이 최근 뜨거운 관심의 대상으로 떠오르고 있다. 인터넷을 이용한 음성전달 기술은 인터넷의 성장 보급과 더불어 나날이발전 하고 있는데, 이러한 음성전달기술을 이용해 개발된 소프트 웨어를 통칭해서 인터넷 폰이라고 부르고 있다. 이러한 변화 속에서 비용의 절감과 비디오 전화, 영상회의와 같은 응용에 적용할 수 있는, 본 개발은 One Encoder One Decoder 지원의 VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) Phone에 관한 것으로, 특히 압축하여 인터넷 망에 접속시켜 사용할 수 있는 PC 장착형 One Board 형태의 시스템을 구현하였다. 이 Board에 사용 된 칩셋은 국내 회사인 C&S Technology 사의SEAGUL723이며, PC인터페이스는 PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) 버스 방식을 이용하였다. 주요 연구내용에 있어서 하드웨어 부분은 내선제어모듈,PCI 모듈, 칩셋을 이용한 음성신호처리 모듈, Board제어 모듈 등이 있으며, 소프트 웨어 설계 부분에 있어서는 하드웨어 구동을 위한 시스템 드라이브, Application과 인터넷 상의 VoIP 통신을 위한 소프트웨어, 사용자를 위한 User Interface 소프트 웨어 등이 있다.

  • This paper introduces a PC-based image data processing unit that is composed of preprocessor board and main processor board; The preprocessor contains Inmos A110 processor and efficient H/W architecture for fast mask/logic operations at the speed of video signal rate. It is controlled by the main processor which communicates with the host PC. The main processor board contains TI TMS320C31 digital signal processor, and can access the frame memory of the processor for extra S/W tasks. We test 3*3, 5*5 masks and logic operations on 386/486/DSP and compare the result with that of the proposed unit. The result shows ours are extremely faster than conventional CPU based approach, that is, over several hundred times faster than even DSP.

  • In this paper Wifi robot car working as web sever on wifi network was implemented using NodeMCU ESP-12E board and its operation was verified using web browser of smart phone and PC. Current research result can be applicable to Wifi home automation applications with ESP-12E board.

  • In this paper, we propose a virtual violin implementation using the detection of bowing and finger dropping position from the estimated finger tip and finger board information with the 3D image data from a Kinect. Violin finger board pattern and depth information are extracted from the color image and depth image to detect the touch event on the violin finger board and to identify the touched position. Final decision of activated musical alphabet is carried out with the finger drop position and bowing information. Our virtual violin uses PC MIDI to output synthesized violin sound. The experimental results showed that the proposed method can detect finger drop position and bowing detection with high accuracy. Virtual violin can be utilized for the easy and convenient interface for a beginner to learn playing violin with the PC-based learning software.

  • 본 연구에서는 불법 주 정차 단속을 위한 번호판 인식용 스피드돔 카메라 개발을 위한 선행 연구로 전체 목표 중 PC와 카메라 모듈간 통신 Board 제작과 소니의 FCB-EX1010 카메라 기능 확인을 위한 PC S/W 구성, VISCA/RS232C Command 확인 및 One Board 작성에 필요한 사전 PC 용 프로그램 구성과 VISCA 통신 Format을 이용한 통신 프로그램을 구성하고 평가하였다. 구성한 통신 보드와 프로그램, 통신 Format은 정상 작동하도록 완성하였으며, 결합한 테스트에서 통신 향후 다양한 주의할 점과 목표를 찾아내었다. 정밀 장거리 스피드 돔 카메라 요구가 많아지고 있는 시점에서 적정한 개발을 위한 선행 연구이었다.

  • Acoustic emission(AE) technique has been applied to not only mechanical property testing but also on-line monitoring of the entire structure or a limit zone only. Although several AE devices have already been developed for on-line monitoring, the price of these systems is very high and it is difficult for the field to apply yet. In this study, we developed a specially designed PC-based leak detection system using A/D board. In this paper, AE technique has been applied to detect leak for heat exchanger by analyzing the characteristics of signal obtained from leak. It was confirmed that the characteristics of the signal generated by the turbulence of gas in the heat exchanger is narrow band signal having between 130-250kHz. Generally, the amplitude of leak signal is increased as the leak size increasing, but showed no significant change at frequency characteristic. Leak source location can be found by determining for the paint of highest signal amplitude by comparing with several fixed sensors. In this paper, AE results are compared with the PC-based leak detection system using A/D board.

  • In this paper, we performed the implementation of image transmission server system using embedded system that is for the specified object and easy to install at any places and move to wherever. Since the embedded system has lower capability than PC, we have to reduce the quantity of calculation and transmission. The image compression like JPEG, needs that the server calculates for making compressed image, makes the server carry the load. So we compresses the image at the server and transmit the codes to the clients connected, then the received codes from server are decoded and displayed at the clients. In this process to make the image compression and transmission effectively, we decrease the procedure as simple as possible to transmit the data in almost real-time. We used the Redhat linux 9.0 OS at the host PC and the target board based on embedded linux. The image sequences are obtained from the camera attached to the FPGA board with ALTERA chip. For effectiveness and avoiding some constraints, we made the device driver. Generally the image transmission server is PC, but using the embedded system as a server makes the server portable and cheaper than the system based on PC.

  • In this paper, a control system of the PUMA 560 robot manipulator using a PC (Personal Computer) is presented. The hardware of the designed control system is composed of IBM-PC/AT, interface board, selection board, interrupt generating circuit, and the servo control unit of the PUMA controller. A robot control library is developed using assembly and C language, and is composed of several low-level functions and arm interface routines, world model routines, arm kinematics routines, and motion command service routines. Using the designed library, joint interpolated motion and Cartesian interpolated motion of the PUMA robot manipulator are realized. In the future, our system is expected to be a very helpful basis and a useful tool for developing various control algorithms of robot manipulator using sensory information.

  • In this paper, the FPGA-based SoC board (Xilinx Virtex-4 ML401 EVM) is adopted to control electrical power inverter system. For marine application, its performance is shown on PC-based system for monitoring electrical characteristics of a power inverter using by the NMEA 2000 protocol. This power inverter system is achieved in Real-Time monitoring and control by dual micro-processor operation on embedded FPGA-based SoC board. One micro processor is for control (Control processor) electrical power inverter using by PWM signal. And the other microprocessor (Communication processor) is for communication with PC-based monitoring system. The two-processor is communicating each other using by dual-port ram (DPRAM). PC-based system user can control and monitor information of the electrical power inverter via NMEA 2000 based communication processor. Control and monitoring information includes the inverter status and configuration. SoC board converts this information to Parameter Group Numbers (PGNs) in the NMEA 2000 protocol. This system can be applied to marine power electronics for distributed power generation, transmission or regulation systems on the ship.
